#zelda Come on, be honest. Someone, somewhere along the line would find a way to screw everything up. So these make-believe movie posters are probably as good as we're ever going to get! More »

#zelda So Nintendo has, more or less, settled on some semblance of an official timeline for the Legend of Zelda series. You may have thoughts/concerns about this. You also probably don't have as many as reader Zach does, though. More »

#soulcalibur Hey, look! It's Link—who starred in the GameCube version of SoulCalibur II—making a triumphant return to the Stage of History along with that girl he's always having to rescue. The folks at NowGamer made crafted Nintendo's iconic maiden-and-warrior pair with the character creator in Namco's just-released fighting game, and then have Princess Zelda and her eternal savior Link go toe-to-toe. Zelda's based off of new character Viola and Link is patterned after the game's cover boy Patroklos. The fight's even for a while but Zelda handily kicks Link's ass. There's only one thing to say about that: "Well, excuuuuse me, Princess!" More »

Considering the onslaught of Zelda-related content we received in 2011 thanks to the franchises 25th anniversary, it's likely Nintendo will lay low on the Zelda front in 2012. We may, if we're lucky, see a global release for that gorgeous piece of Zelda lore called Hyrule Historia (the source of all the recent Zelda timeline news we've all been buzzing over). Otherwise, expect it to be a much slower year for the land of Hyrule... sort of...

#art What you're looking at is obviously not the official map of The Legend of Zelda; it's what The Legend of Zelda's map looks like to themadjuggler, one of the many contributors to Mapstalgia, a website dedicated to reproducing video game maps from memory. More »

#totalrecall In 1988, Milton Bradley released a Legend of Zelda board game. Awesomely, it wasn't a lazy conversion of an existing game like we see now, with Nintendo Monopoly or Metal Gear Risk. It was a game specifically tailored for Zelda. More »

#zelda It's 2012, which means that it's not even The Legend of Zelda's 25th Anniversary any more. But that's not stopping Nintendo from extending the tour that celebrates the music of their long-lived adventure RPG franchise. More »

#zelda Nintendo recently released an official timeline for The Legend of Zelda series, and despite providing closure for some, it provided problems for others. For the latter, here is a much more plausible fix. More »

#zelda While we were able last week to bring you the official Zelda timeline, courtesy of the series' new art book, it was only the barest of structures, with just game names in chronological order. Now that the book has been out for a few days, more comprehensive translations are available. More »

#zelda Since the series began, Nintendo has been coy on whether there's an official timeline for The Legend of Zelda. They've said there is one, locked away in Nintendo HQ, but the fact it's never been shared - and that each game seems so wildly different from the rest - has long clouded the topic. More »

#zelda The upcoming Legend of Zelda art book, Hyrule Historia, has so far only been confirmed for a Japanese release. Since that means most of you won't be looking at it at all, it won't hurt to take a peek at a few more of its pages, especially ones that show the progression of Link and Zelda from their 1986 designs to today.
