Nutty Fluffies is coming to iPhones iPads on November 1, Ubisoft announced today. The RedLynx iOS game mixes the Trials developer's trademark physics-based beatings with a cute assortment of fairground toys. The two come together to form a mixture of cuddliness, challenge, and rollercoaster-based carnage. And maybe a nutritious breakfast treat.

Ubisoft revealed the game last month, and we took the opportunity to get a more in-depth look back then. We also have the above teaser trailer, which is fairly nutty, and the below gallery of screenshots, all of which are satisfactorily fluffy.

"I said this at the GDC talk in Germany a few months back and I don’t know why people were weird about it but it’s just about quality: if it’s really good it will come out as often as we can make but if it’s crap, then it’s a problem.

There’s actually more new stuff than stuff brought forward from the previous games. We took core concepts of the assassin, open world, combat and navigation but everything else is new and to get that opportunity is super-rare: we get to do pretty much whatever we want and have a budget, which is amazing.

The mission structure is a new, too and that makes a big difference. While you always know where your main mission is, every other mission can be played concurrently, so your log book accumulates all of the other side activities that you can do.

There’s a bigger difference between this one and Assassin’s Creed 2 than there was between AC2 and AC1. We’ve been working on this for around 3 years, after AC2 we started working on AC3 and other studios did the other sequels. So, they went in one direction and we went in another.” - Ubisoft’s Alex Hutchinson

Far Cry 3 is a bit like Survivor, but with a lot more guns and maybe a few more crazy people. This Hoyt guy is yet another resourceful maniac lurking in the tropical nightmare. Far Cry 3, that is.

It was a dark and stormy evening when I recently spoke with GOG‘s Trevor Longino. We met in a Japanese hotel in San Francisco, him proudly carrying some manner of whooping cough from Poland, and me trying to keep pace with this year’s Canadian model (it’s a long story). It was, in other words, quite a momentous meeting of virus cultures – not to mention fever-addled minds. But really, this does seem to be quite a pivotal moment for the storefront formerly known as Good Old Games. The industry’s slowly but surely conforming to its philosophies, with numerous indie games embracing nostalgia wholeheartedly and DRM’s grip loosening on even the likes of big, bad Ubisoft. So where exactly does that leave GOG? Longino and I tackled that topic and many more – including Steam Greenlight and GOG’s apparent flip-flop on steep discounts being bad for the industry.

Assassin's Creed 3 launches next week, and that can only mean one thing. That's right, it's launch trailer time, complete with appropriately hip music and plenty of explosions.

In other Assassin's Creed 3 news, remember the exclusive content promised for the PS3 version? Well, here it is. The four exclusive missions tell the story of Benedict Arnold. We're not sure what it is, but we really don't trust this guy. Check out a new trailer after the break.

#assassinscreed When was the last time you heard of an American with the name Benedict? Almost never happens, right? That's because that word is associated with a man who betrayed colonial forces in the Revolutionary War, earning Benedict Arnold a level of scorn and infamy that's practically eternal. Well, in the PS3 exclusive missions for Assassin's Creed III, it sure looks like you might get to kill him. More »

Normally, if you asked for 14 solid minutes of Far Cry 3 gameplay footage, complete with narration from the developers, we'd say no way, mister. Just this once, however, we'll let it slide. Don't tell your mother.

The bonus pack features four new missions, one hour of additional gameplay, and an explosive-hurling macaque called Coco. The Michael Mando bobblehead at the end? Only with the Europe-exclusive Insane Edition, we're afraid. Bobble on, Mando. Bobble on.

Ubisoft announced this morning that "Gangnam Style" will be available as downloadable content for Just Dance 4 this November. The song, which has become an international phenomenon, has nearly 500 million views on YouTube.

On that note, Psy is quoted as saying, "Gangnam Style and Just Dance 4, I can't wait to see all the YouTube videos." Spoiler: It's going to be a lot of people doing the horse dance.

One of the words that doesn't show up in Ubisoft's announcement is "exclusive." We've reached out to Harmonix to find out if it's also working on some Gangnam Style for Dance Central 3.

Update: We checked with Ubisoft to see if the DLC included the moves from the famous music video or simply had new choreography.

"The chorus of the song has the precise moves from Gangnam Style," a Ubisoft spokesperson informed Joystiq. "The verses highlight some of the video's moves but also include [Just Dance 4] moves."

#assassinscreed There's a chance that some of the people picking up Assassin's Creed III in a few weeks won't have played the previous entries in Ubisoft's hit historical action series. They won't know about the Altair or the Templars or the Animus. Well, this trailer will bring them up speed in dramatic fashion. It's also narrated by someone very close to the series' modern-day protagonist Desmond Miles. This video—which went live too soon, was region-restricted, reuploaded and posted to NeoGAF—might even be an in-game intro. Strangely, ACIII's hero Connor is nowhere to be seen. Odd bit of business, that. More »

Ubisoft filed a $1 million lawsuit yesterday against BEP Music LLC, a company which owns the Black Eyed Peas trademark, for neglecting to recognize the publisher's planned iOS version of The Black Eyed Peas Experience. Following the Wii and Xbox 360 versions released last year, Ubisoft claims BEP breached the companies' contract regards an iOS version. According to Ubisoft, the contract states the band agreed to approve or disapprove the iOS version within 10 business days of a request. Ubisoft says BEP music failed to acknowledge requests for approval, despite repeated attempts.

Ubisoft claims the company's spent $233,000 developing the iOS game, and that figure combined with loss of profits over a game that cannot be released without the Black Eyed Peas trademark amounts to a total of $1 million in damages. While Ubisoft didn't name the company or the game in question in its complaint, as Player Attack notes BEP Music only own the one trademark. All in all, I Gotta Feeling the French publisher isn't about to Shut Up about this anytime soon.

#farcry When I played Far Cry 3 last week, I was impressed by a lot of things—but chief among them was the audacity of the in-game drug sequences. Not many games have your character straight-up take hallucinogens, but why the heck not? As games like Alan Wake and Batman: Arkham Asylum demonstrated, it's possible to creatively re-use in-game assets to build surreal, fascinating dreamscapes. More »

Ubisoft has released the "Khyber Strike" DLC pack for its Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, adding a 10 level cap increase, three new multiplayer maps (Switchback, Palace, and Transit), and a new Guerilla mode map named Village to the proceedings. There's also a brand new multiplayer mode named Takeover, which combines Team Deathmatch and Domination-style modes in a mad grab for points via territory and team kills.

You can see a preview of the expansion and its content in the video above. The DLC is available right now for 800 points on the Xbox Live Arcade, or $9.99 on the PlayStation Network.
