The pixelated multiplayer madness of Crawl makes it stand out as the one to watch from Steam Greenlight's newest batch of approvals. The Windows, Mac, and Linux dungeon crawler combines retro-inspired action-RPG gameplay with a frenzied multiplayer in which one player controls the Hero, and up to three others play as monsters and traps. The twist is if the Hero is slain by one of the opponents, that player gets to take the Hero's place.

Australian two-man outfit Powerhoof only put the game on Greenlight this week, but its debut trailer caught enough attention to speed it past the gates in a single day. Powerhoof says an early-access build is coming "as soon as possible," and while the prototype only features local multiplayer, the dev is exploring the possibility of online multiplayer. Crawl is due for full release in the first half of this year, and beyond that, Powerhoof's expressed interest in bringing its game to consoles.

Super Chibi Knight looks to be another to keep an eye on, and there's extra good news for father-and-daughter team behind it because their game just surpassed its Kickstarter goal. The cutesy RPG adventure is due sometime this summer.

The full list of the 50 approved games can be found on Steam Greenlight. [Image: Powerhoof]

When I first heard about Steam Family Sharing, I – like any rational, functional adult human – assumed it involved temporarily swapping families with another Steam user. Imagine my surprise (and, let’s face it, horror) when it turned out that I’d be able to share my game library with other human beings. Disgusting! Unnatural! An abomination! Steam libraries are sacred property, and also I really don’t want people trying to comprehend why I own Petz Dogz 2, Secret of the Magic Crystal, and the entire Postal series. Down that path lies only madness. But here we are. Steam Family Sharing is a thing, and it’s now available to all Steam users.

Action adventure game Dust: An Elysian Tail has chained together 1 million sales, developer Dean Dodrill announced on Twitter yesterday. Dust follows the tail tale of an amnesia-ridden warrior and his fluttering sidekick, Fidget, as they piece together his past and present identity. After clearing a million sales however, we don't think Dust's name is going to be forgotten again any time soon.

Dust originally launched on Xbox Live Arcade in August 2012, going on to reach Steam, GOG and participate in a Humble Bundle. It also won Microsoft's $40,000 Dream-Build-Play award in 2009. Just before his sales announcement, Dodrill tweeted that he was thinking of taking on "something small" before diving into his next big game, but whether that's a smaller game or something else entirely remains to be seen.
