This game is fan-*crag*ing-tastic, you should all buy it. Even though it's a prequel to Fusion, it's also a spiritual successor to Fusion; it is, like, an evolution of the classic 2D formula, only more action-packed.
IT feels more generic action-y than an actual metroid. Also story is gay and completely unnecessary. Also wtf is up with missiles. Also Fusion sucked. Also you're just an angry woman.
@ Flavio: Not really. There's still plenty of power ups to be found; sure, it's alot more linear, but there are still puzzles and challenges scattered throughout. The story isn't fantastic, sure, but it's decent, and even then, who gives a *crag* about the story in a Metroid game (Especially when the cutscenes are actually spaced pretty far apart in Metroid: Other M; it's not like MGS4 or anything). The missile thing is weird, but in terms of gameplay, it actually works kinda well considering the overall combat structure. Also Fusion was amazing (Although not as good as Zero Mission). @Popple: First off, who actually played Hunters online? Secondly, the single-player campaign in Hunters (The most important part of a Metroid game) was complete shit.
Dude you have no *crag*ing idea how deep that shit runs.
Hunters was a big deal to a good chunk of people.
And for a portable Prime, that shit was pretty good.
But it was also hated by a significant chunk of people. And I disagree; they could've had more than essentially TWO bosses in the single-player, and they could've made the hunter portions less tedious/annoying. Plus, the level design was kinda crappy, as well.
I bought it on launching day, and my wii cant read it due to laser errors, had to ship it in, but hey i still got that kickass concept art thingy. I did play like 15 minutes of it before the wii started gettting read errors, and from what i played it was not that bad. its no prime, but for the fact that team ninja made it, the game is pretty damn good.
I liked prime mostly for theexploration and interaction , prime 2 was probably my favorite because of the weapons and story, and prime 3 had the best music, so for me it goes as follows :2,3,1
oh yeah and hunters was actually a good game, but i dont consider it a main prime game.

Just that it was cutscene-heavy

you guys have to admit. the cutscenes in Other M looks pretty damn sexy for a WII game.
all all want to know is, crump, is the game long enough to buy it or is it rent worthy.
so
I like how a shitstorm started over someone's opinion of a game.
dog hunters was pretty bad
it was good for maybe like 2 months and then people started cheating
also flav fusion was the best metroid game since super metroid
you have no taste
Someone call the short bus.
