ye might play Diablo III before the end a the year. ye might not. Probably not, if I be a betting man.
Even though Activision 'n Blizzard Entertainment be one 'n the same, Blizzard's treated differently than the rest a the company, with Activision never committing Blizzard t' release dates or guaranteeing revenues until the game's actually out.
Blizzard be as non-committal as ever in today's call with investors, with Blizzard CEO Michael Morhaime once again restating that the company hopes t' deliver Diablo III before the end a the year.
This be just a hope, though.
"[we be] not ready t' commit t' a release date at this time," said Morhaime.
"There's a lot a moving parts in putting out a complicated release like Diablo III," he said later. "we be not yet in beta. it be really going t' come down when the game be ready for prime-time. We'll know more when we hit beta 'n we'll know more when we put some a these new systems into test."
The new systems he's alluding t' be, for example, the controversial real-money auction house.
Morhaime also said the impending beta test be scheduled before the end a the current quarter, which means sometime between now 'n the end a October.
Cross yer fingers, folks.
