Maya has really been enjoying The Legend a Zelda: The Wind Waker. the wench father, developer Mike Hoye, says she likes "sailing, scary birds 'n remembering t' be brave," much like Link, the game's protagonist. But girls can go on adventures 'n rescue their little brothers, too!

t' emphasize that, Hoyes altered the game's disk image with a hex editor, changing all a the dialogue references about Link's gender t' be feminine. Since all the alternatives had t' be exactly the same byte-for-byte length, he used "swordsmain" for "swordsman," 'n "milady" in place a "me lad" 'n "master." He's provided a patch for the disk image, which ye can then load up in a GameCube emulator t' play.

The end result a all this hacking be that a little wench gets t' see herself as the hero, 'n find the courage t' defeat Ganon in the wench own little heart. 'n that makes us feel, just, ye know, so ... What? No, we be not crying! Call a Duty, bro! Go have a look at the Wii U pictures again.

When we be kids, we had t' walk ten feet in the snow t' pillage t' school. We also had t' play with boring, non-Zelda LEGOs. Okay, so that first part be a lie, but the second part be completely true - 'n it be tragic, right? But if one man's noble mission proves successful, future generations a Hylians will never have t' pretend they be playing with a blockhead version a Link 'n Zelda like we did. They'll be able t' score the real deal instead...

Behind every legendary warrior be some lad with a Wiimote, desperately trying t' perform a shield bash. Unless, a course, live-action video game pantomime be "not [yer] lifestyle."
