The Humble Jumbo Bundle is now packed with three extra games, Sanctum: Collection, Orcs Must Die! GOTY and Cities in Motion 2. These join Orcs Must Die! 2: Complete Pack, Garry's Mod and Serious Sam 3: BFE behind the "pay more than the average" curtain. Games behind the "pay whatever you want" curtain are Natural Selection 2, Sanctum 2 and Magicka plus two of its DLC packs.

All games come with Steam keys. The Humble Jumbo Bundle has already raised more than $2 million benefiting a mix of the developers, Humble itself and two charities, Child's Play and Watsi. The sale is on through December 17.

Yeah, people mostly jump on Humble Bundles because they get a ton of great games for insanely cheap prices. But I like to think that the fact the bundles donate money to charity also plays a part in their success, giving gamers the chance to see their money go somewhere useful, instead of simply drifting down the river as returns for shareholders.Read more...

Are you tired of sales? Did Black Friday and Cyborg Monday beat your wallet to a penniless pulp? Well, TOO BAD. Games will continue going on sale from now until the end of time, and somewhere in between, you will cast off your mortal coil poor and probably alone. I apologize. That was too much. Sales just get me super amped up about mortality, is all. Anyway, the Humble Jumbo Bundle is composed of six games and tons of DLC. Standouts include Natural Selection 2, Sanctum 2, and Orcs Must Die! 2. Details below.

Launching your own sale during the same period as Valve is kind of like showing off your sparkly new canoe at a rocket-yacht convention. You will inevitably be overshadowed. But this is the Grand Season of Sales, so everybody and their rocket-yacht’s on-board AI programmed to speak just like Christopher Walken is doing it. That includes Humble Bundle, whose newly launched storefront has put a treasure trove of indies up for respectably slashed prices. Standouts include Kentucky Route Zero, Gone Home, the Crusader Kings II Collection, and Anodyne.

The Humble Mobile Bundle 3, which made its debut last week - headlined by Vlambeer's Ridiculous Fishing - has now added three new games, available to those who have contributed more than the average pay-what-you-want price.

Driving simulator Desert Bus, about a bus on its way from Arizona to Las Vegas, is perhaps the most well-known of the trio. You may have heard of it from its annual fundraising campaign called Desert Bus for Hope, which recently cleared over $520,000 for Child's Play - an organization that coordinates donation of toys, games and consoles to sick children in hospitals across the country.

Alongside the game about driving a bus for hours is minimalist puzzle game and former iOS-only success Hundreds, which tasks players with tapping circles to increase their size and numerical value, with the goal being to accumulate a total of 100 on-screen points. The third game on offer is Spider: The Secret of Bryce Manor - an action-adventure platformer. A sequel, titled Spider: Rite of the Shrouded Moon, is due in the spring.

There are currently just over six days left on the Humble Mobile Bundle 3 clock.

In case periodic Humble Bundle releases and weekly sales aren't enough to sate your appetite for wildly cheap games that directly benefit charity, the people behind the Bundle have now launch the Humble Store.

The video above serves as a mute demonstration of how the Humble Store works, but anyone familiar with Steam or Good Old Games should feel right at home. The virtual retailer offers a number of games (largely independent titles) at sizable discounts, only unlike those aforementioned digital distribution services, the money earned by the Humble Store will be partially earmarked for charity: 75 percent of your purchase goes to the game's creators, 15 percent goes toward administrative fees, and the remaining 10 percent goes to charity.

The game selection on the Humble Store is a bit scant at the moment, but it's a quality over quantity situation. You'll find games available on Windows, Linux and Mac, and standout releases such as Don't Starve, Gunpoint and Rogue Legacy - none of which are currently priced higher than $7.50.

If you prefer the old way of doing things, you're in luck: Despite the Humble Store's debut, the Humble Bundle will continue to appear on a regular basis. Joining the Humble Bundle mailing list will now inform you both about upcoming Bundles as well as new deals on the Humble Store, which are said to change on a daily basis.

The Humble Bundle has long been the best value in gaming, and things are about to get even less humble with the debut of the new Humble storefront. Humble has been letting indies use their checkout system for a while now, so it's no surprise that they're formalizing the whole thing into a browsable experience. We expect prices here to be in line with competing sales from Steam, but Humble takes a smaller cut, and gives 10% to charity.Read more...

Well, this all feels a bit inevitable, doesn’t it? After oodles, kaboodles, and toaster strudels of bundles – not to mention “store” functionality utilized by many indie developers – Humble Bundle has finally launched a full-blown storefront, ala Steam or GOG. It’s not pay-what-you want, but ten percent of every sale goes straight to charity. Also, excellent deals are the order of the day, with the likes of Don’t Starve, Gunpoint, Natural Selection II, Prison Architect, Euro Truck Sim 2, and more undergoing ritualistic price tag severings in celebration.

Wonderfully predictable Humble Bundle has added three new games to the Humble Bundle with Android 7: Anomaly Korea from 11-Bit Studios, Broken Sword: Director's Cut from Revolution Software and Organ Trail: Director's Cut from The Men Who Wear Many Hats. Plus, this round adds Europe DLC for Ticket to Ride, a game already included in the Humble Bundle. Get these newbies by paying more than the average price.

Humble Bundle with Android 7 includes Incredipede, Anodyne, Greed Corp and Ticket to Ride (plus USA 1910 DLC) for whatever price you want, with Worms Reloaded and The Bard's Tale thrown in by paying more than the average. All games are available on PC, Mac, Linux and Android, and paying more than $1 grabs Steam keys as well.

Whatever you decide to pay, it can all go to a good cause, or to the developers themselves, or to Humble Bundle.

Humble Mobile Bundle 2 has entered its final week, and will remain available through October 9.

The Humble Indie Bundle 9 has, as you would have expected, updated. And I feel safe in saying it’s now likely the best bundle there’s ever been. Before you could pick up Trine 2, Mark Of The Ninja Eets Munchies Beta, Brutal Legend, FTL and FEZ for just a few coins. It was already pretty astonishing. A week in, and over half a million sales later, it’s now added four new games, Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken, A Virus Named TOM, Bastion, and LIMBO. Good heavens.

More than 2.1 million bundles sold, over $10.5 million for charities. Those are the staggering statistics the EA-sponsored Humble Origin Bundle signed off on this week, easily becoming the most successful Humble Bundle with more than double of the prior best-seller.

The bundle allowed customers to purchase a collection of EA games on PC, including blockbusters like Dead Space 3, Burnout Paradise, Mirror's Edge, Battlefield 3, and several others at a pay-what-you-want price. The two-week campaign raised an amazing eight figures in funding for various charities, including The American Red Cross, The San Francisco Aids Foundation, and The Human Rights Campaign among others. Caps doffed all round, we feel.

The sixth Humble Bundle with Android just added three more reasons to throw down some cash: McPixel, Waking Mars and NightSky HD. All three games are available for PC, Mac, Linux and Android devices.

The new games join Frozen Synapse and Broken Sword: Director's Cut behind the "more than the average" paywall (the average is currently below $5). Meanwhile, Aquaria, Fractal, Organ Trail: Director's Cut, Stealth Bastard Deluxe and Pulse are all available for any price you desire. McPixel, Waking Mars and NightSky HD come with their soundtracks, just as the other games do.

Those who have already purchased a bundle for at least the average can access these new games from their Humble Bundle download pages. The complete bundle is now valued at $120, and as always customers can dole out their money among charities (Child's Play and the EFF), the developers or Humble Bundle itself. The Humble Bundle program has raised more than $13.7 million for charity to date.

Humble Android Bundle 6 is live for seven more days.

Humble Bundle 6 lasts for two weeks and includes PC, Mac, Linux and Android versions of five games for the low, low price of "anything": Aquaria, Fractal, Organ Trail: Director's Cut, Stealth Bastard Deluxe and Pulse. Pulse is the outlier, available for Android only.

Pay more than the average and snag Frozen Synapse and Broken Sword: Director's Cut. Frozen Synapse is in late beta on Android and has some known issues, and it's best played on tablets, the developer notes. All games come with their respective soundtracks, too.

Currently the Humble Android Bundle's average is below $5, so act fast and get seven games for less than one single-digit piece of American money. Or, knowing that you can allocate your money among charity, the developers and Humble itself, you can pay the equivalent of a double-digit piece of money. Or triple-digit. All of these games would cost $95 separately, and it's safe to expect more additions before the sale ends in two weeks. Because that's how Humble Bundles roll.

After three main series entries and countless spin-offs, it’s a wonder that Serious Sam hasn’t shot all the things yet. I feel kind of bad for him, honestly. He works so hard, but there’s always something else to blast into entrail soup with a cannon ball gun. Ah, the action hero’s burden. ‘Tis truly a heartbreaking thing. So, right then, Serious Sam 4. It’s real! I can confirm that it has at least two guns in it! Also, Sam now looks like the granite-chiseled child of Tom Cruise and Conviction-era Sam Fisher before he got all mean and torture-y. Oh, and most importantly, he needs your help. The latest Humble Weekly Sale is helping fund this radical (but probably not actually very radical at all) reinvention, so you are cordially invited to spend money.

The Humble Double Fine Bundle has crammed in eight more games today, a collection of Double Fine Amnesia Fortnight prototypes - the results of annual internal gamejams at Double Fine. All eight games are Windows PC only, available to all who plunk down more than the average $8.15 (at time of this writing) for the Humble Double Fine Bundle.

The Amnesia Fortnight prototypes include: Autonomous, a first-person sandbox game set in the future; Spacebase DF-9, a top-down simulation where you construct and maintain a space station; Black Lake, an adventure game set in a dark forest; The White Birch is a 3D puzzle-platformer set in a massive tower; Brazen is a co-op action game where four players team up to take on monsters; and Hack-n-Slash is a Legend of Zelda-inspired 2D action-adventure game.

Happy Night, a prototype from 2007 and the precursor to Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster, is also here, as is 2009 prototype Costume Quest, which eventually became, well, Costume Quest. Finally, there's the 2 Player Productions' documentary compiled during Double Fine's Amnesia Fortnight event in 2012.

The Humble Double Fine Bundle was introduced last week, as an initial collection of the studio's most recent works: Psychonauts, Stacking, Costume Quest, Brutal Legend and a pre-order for Broken Age, the studio's Kickstarter-funded adventure game. The Humble Double Fine Bundle comes to a close in six days.

The folks at Humble Bundle have teamed up with Tim Schafer's Double Fine Productions to launch a Double Fine-themed bundle, where you can pay what you want and get DRM-free cross-platform copies of Costume Quest, Psychonauts, Stacking, and if you hit the right price, Brütal Legend and a preorder of Broken Age. You can pay whatever you like for those first three games, though you'll have to pay more than the average (currently $7.03) to unlock Brütal Legend, and pay $35 to unlock a preorder for Broken Age. That second game is the product of Double Fine's record-busting Kickstarter drive, and it looks pretty keen. So, yes, this is basically a preorder shindig, but if you don't like preorders, you can skip Broken Age and still get some great Double Fine games for really cheap. Oh, and if you drop $70, you'll get a t-shirt, too. In case you needed a t-shirt!

The latest Humble Bundle is all about Double Fine and it includes a pre-order for Broken Age, the game formerly known as Double Fine Adventure on Kickstarter. To secure a pre-order for Broken Age on Steam (PC, Mac and Linux), pay $35 or more.

This price will easily net buyers the "pay what you want" games - Costume Quest, Psychonauts and Stacking - and at the moment grabs the "pay more than the average" game, Brutal Legend. Since Double Fine saw such success with tiered payments in the past, there's one more option: Pay $70 or more to get all those games and a Double Fine Bundle t-shirt in black or cream.

As always, Humble Bundle payments can be allotted among Humble Bundle itself, Double Fine, and charities Child's Play and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. The Humble Double Fine bundle will be available for two weeks, with the clock starting today, May 7.

Developer Hitbox Studios has cracked open the financial books on Dustforce, revealing just how much the indie release made. After the game's launch in January of 2012 and some major sales with Steam and the Humble Bundle, Dustforce has earned a total of $668,490 in revenue.

That may sound profitable, but that's before taxes, Valve's take, and other fees are removed, which brings the total down to $489,404. Removing various software and hardware costs, accounting fees, and other expenses lowers it even further to $295,000, says Hitbox. In the end, for every $10 copy of the game sold, Hitbox earned $4.41 - which the studio's (now four) developers must split.

Dustforce began with a $0 budget, as a game prototype made with GameMaker. After an IndiePub competition win, Hitbox was able to budget the $100,000 prize for the game's development, which it says was enough to support the staff of three for about a year and a half.

Hitbox's Terence Lee says the release was ultimately worth it. The game's success and "the pleasure of making Dustforce was worth far more than the opportunity cost of working somewhere else." He calls the process a "fantastic foundation for us as a studio," providing experience and funds for work on Hitbox's next title, an FPS called Spire.
