@iEfrenR Yep - but not the one currently being developed on PC. It's a completely new project - set in the same universe.

@moldyclay It's 2D sprites and some artwork - we need in-game art - enemy sprites, interface, backgrounds, etc..

Q-Games not doing 3DS games in the near future, Wii U needs software, Nintendo has 'cute' style

A portion of a Siliconera interview with Dylan Cuthbert, President Q-Games...

S: Is Q-Games going to do any Nintendo 3DS development too?

DC: Not at the moment because we’ve got quite a lot of projects currently on the boil, that kind of thing. We’re a bit busy, so there won’t be any 3DS in the immediate future, at least.

S: Digidrive from the Art Style series was pretty neat.

DC: We do like that kind of stuff, but I think if we’re going to move PixelJunk to a mobile platform apart from Vita or PSP, I think it would be iOS. I think it seems more of an appropriate fit for smaller games. I think people on the 3DS are used to bigger games. PixelJunk is about concise, small games, but with a big heart.

S: What does Microsoft have to do to come back?

DC: I think they need to reinvent themselves a bit. Their image is too corporate and big. They aren’t geared towards aesthetics and art and I think that’s a big problem. I think Sony is more in that direction. Nintendo is cute and has their own style, which is fine as well. It’s great for the younger market in Japan. I think that kind of outlook makes a big difference to the games you select and games that you sell.

S: What do you think Nintendo needs to do with the Wii U for both Japan and the West?

DC: I think software. If they are going to win they are going to have to figure out the games. They probably need like new super IP, a special IP that makes people really interested. But they always come up with something. They are always very innovative. Even with the DS when it first came out people said that’s not very good and it’s not going to do very well, but it sold hundreds of millions and had lots of innovative titles. I think they will find something that will sell a lot. Who would have known Wii Fit would have sold like 15 million units?
John “Q” de “Q” Lancie Is In Quantum Conundrum

You know what was rubbish? Star Trek: The Next Generation. I think I’ve seen every single episode. And how do I empirically know it was rubbish? Because every time John de Lancie showed up in it, playing the god-like brat Q, his glow of awesomeness shone a light on the pastel gloom that surrounded him. In a ship powered by Georgie’s sighing, motivated by Troi’s whinging, and kept in order by Picard’s tugging, not even the almost-quite-good Brent Spiner could rescue it from its maudlin Roddenberry-driven goodie-goodie nonsense. But Q – the moment he appeared on deck the sound of popping pomposity filled your ears. Oh, yes, sorry – John de Lancie has been signed up to provide voices for Kim “Portal” Swift’s Quantum Conundrum.

Coming from Q-Games… “E3 coming up… it’s exciting! Three of our games are at the show! That has to be some kind of record for a small company like Q right?” I really hope Q-Games is working on something Nintendo-related. I love their work, but they need to show more Nintendo love!
Sob story: Why I'll be playing Child of Eden with Kinect

It seemed like a fine idea for a feature.

Armed with a early preview disc for Ubisoft's upcoming Child of Eden, I would compare the game's two methods of control, the good old-fashioned thumbstick and buttons and the newfangled Kinect method. Then, when comparing the scores for both, I'd have a pretty good idea of which method is superior.

So what was the problem? The fly in the ointment? ... Well, see, one of the methods made me cry.

A portion of a Gamasutra interview with Dylan Cuthbert of Q-Games… GS: What do you think about the DSiWare platform? There’s not a lot of data out there about how it’s taken off. DC: Yeah, we don’t get any data either, so I don’t know. I can’t really comment on that. Nintendo would tell me off. (Laughs) [...]

A portion of a VG247 interview with Q-Games’ Shouichi Tominaga, Rhod Broadbent and Duncan Flett… Rhod: Piracy’s a factor when we decide what projects we’re doing next – whether or not that platform is suffering heavily from piracy or not. I know Dylan’s made some comments about this, but we don’t solely base our decisions around [...]

Looks like another DSiWare title to me, but we won’t know for sure until Nintendo sneaks it onto one of their download services. Don’t be surprised if this game pops up in the next week or two, ready for you to download.

A portion of a FinalBoss interview with Dylan Cuthbert of Q Games… FB: It seems you have a very good working relationship with Sony, given the PixelJunk exclusives and the XMB (Cross Media Bar) visualizers. You’ve also developed games for the DS and GBA, like “Star Fox Command” and “bit Generations: Digidrive”. Platform-wise, what is Q-Games’ [...]
