NoE PR - In shops now and on Nintendo eShop: The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
While it’s set in the same world as a SNES classic this brand new title boasts new dungeons, puzzles and powers, creating a fresh challenge for fans and newcomers alike. Those who want their love for Zelda to be on show for all to see will be excited to hear there’s a The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Limited Edition Nintendo 3DS XL available now too, which features a gold and black Triforce design and includes a download code for the game to boot.
In the land of Hyrule, when an evil mage called Yuga starts to kidnap the descendants of the Seven Sages, it soon becomes clear the only one who can combat his wickedness is our hero, Link! With sword in hand, it’s up to Link to undo Yuga’s evil deeds and set the world to rights.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds breaks the classic conventions of the Zelda series, allowing you to rent or buy the items you want, whenever you want. With your chosen tools in hand, you can brave dungeons in any order you choose, or head off in a different direction if you fancy. On this occasion Link has gained the power to move over walls as if he were a painting, giving a shiny new perspective to exploration and puzzle-solving too. Using this novel ability, Link can move between the ancient kingdom of Hyrule and the dark world of Lorule – and getting to know both will be the key to success!
On top of all this heroism, there’s extra fun to discover via StreetPass, a range of playful side quests, and wacky minigames too. Find out about all this and more at our official The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds website. Also on the official website, you can find a link to a dedicated Iwata Asks interview for this title, in which game producer Eiji Aonuma and his team discuss Shigeru Miyamoto’s initial reaction to the game concept, their dream of breaking Zelda conventions and what led to the game’s beautifully familiar setting.
