First Capital Connect Class 319 EMU Add-On, all new content for Train Simulator 2014 is Now Available on Steam!


The modern, dual-voltage Class 319 EMU is here for Train Simulator in the familiar First Capital Connect livery as seen on Thameslink services out of London.

Typical of EMUs built in the 1980s, the Class 319 was built by BREL York between 1987 and 1990 for north-south cross-London services from Bedford to Brighton, entering revenue-generating service in 1988. The four-car units were able to run on both overhead electrification on lines north of Farringdon - and third rail pick-up, for lines south of Farringdon.

Two sub-classes were originally built and over the years, the 86 trainsets have been refurbished, creating five sub-classes in total, of which four still exist. Following privatisation of British Rail, the fleet was divided between two operators, Thameslink and Connex South Central; in 2006, First Capital Connect took over the Thameslink franchise and now operates Class 319 units on Bedford to Brighton services.

The Class 319 EMU for Train Simulator is available in First Capital Connect livery and includes a full four-car unit, comprising DTSO, MSO and TSO vehicles. Features of the model include passenger view, fully detailed cab interior, cab lighting, working cab fan, opening cab windows, two-tone horn, cab window blind, day/night running light selection, window reflections in passenger compartments, and driver vigilance device (which can be enabled and disabled).

Rockstar Games steps into the spotlight for a weekend-long Steam publisher sale, bringing price drops for L.A. Noire and the Grand Theft Auto series, among other deals.

Starting today, Steam members can pick up the DLC-bundled Complete Edition of L.A. Noire for just $7.49. The four-game (plus DLC) Grand Theft Auto Complete Pack is up for grabs at $9.99, while the entire Max Payne series (including Max Payne 3's Rockstar Pass) is priced at $9.89.

Arma 3 concludes its The East Wind campaign on March 20, when the military shooter launches its third and final episode, 'Win.' The episode brings an end to the story of NATO soldier Ben Kerry and his Omega squad, and the near-future conflict that's seen the Mediterranean swallowed up in huge, all-out war.

The episode also includes a separate mission called the Fixed-Wing Showcase. It's designed to get players acquainted with the two new aircraft being added in the update, namely the A-164 Wipeout and the To-199 Neophron.

Constant C is Now Available on Steam!

In the year 1905, Albert Einstein published the theory of special relativity, suggesting that nothing can move faster than the speed of light, what if any mortal could break that constant? Stop-motion adventure game Dominique Pamplemousse is now available on Steam. The PC and Mac game is 15 percent off ($4.24), and the Deluxe Edition version is 17 percent off ($4.97) until March 18. Dominique Pamplemousse also launched on the Humble Store today, and is priced at $4.99.

The indie adventure game's Deluxe Edition includes soundtrack and sheet music DLC, which is also half-off ($0.99) this week. Developer Deirdra Kiai confirmed the DLC's inclusion in the Deluxe Edition via Twitter, but warned that multiple reports indicate that some currencies "make it more money than separately." The developer also added the sheet music extras for Humble Store purchases.

Dominique Pamplemousse is described as an "animated detective adventure game about gender and the economy," and is also dubbed a "musical" by Kiai, complete with singing characters. One of the characters, protagonist and private investigator Dominique Pamplemousse, is asked to find a missing pop star by a CEO of a record company and winds up framed for a crime.
