Since the launch of the PlayStation Rewards beta, members have been benefiting from doing the things they love to do on PlayStation and progressing towards Select, Pro and Legendary. You may have even seen some of the members that have already reached a rewards tier showing off their status in the PlayStation.com forums or online via their exclusive PSN avatars.

When we announced the PlayStation Rewards program, we promised that it would continually be evolving. We have heard your feedback and today are excited to announce the addition of Quests to the program, which provide yet another fun way for members to participate and earn progress. Quests are PlayStation-related activities that you can complete to directly add to your progress meter.

For example, with Quests, users will earn progress for playing an eligible PlayStation Move game in the “Move It” quest, for watching PlayStation Network’s PULSE in HD on their PS3 system in the “Check Your Pulse” quest, or for visiting the Central Plaza in PlayStation Home in the “No Place Like Home” quest. Nine Quests will be released in the beta by tomorrow, and we’ll be adding crafty new quests throughout the year for your enjoyment.

We hope those of you in the program are enjoying it so far. PlayStation Rewards was made to recognize and reward members for doing the things they love – interacting with and experiencing the entertainment that PlayStation offers. As users play games, check out PlayStation Network’s original programming, review games and explore PlayStation Home, they will earn progress toward the program’s three tiers – Select, Pro and Legendary status. In addition, members of PlayStation Rewards will be eligible to win exclusive prizes and collectible memorabilia throughout the year.

Hi everyone – it’s time for another Digital Comics Store update. This week we have a huge update and a lot more content from BOOM! Studios.

To kick off the new partnership, BBC America has made the first episode of the American version of "Top Gear" available at no charge (normally $1.99 for SD, $2.99 for HD), at least for the first two weeks. "Doctor Who" and "Being Human" will join "Top Gear" on the network's launch list at some point in December, and BBC America promises to "rapidly add BBC programming each week, including the best of the BBC's library as well as currently airing series."

As you've likely already guessed, the BBC's offerings can be found in the video section of the PlayStation Store starting right now.

Hi everyone — A lot of us around here are big fans of “Top Gear,” the wildly popular and Emmy award-winning BBC show that features a group of men doing exciting, interesting and potentially dangerous test drives of cars in different environments. Now, we are excited to announce the U.S. version of “Top Gear” is making its debut in the PlayStation Network Video Store today. And, for the next two weeks, you can download and enjoy the first episode for free, offering a great segue to today’s launch of Gran Turismo 5.

This is all part of a new television content offering from the BBC, making classic and current seasons of popular TV shows from BBC AMERICA available on the PlayStation Network. During the first three episodes of “The Tester 2,” the cast has been tested on their PlayStation knowledge, attention to detail, memorization and communication skills. This week, it’s time to see what they’re truly made of in the most physically demanding teamwork challenge of the season, inspired by Medal of Honor. We’ll see who can really dig into the trenches and continue to prove that they have what it takes to be the next PlayStation QA Tester.

Along with the Medal of Honor themed challenge comes the Tier 1 beard! Greg Goodrich, EA’s executive producer for Medal of Honor, joins both Adrianne Curry and Brent Gocke to determine who’s moving up the ranks and who’s turning in their badge.

Episode 4 of “The Tester 2” debuts today only on the PlayStation Network. Look to download from the PlayStation Store later today after the update and check it out in PlayStation Home starting Wednesday to receive a new ‘Game Over’ T-shirt.

The VUDU app adds to the vast amount of entertainment available through PlayStation Network, including movies and TV shows via Netflix and Hulu Plus as well as live sports with MLB.tv and NHL GameCenter LIVE.

To download the free VUDU app, go to the media category in the PlayStation Store. Once downloaded, the app will appear under the video icon in your XMB. Also – VUDU recently unveiled their new UI, VUDU 2.0, at a recent press event, and if you download the app, it will automatically refresh on your PS3 when it launches next month. VUDU 2.0 will also offer PlayStation Move compatibility for easy to use motion control navigation.
