Well, there are tons of ways.
Get rid of all programs running in the background--especially internet. Just turn them off while playing. Set all your settings on as low as you can go...it's not like textures matter. Get a new graphics cards if you're having a hard time. more RAM might help, but I doubt it.

I've done most of that. I probably just need to invest in a graphics card. A good one though.

Trust me though, getting rid of the background processes you aren't using. It usually saves me around 5-10 FPS!

It's not your PC, It's all the code that TF2 is using now. TF2 is like a *crag*ing brick now because of the terribly optimized code. That's what Chin fish means.

Also try 24 slot servers. TF2 is a slow and laggy game for everyone.

Try putting this in your launch options for TF2: mat_dxlevel 81

Delete the System 32 folder, It holds unnessisary files that aren't needed for anything above windows 98.
