I haven't, no. What is Google Wave? I've heard of it plenty of times, but never tried it...or even looked into it.

it's like some giant notepad file you can invite your friends to and they can see you typing and it's all "hey bro I'm starting a wave on google wave" I think

Wave is like email, but where each email is like a chat room, but where the chat is saved like a forum post. Waves are normally just between a handful of people. You can make a wave "public", but once it gets too many participates it gets real messy/slow.
