Filling a swimming pool with fake blood 'n body parts t' promote a video game never seemed t' me like a particularly tasteful idea in the first place. it be even less so after a grisly machete killing, described as an act a terrorism, roiled anger throughout London this week.
Capcom planned the stunt t' promote the May 24 U.K. release a Resident Evil: Revelations on consoles 'n PC. It filled 55,000 gallon pool with fake blood 'n dumped in a bunch a fake eyeballs, body parts, intestines 'n brains, challenging people t' dive in 'n swim t' the bottom for free stuff.
That be before the murder on Wednesday a Lee Rigby, in the London neighborhood a Woolwich, an attack described in news reports as a beheading. Rigby's killers be said t' have made jihadist statements on a video taken at the scene a the murder, which has incited anger against Muslims in that country. Right-wing groups have gone on the march in London 'n elsewhere since the slaying.
Capcom announced shortly thereafter that the Resident Evil promotion, which be t' have been held Saturday 'n Sunday, be off. Probably a good idea. Last year Capcom ran a "human meat market" in East London t' promote Resident Evil 6.

Overall, Resident Evil: Revelations comes highly recommended for fans a the series wanting a more traditional take on the franchise. The 360 'n PS3 versions be worth equal consideration, while the PC game, despite a few hiccups, provides the most fluid 'n responsive experience available due t' running at much higher frame-rates 'n without needing powerful hardware t' do so. Revelations be still well worth buying on the Wii U if ye don't own the other current-gen consoles - it be still the same excellent game. But the more erratic performance means 'n less precise controls mean that it isn't quite as fun t' play.
