Introducing New Profile Functionality!
Our LittleBigPlanet Community is ever-expanding; it’s an explosion of awesomeness and we are so happy that you love to share your content for everyone else to play and review. Reviewing levels and giving constructive feedback is a great way for creators to hone their creation skills, improve their levels and make them even more enjoyable for everyone else to play.
Sometimes, though, not everyone likes to play nicely and instead of being constructive they can be somewhat mean. :( We think that if you don’t have anything nice or constructive to say, then don’t say anything at all! Our moderation team is always working hard to keep the community a friendly place for all, but now you will have the ability to silence any troublesome users that are spoiling your fun. You too can be a moderator of your very own profile and levels!
In our continued efforts to improve LittleBigPlanet, we are introducing some new profile functionality on LBP.me. With the new Block toggle, the power is being put into your hands to mute anyone being bothersome and let you go about your business in peace.
Let’s keep LittleBigPlanet like it should be, a positive hub of shared creativity where you can communicate constructively with like-minded sack-folk and have a jolly good time! Keep enjoying LittleBigPlanet!
For more information on how to use this new functionality or to learn how to report problem users to us, head on over to: http://littlebigplanet.com/goodgrief.
Let’s dive right into our Team Picks for this week! We have featured a whole range of levels across the LittleBigPlanet series, but here are two great levels that really stood out to us! Take a look at these great levels and don’t forget to check out all of the brand new Team Picks for each title, every week!

Our LittleBigPlanet 2: Mm Picks this week features a great selection of skill-based games that will really put your jumping abilities to the test!

Shinobi Challenge is our next challenging level where you jump, swing and bounce across an oriental landscape before heading into a tower and use your Shinobi skills to ascend this high-rise challenge. With gameplay very reminiscent of Tower of Whoop, you will see yourself coming back again and again to keep your combo score up and beat the high score.
Our last challenging level this week is Melting Point, a more classic platforming level for Sackboy which grants him some additional wall-jumping and ledge-climbing abilities. Put these new abilities to great use and try not to get burnt!

This didn’t deter community member evret though, as he began working straight away on a LittleBigPlanet PS Vita conversion of Surge just for leklack. You can check out this great level for yourself in the video below.
FuturLab were so impressed by evret’s new level and his dedication to bringing Surge to LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, that they declared that evret needs a medal! I didn’t get to try the cake for myself but I’m reliably informed that it was both very well-received and delicious, so the folks in Benelux would like to say a big thank you for the gift.

If you were to visit the Media Molecule studio, you’d see that it’s very us. The pink carpets lead you through to a work space that’s filled with bright colours and interesting or curious things to look at. In a bid to keep our surroundings inspiring and as conducive to creativity as possible, we’re spoiled rotten with creature comforts and toys to play. To a visitor, all of this can make for quite a tour.
As a visitor though, you’d only get to see a brief glimpse of the studio – enough to take in the big picture, but not enough to truly get a feel for the place, and they say; the devil is in the detail. If you were able to spend more time here, you’d start to notice all the little things that are perhaps less immediately enticing as a ping pong table, but are far more interesting, and quite often, downright odd.
It’s the slightly weirder or out of place things that I think truly reflect the creative eccentricities of this merry band of game developers. See that mountain of paper? Have a bit of rummage and you’ll discover that it’s actually Rex’s desk, and its made from a treasure trove of doodles. Siobhan’s desk plays host to an exquisite collection of snow globes, and Alex’s cluttered mess could very well contain the secrets of the universe, if only it could be deciphered.
In an attempt to offer the world a more detailed glimpse inside the studio, I’ve put together a selection of some of my favourite oddities from around the place; purposeful art, random graffiti, endearing decoration, and things of unknown origin. Some can be found in plain sight, others might require looking a little closer, but all of them will give you a glimpse inside the head of the average Molecule, rather than simply the studio they work in.
Make of them what you will!
