Street Fighter X Tekken released on March 6, 2012, meaning Namco Bandai has been answering so-where-the-hell-is-it questions about Tekken X Street Fighter since March 7, 2012. Five games under the Tekken brand have appeared since, raising offhand speculation about TxSF's priority.Read more...

Both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Capcom's fairly massive Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collection have been temporarily discounted over at Capcom's official shop, meaning that either version of the 15 disc box set can be had for the princely sum of $100.

While both bundles include a metric ton of physical goodies, Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike Online Edition and Street Fighter X Tekken, the PS3 SKU also includes codes to download all three Street Fighter Alpha games on PSN, in addition to other digital bonuses.

So, if you're part of the subset of people who own both consoles and are eager to dump a solid Benjamin on a stack of Street Fighter tapes, the PlayStation 3 version will have more bang for your buck. Also, can we borrow some money?

If you've been in the market for an arcade stick, cheap wired controller or guitar with hundreds and hundreds of buttons on it, now may be the time to slap down some digitally represented dollar bills.

Mad Catz has applied 37 to 69-percent discounts on a wide range of its peripheral offerings, dropping its branded SoulCalibur 5 and Street Fighter X Tekken FightSticks down to $100 a pop, its SFXT FightPads down to $20 and various Rock Band 3 instrument bundles to over half off. You can also snag a PS3 version of the limited edition EVO 2012 FightStick for $100, in addition to discounted WWE All Stars sticks/pads and Damage Inc. Pacific Squadron WWII flight stick packs.

Sadly, the sale does not include the Sanrio FightStick, which is still both $160 and the cutest ever.

The PC versions of fighting games are usually the last to receive any updates or content made for their respective arcade and/or console brethren, but that doesn't mean the developers behind said games don't feel super awful about it.

To wit, Capcom will be reducing the price of the Street Fighter X Tekken character DLC that hits PCs on Wednesday, February 6, from $19.99 to $4.99, at least for the first two weeks of its availability. The DLC pack contains 12 characters originally added to the console version back in July of last year.

Capcom has also stated that development on the PC version of SFXT's "ver. 2013" update is still underway, and while there is no set window for its release, "the team is very aware that the DLC for SFXT has taken longer than usual to be released and is working hard to try and reduce the amount of time you will have to wait."

We're not entirely sure why Street Fighter's 25th anniversary equates to a cross-promotional merchandising deal with Sanrio, but man are we glad that it does. Not only do we get adorable figures and plushies out of the partnership, but now Mad Catz has introduced a line of Street Fighter X Sanrio products that are both the cutest and have practical applications beyond said cuteness.

Obviously, the Street Fighter X Sanrio Fighstick Pro (above) tugs at a very, very specific part of our heart, even if it does cost $160. While not stated specifically in any of its promotional materials, we feel it's safe to assume the arcade stick uses the same Sanwa Denshi parts as the Street Fighter X Tekken Fightstick Pro models it's based on. Just, you know, very pink.

The line also includes iPhone 5 and iPad 2/3 cases in your choice of Hello Kitty Chun-Li or Hello Kitty Ryu flavors, which run for $35 and $45 respectively and can be seen in the gallery below.

Street Fighter X Tekken became an iOS game back in September. Now it's become a second, weirder iOS game. Street Fighter X Tekken Mobile Gauntlet puts you in the role of either Ryu or Kazuya, facing waves of enemies and a timer. You have to defeat them while satisfying various challenge conditions to keep the timer replenished.

The survival mode fighter is available now on the App Store for free. Check it out if you have the confidence to think you can pull off special moves on a touchscreen under a time limit.

Capcom is putting the beatdown on the Street Fighter X Tekken Mobile price-tag, with the game now on sale for 99 cents. The iOS fighter also gets additional characters, with Street Fighter grenadier Rolento and Tekken grandpa Heihachi delivered in a free update.

Capcom also announced an upcoming online tournament for the mobile game, beginning November 28 and ending December 10. Winners are being chosen based on online ranked matches played in that time, with the winner set to net 1000 in-game gold, and become in-game rich beyond their wildest in-game dreams.

Xbox 360 users will find two new games available under the Games on Demand section of Xbox Live. Capcom has announced Slant Six's shooter Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is available for download on Xbox Live alongside cross-over fighter Street Fighter X Tekken. Each will set you back $39.99 in the United States.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City wasn't in the best shape when we reviewed it, but a patch issued back in June may have alleviated some of our issues. And as far as Street Fighter X Tekken goes, that thing's been patched up, down and sideways, and Capcom is promising a "hefty update" later on this year. There's also a new mobile version of Street Fighter X Tekken on iOS now, if you're more for fighting on the bus, train or - well, everywhere we guess since you won't stop staring at your iPhone.

Street Fighter X Tekken Mobile will soon get a free update that includes Rolento as a brand new character. The update also brings a mystery character that's so secret even community manager Brelston says he doesn't yet know who it is.

"Once I have that info, I'll make sure it's on Unity ASAP," he writes on the Capcom Unity blog. How mysterious. Street Fighter X Tekken Mobile is available on iOS devices.

Street Fighter X Tekken is getting a "'hefty free" update later this year, Capcom announced. The update is expected to substantially re-balance the game, as well as provide some visual and mechanical tweaks. While every character is likely to receive some balancing tweaks, as always with these things some characters need more tweaking than others.

Capcom outlined some of the tweaks already planned for implementation, which include a range of tweaks at varying levels of impact. Characters listed so far for tweakage include Ken, Kazuya, Cammy, Julia, Bob, Abel, Xiaoyu, Balrog, Heihachi, Ibuki, and Paul.

Less hefty but just as free is the trailer above, a new one for SFxT's Vita edition. It outlines some of the new features (not tweaks) coming to that version, which is due on October 23.

I recently spent some hands-on time with a near-complete version of Street Fighter X Tekken for PS Vita, ahead of its October 23rd PSN and retail launch. And I’ve gotta say, it’s the spitting image of its PS3 bigger brother with big, bold characters and detailed backgrounds running at PS Vita’s native screen resolution. But peer underneath those pretty graphics and you’ll find a wealth of new extras that make this the definitive version of Capcom’s crossover fighter.

The game comes equipped with every DLC fighter from the PS3 version — including PlayStation exclusives Cole McGrath, Kuro, Toro, Mega Man and Pac-Man, of course — as well as alternate costumes for every character in the base roster. Another nice touch is the ability to customize your character’s costume color, then share it with friends via PS Vita’s integrated geo-social app “near.” It’s also worth noting that any DLC costumes or Gems you purchased for the PS3 version will port over to the PS Vita version at no extra cost.

PS Vita’s front touchscreen is leveraged in several ways, most notably to create virtual buttons on the screen that you can reposition, resize, and assign to multi-button inputs — useful if you have a tough time pressing several buttons at once for some of the more elaborate moves.

A new “KO Monument” feature collects mementos of combatants you’ve defeated, while a new “Burst Kumite” single-player mode puts you against an endless battle of CPU opponents, including ghosts taken from multiplayer matches — handy if you’re not near a WiFi or 3G connection. The Gallery mode offers up the expected cinematics and soundtrack listening options, but also introduces an augmented reality feature that enables you to drop SF X Tekken characters into photos you take using your PS Vita.

Of course, you’ll be able to beat down PS3 and PS Vita combatants alike over WiFi thanks to the game’s full support for Cross Play. And if you happen to own SF x Tekken for your PS3, you can also tap into Cross Controller support and control the PS3 version using your PS Vita — handy, if you’re tapping into those multi-button touchscreen shortcuts, or if you just want to look extra cool.

There are a range of small tweaks to the various arena designs — some daytime stages are now set at night, and vice-versa. And if you squint hard enough, you’ll spot some new visual Easter Eggs, such as a cameo from Tekken’s affable velociraptor Alex in the Jurassic Era Research Facility.

If you can't wait for the Vita version, Street Fighter X Tekken Mobile wants to satiate your portable fighting crossover needs. The iOS version, now available for a promotional price of $2.99, comes with customized controls, a new timed survival Gauntlet mode, and ranked online multiplayer.

The roster, though, is a bit sparse at the moment. There are ten fighters, five from Tekken and five from Street Fighter. The Tekken quintet includes Kazuya, Nina, King, Paul, and Hworang, while the Street Fighter line-up has Ryu, Chun-Li, Dhalsim, Guile, and Hugo. That's quite the drop from the other versions, but then again so's the price. The addition of further characters down the line is likely, but in what form remains to be seen.

The Vita version of Street Fighter X Tekken arrives in North America on October 23.

Do you live in Europe? Are you a confident and skilled Street Fighter player? If not, can you meet both of those conditions in short order? Then you can start qualifying for the official Masters Series Europe, a championship tournament that will find the continent's best Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition ver. 2012, Street Fighter X Tekken, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike Online Edition, and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix players.

The finals of the MSE will take place from October 31 through November 4. Winners will then face the world's best in the World Finals in December. These people probably know how to do all the special moves, so watch out.

Good news, everyone! Half of the PC versions of Street Fighter X Tekken have reached DLC parity with their console brethren. Granted, there are only two PC versions of SFxT, and the one that got the DLC first is the Games for Windows Live version, but at this point we're sure the PC fighting game community is grateful for pretty much whatever they can get.

DLC for the Steam version of SFxT was originally planned to launch simultaneously with the GFWL release, but an "unforeseen error with the Valve submission process" has caused it to be delayed into "early next week," according to an update on Capcom Unity.

If you've ever hoped in your heart of hearts that Mega Man and Pac-Man, found in the PlayStation 3 and Vita versions of Street Fighter X Tekken, would make their way to the Xbox 360 version, you might as well give up, according to producer Tomoyaki Ayano.

The characters will remain exclusive to PlayStation, Ayano confirmed to Siliconera, despite both characters being found within the code of the Xbox 360 version. In fact, those with the know-how have even managed to dig them out of the code so as to make them playable, as seen in the video above. Ayano is aware of this, and said, "Every game has data on it that is unused," elaborating that Capcom "never intended" to release the characters on Xbox.

Street Fighter X Tekken met with a troubled launch and a cool reception on PS3 and Xbox 360. Maybe it'll do better ... on iPhone? Capcom announced today that Street Fighter X Tekken is due for release on iOS this summer.

According to Capcom, the mobile version includes "brand new modes and a brand new take on the tag team mechanic." So far the only confirmed characters are Ryu, Chun-Li, Kazuya, and Nina, so in its current state that "brand new take" only includes "being able to choose fewer people for your tag team." We're confident Capcom will announce more characters before the game's release, and if SF4 on iOS is any indication, add more characters in free updates.
