Anyone who grew up playing the beloved editions of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons will remember the detailed medieval fantasy artwork that made the role-playing games creatures and characters come to life. Artist David A. Trampier was the man who drew those illustrations. An Illinois newspaper is reporting that he passed away this week at the age of 59.Read more...

Back in March at PAX East, Capcom announced the re-release of two of the greatest arcade brawlers of all time—Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom and Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara—in the Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara collection. In the West, this game will be available via download only, but Japan will be getting not only a PS3 disc-based release but also a truly epic collector’s edition for 12,000 yen ($117.91). This collector’s edition will include both games, a 200-page reprint of GAMEST magazine volume 34, two soundtrack CDs, a 12-page Capcom secret file, the arcade’s instruction card, a sticker set, two coasters, and a plastic folder—all in a special collector’s edition box. The disc-based version and collector’s edition of Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara will be released in Japan on August 22, 2013, for the PS3. It will be released in the West as DLC sometime this June for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC. Has there really never been an official Dungeons & Dragons mobile game? No? Well then I am sure it pleases Dungeons & Dragons: Arena of War to be the first. It's coming soon to Android and iOS, and I'm not telling you where from because it'll only make some of you angry. Arena of War will see players forming a party of adventurers and taking them on a perilous journey through the Forgotten Realms. There'll be leveling and combat and collecting things and world events and okay fine it's from DeNA. Quick, distract them with hottie demon rogue concept art! Like G.I. Joe: Battleground, this is another result of DeNA's partnership with Hasbro. Hasbro owns Wizards of the Coast, who turned all of that Magic: The Gathering money into the purchase of a more worthwhile game in Dungeons & Dragons. Also like the G.I. Joe title, players can pre-register for Arena of War to get a little something-something when the game launches. In closing, Dwarf!

I could not quote scripture in my late teens, but I could tell you how many gold pieces a 25 foot length of rope cost. The 2nd Edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons sourcebooks were the religious texts of my teenage years, and today they've returned in truly epic form. Just in time for Father's Day, a phrase I shall repeat several times throughout this article, Wizards of the Coast has released three premium edition hardcover reprints of the original 2nd Edition AD&D Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master Guide and Monstrous Manual. They are beautiful, and within them lies the sum total of knowledge required to survive Sunday afternoons at the home of Michael Dilson and Zanny Leach, parents of the girl I was dating, back in the early 90s. The premium editions are gorgeous, and while I still prefer the ingenious binder format for my monster index, a book hurts much more when hurled across a snack-laden table. They are $49.95 a piece, which might be a problem if they weren't coming out just in time for Father's Day. You can find a store selling them here. If you act now you can have them arrive just in time for Father's Day. In closing, just in time for Father's Day.

#dungeonsdragons The most disappointing aspect of Dungeons & Dragons Online was that the game was set in Stormreach instead of the much more popular Forgotten Realms campaign setting. Turbine rectifies that mistake with the first expansion pack for the six-year-old MMO, Menace of the Underdark. More »

Popple wanted me to make this apparently?

Anyways, this isn't actually character sheets or any of that shit. Popple should make that topic not me.

This is just if you are interested and willing to invest TIME into this shit. You would HAVE to invest time into it.
