Four Mega Mans for the price of one!

As of right now, that limited edition anniversary box is Japan only, and I have a feeling it’ll stay that way. That looks like a must-have for Mega Man fans, so keep an eye on import retailers. Keep your fingers crossed as well!

Capcom has revealed that the Mega Man Zero Collection for DS will hit its projected "early summer" release, despite its delay in Japan. Specifically, the publisher announced that the compilation of four Game Boy Advance side-scrollers will arrive in North America on June 8 for $30. That's just $7.50 per Zero! Additionally, a new trailer can be seen above, and the (lovely) box art has been added to our gallery.

New features in the collection include customizable controls, an art gallery functionality (which displays art on the bottom screen and the game on the top screen, so you can look while you play), and a new "Easy Scenario" mode to help new players get through these difficult games.

[Daigasso! Band Brothers & Daigasso! Band Brothers DX] Nintendo of Europe released its summer lineup today, featuring dates we mostly know -- Super Mario Galaxy 2 on June 11 -- or aren't terribly concerned with -- Repetto Presents Ballerina in May. Metroid: Other M is still undated, having been slated for Q3, and therefore out of the bounds of the new listing.

However, there are a few welcome surprises, most notably: Jam with the Band. Originally released way back in 2004 as Daigasso! Band Bros., this rhythm game disappeared from Nintendo's launch lineup elsewhere, never making it to the West until now. We don't know why Nintendo decided to revive it now -- or if it's the first game or the sequel (both covers pictured above) -- but it's scheduled for release in Europe on May 21! Samurai Warriors 3 for Wii has been dated for May 28, as well.

Nintendo has also dated Capcom's Mega Man Zero Collection for June. The release date for this DS compilation of GBA Mega Man games had been up in the air following the announcement of its delay in Japan. Also, a previously unannounced DS title from Hudson, Shooting Watch, is set for release in May. We assume this is based on Hudson's Shooting Watch toy, which measures the number of button presses you can achieve in 10 seconds.

Capcom has terrible luck with handheld Mega Man compilations. Remember how a collection of the Game Boy Mega Man games was supposed to be released alongside the GameCube/PS2 Mega Man Anniversary Collection? Remember when that actually happened? (No, because it didn't.) Now the Japanese website for the DS Mega Man Zero Collection reveals that the game's April 22 release date in that region has been delayed to an unspecified date.

We've put in an inquiry with Capcom about whether this affects the "early summer" release date for North America. But if the company doesn't know when it'll release the game in Japan, the other dates would pretty much have to be up in the air as well.

Capcom passed along some screens and artwork of its upcoming Mega Man Zero Collection for DS, though the screens look suspiciously singular. Essentially, these are screenshots of the Game Boy Advance originals, without the DS's second screen. But since the screens focus on the important bit (the actual games), and because many people interested in this collection probably haven't been exposed to the original games, we're posting them anyway.

As a nice bonus, Capcom also sent out artwork featuring Zero looking pretty freaking cool. Mega Man Zero Collection arrives in stores early this summer.

In the mood for several more Mega Man games simultaneously? Capcom just announced its plans to localize the Mega Man Zero Collection for Nintendo DS. The collection contains all four games in the Mega Man X spinoff series Mega Man Zero, originally released on Game Boy Advance between 2002 and 2005. The press release promises "new modes," though it doesn't specify what those modes are. We know that the Japanese version includes some kind of artwork collection. The collection will be released in "early summer 2010," just in time for us to have given up on trying to complete Mega Man 10.
