While his pretentious "I'm a vegetarian" attitude throughout the article pissed me off (I get pissed off when people start ranting about how they hate meat in general all the time anyway), the article does remind me why I'd probably never want to live in Japan.
Mainly because of the anti-foreigner racism they supposedly hold. While it's apparently less aggressive than the racism that may exist in other parts of the world, from all the stories I've heard from people who live in Japan, it's far more widespread and far more patronizing.
