No, not as in enthusiasts. Not even mechanical fans, either. We're talking about video game themed hand fans by deviantART user SarurunKamui—like the Okami one above. Pretty fantastic, right? SarunrunKamui has a bevy of them on deviantART which you should check out, but here are some highlights. Arcanine, from Pokemon Espeon and Umbreon from Pokemon The protagonist of Journey Ho-oh from Pokemon Lugia, from Pokemon Amaterasu, from Okami You can visit SarurunKamui's Etsy shop here, where you can commission fans.

#showus It is always nice to see a video game set in the feudal, pre-industrial era of Japan. The Japanese countryside in general has a special, comforting atmosphere, and combining it with badass samurai warriors and political drama always has spectacular results. We have selected games for today's Show Us gallery that both have these attributes, and use them really well. More »

#silenthill Gorgeous prints of Okami, The Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy, while always welcomed, are not a rarity. Charming impressions of Pyramid Head, on the other hand, are a lot more rare. And, admittedly, with good reason. More »

#okami I've seen some Okami statues in my time, but I've never seen one made using a technique called "needle felting", which I'm going to imagine involves flying to 20,000 feet, scooping some cloud into a basket then coming back down and knitting with it. More »

#okami While it won't look as good as it could, which is a bit of a shame, Capcom's upcoming HD re-release of Okami still looks great. Especially when you watch this new trailer in 1080p, and remember just how satisfying it was to unleash that STORM OF FLOWERS. More »

Note: this is from the already released Wii version of Okami.

If you, like me, still haven’t played Okami, Capcom is giving us another chance with Okami HD, scheduled for a release on PlayStation Network this “fall” for PlayStation 3.

Besides the high-definition bump, Okami will have support for PlayStation Move. You’ll still be able to use a controller.

I’ve never purposely passed on Okami, and I know how many great things have been said about it, but circumstances have worked against me...and the supposedly 40-hour playtime has always given me pause.

Maybe I’ll finally make the leap. Okami HD being only $19.99 helps, too.

If you missed out on Okami or the DS sequel, Okamiden, Capcom's upcoming re-release may suit your needs. Okami is currently being remastered for the PS3, with full 1080p HD graphics and PlayStation Move support.

This is all according to the latest issue of Famitsu, as revealed by Twitter sleuth Sinobi (translated by Andriasang). This Okami remaster is planned to launch on November 1 in Japan, for ¥3990 ($50).

Update: Capcom just sent out a press release confirming the news. Okami HD will launch on PSN this fall, replete with PS3 Trophies and optional PS Move support. It will be priced at $19.99.

#soulcalilbur For a bunch of itinerant warriors chasing after a sentient, demonic weapon all over the medieval world, the characters of Namco's Soulcalibur franchise have always looked exceptionally striking. There's been lots of layers and detailing to the outfits that Taki, Cervantes and Xianghua have rocked over the years. Maybe even appliqué, too? Well, that's all about to get even more fashion-forward in the series' next chapter with the addition of designer Mari Shimazaki. More »

PSP developer Ready At Dawn Studios is known for delivering console-like experiences on the Sony handheld, specifically with the God of War series. And now it appears as if the studio will be developing another actual console-based experience. A recent job listing, at least, says that a console game is in development at the studio. Provided nothing terrible happens, this’ll be the first console title Ready at Dawn will have released since the 2008 Wii port of Okami, a PS2 original.

"Are you ready to work on an exciting new AAA IP for the home console?" the listing asks, not leaving much to question. "Ready At Dawn is working on a 3rd-person action adventure and is looking for talented, motivated and self-directed developers to join our team,” it says.

Regardless of these, Amaterasu’s adventure is still an epic endeavour, and a must play for [...]
