Coming from Massive Entertainment's MD David Polfeldt...

"It’s tremendously important for us as a developer studio, to know that the owner and the publisher are ready to take that hit, and [the Watch Dogs delay] was a massive hit. I think their shares fell 25 per cent on the day it was announced. It takes so much courage to live through that day and still think that was a good decision. So for us in the development [side of things], that’s an important message that ultimately the management will back up the goals that we have, which is the game has to be great.

That’s ultimately the end goal and then it’s a million times better if it’s on time, but if there is a choice between time and quality, then quality will win. If you look at Ubisoft you see a lot of people who have been in the company for over 20 years and that’s not very common today in corporate landscapes. But I do think that one of the reasons is people believe that ultimately this company has a very positive agenda about putting out good entertainment products and we’re willing to back it up, we’re will to take a few hits and some larger risks to make sure quality is very high.

"Definitely when we go to the internal milestones, we’re constantly being pushed for more innovation, thinking further, what could you do that surprises even ourselves? What are we not doing that we could do? Have you studied the competition?”

A portion of a 4cr interview with Twisted Fusion's Lewis Pugh...

4cr: How much time will it take someone to play Twisted Fusion from start to finish?

LP: It really depends on the style of the player because of the open-world nature. There’s allot of content in the game that isn’t needed to see the credits but make for a much more complete experience and should be great for replay value. In terms of actual time I think the average player will take about 8 hours to complete the story. However even after the story has ended there will still be stuff to do.

CyberGadget wants you to have a more authentic Mario Kart 8 experience when driving with motion controls, so they've created a 'handle stand' for your GamePad. Plop it in to get a more realistic feel. If that's not your thing, you can always swap that configuration out for a Wii Wheel accessory.

E3: Behind The Curtain Is…
As of April 15th, it is a mere 56 days before E3 – that’s just 8 weeks from today! We’re a bit nerdy when it comes to booth design – we like having something a little different each and every year, while maintaining a few staples that our E3 fans have come to love. Watch for a full album of memories live from E3, as CeeCee will be in the booth again this year with her camera snapping all sorts of pics!

E3: What Shall We Play?

We know our fans are anxious to hear what we’ll be showing, and we’ll have lots of news coming over the next two months as we get ever-closer to the show’s launch. While we can’t discuss any specific titles at this time, rest assured that many of the staple Natsume series that we’re known for will be in attendance. We’ll have a final line-up of games that will be showing during E3 (June 10th-12th) in late May or early June!

This pic comes from a recent hands-on demo with Mario Kart 8. You can clearly see that 27 characters are revealed, with 3 question marks hiding other characters. Unless the character select screen expands somehow, we know there are at least 3 more racers to reveal. Thanks to Michael for the heads up!

San Jose, CA - April 15, 2014 - MonkeyPaw Games, Inc. has announced that BurgerTime World Tour will now sell for a delicious $4.99 until April 30, 2014 when it will be removed from digital store fronts due to expiring licensing agreements.

After April 30, 2014, players who have purchased the game should still be able to access their download.

“Removing a game is never something we like to do, but it is part of the nature of working with retro game franchises,” said Ryan Olsen, PR Manager for MonkeyPaw Games. “For those that have yet to snack on the game, we are offering it at a tasty price before BurgerTime World Tour is taken off the menu.”

BurgerTime World Tour introduced fresh and meaty additions to the re-imagined franchise. BurgerTime featured platforming elements, boss characters and local plus online multiplayer to spice up the classic gaming favorite.

Nintendo hereby announces a new Wii Remote Plus controller styled in the royal fashion of Princess Peach. The pink controller features many touches that pay homage to the Mushroom Kingdom’s most powerful heroine, who recently starred in the Super Mario 3D World game for the Wii U console. The new controller includes a crown design over the speaker, blue buttons that echo Peach’s royal jewelry and a golden-yellow plus pad that evokes her regal crown.

The new Peach Pink Wii Remote Plus will start appearing in stores in late April at a suggested retail price of $39.99. It joins other controllers themed to Nintendo characters, including the red Mario and green Luigi controllers. Wii Remote Plus includes Wii MotionPlus technology, and works with all Wii and Wii U games that call for Wii Remote controllers. Fans of Mario Kart 8 might want to pick up the new remote to control Peach when the game launches May 30.
