Telltale Games is bringing three of its story-driven adventures to Amazon Fire TV starting with the first season of The Walking Dead, which launched today with the media streaming device. The second season, in addition to The Wolf Among Us and the developer's Game of Thrones-based adventure, will arrive on Fire TV later this year, Telltale confirmed with Joystiq and Engadget.

Amazon launched the $99 game and video streaming machine today, announcing it alongside a $40 game pad (though developers have the option to support other Bluetooth controllers).

Telltale unveiled its own Game of Thrones adaptation in December before launching the second episode of The Wolf Among Us in February. The developer offered a new trailer for the third episode of the game today, though no release date was given for it. [Image: Telltale Games]

It’s good to see Clementine again, even if I’m not particularly keen on the new company she’s keeping. I’ve just finished playing the first two episodes of The Walking Dead season two and I’m feeling a mixture of grief, frustration and relief. The latter is due to the strength of the second episode in particular. After a wobbly first episode, the transition to Clementine’s time is showing a great deal of care and craft. Here’s wot I think.

"A House Divided," the second episode in Telltale Games' second season of The Walking Dead, hits iOS devices today, following up on its recent launch via Steam and for console digital platforms.

The latest episode in Telltale's post-apocalyptic adventure game series finds the young Clementine and friends in the midst of a conflict between rival factions of survivors. Our review calls it "one of the most action-packed episodes in the Walking Dead franchise," and its events promise an "acute emotional impact" for longtime fans.

"A House Divided" is priced at $4.99.

To celebrate today's release of its second episode, Steam's Midweek Madness Sale has reduced the price of The Walking Dead season two by 33 percent.

As of this morning, those visiting Steam can pick up season two of The Walking Dead for $16.74. That price grants access to the two episodes that have already launched and the three slated for release later this year. While we can't speak to the quality of those sections we've yet to play, the first two episodes have been quite good. Episode one earned 4.5 of 5 stars in our review, while episode two picked up 4 of 5 stars.

Being a Steam sale, this promotion only applies to the PC and Mac incarnations of The Walking Dead season two. Those hoping to get in on the deal should hurry: That $16.74 price point is only available until March 7 at 10AM PT. [Image: Telltale Games]

Clementine is holed up with two factions of angry, desperate survivors. One group cowers on the floor, while the second flashes their guns and makes an example of a rival survivor with two quick, non-lethal snaps. Clementine watches the torment from a raised landing, where she's hiding with two allies who argue about their next move. They reach an impasse and turn to Clementine for advice.

Let's get that straight: Two adults, who have weathered the zombie epidemic for more than a year, pause in their argument about a serious, life-or-death situation to take tips from the 11-year-old girl. An 11-year-old-girl that they would have easily shot two weeks ago. She still has pigtails.

She also has good advice. "A House Divided," the second episode of The Walking Dead's second season, presents Clementine as a complete, independent character for the first time. Though she is surrounded by people - mostly adults - she doesn't answer to any of them, and she doesn't depend on any one person for survival. She can hold her own and she has demonstrated her skills to her new companions. They trust her, and she trusts herself.

TOO MANY TWOS IN THAT HEADLINE. 2 Episode 2 Furious. Live Free (Walking) Die Epi2odic. I don’t know anymore. I’m having a strange day. But anyway, The Walking Dead Season Two Episode Two has been trailerfied, and it’s looking as brooding and dramatic as ever. I see potential for plot twists, revelations, and the very real possibility that the walkingest dead of all… is man. I am interested to see where this one goes, especially given that it seems to be addressing some of my concerns after season two’s slightly lukewarm first episode. Watch below, but beware of minor spoilers.

We know a lot of you folks have been wondering what’s next for Clementine in The Walking Dead: Season Two… and we’re ready to share! Check out this all-new Episode 2 trailer for a peek at some of the tough situations ‘A House Divided’ has coming up.

There’s some real star talent in this episode. Besides BAFTA-nominated Melissa Hutchison (voice of Clementine), we have Scott Porter of ‘Friday Night Lights’ and ‘Hart of Dixie’ fame as Luke, and Michael Madsen from ‘Reservoir Dogs’ (and many other things) as the mysterious Carver.

So who is Carver, and what does he want? What will the group find in the mountains? You won’t have to wait long to find out now – Episode 2 is set to release for PlayStation 3 in North America on Tuesday, March 4th (that’s next week)!

We’re also pleased to say that the PS Vita version of The Walking Dead: Season Two is tracking for release towards the end of March. Episode 1 and Episode 2 will both be available at launch, along with a Season Pass option.

Team Joystiq is barging into 2014 with a celebration of last year's best games. Keep reading throughout the week to see our assembly of ingenious indies and triple-A triumphs. Skulls of the Shogun

I have a pre-existing penchant for human skulls as decoration, so maybe that's why Skulls of the Shogun still resonates so deeply with me, despite it launching way back at the beginning of the year - before GDC, before E3, before Gamescom, before the reveals and launches of two next-gen consoles, before the holiday madness. Through all of that, Skulls of the Shogun remains a purely joyful, fun strategy game, complete with morbid humor, accessible mechanics and a lovely Saturday-morning cartoon style. Developer 17-Bit has a precise hand, and the team's attention to detail and flow makes Skulls of the Shogun sing across platforms: Xbox 360, Windows 8, Windows Phone, Steam and iOS.

Skulls of the Shogun started the year off in the right way for me, so it's fitting to give it another nod at the end of 2013. Cheers, skull-chewers.

The Walking Dead isn't a roller coaster of emotions; it's a seesaw. On one end sits the golden halo of the human spirit, strengthened by trust, dignity and love. On the other end slumps the shadow of death, mutilation and irrational violence. The kind of emotions that make someone lock an injured, ailing little girl in a shed in the middle of a storm, offset by the compulsion to give her a decent meal and tuck her into bed. Perched in the middle of this seesaw is Clementine.

She is the balance, representing everything worth fighting for, worth decapitating for. Worth dying for. Clementine is the humanity in all of us - but in the premiere of season two of The Walking Dead, when we take direct control of Clementine, she's also humanity's inherent, grey-tinted truth. We're not all good. We may not even be mostly good.

The apex of a seesaw is a precarious place. One hard twitch on either lever could tip Clementine to salvation or destruction, compassion or killing, life or death. After playing episode one, All That Remains, I don't know whether Clementine is soaring up or falling down.

It’s finally time. The Walking Dead season one had its share of ups and downs, but its tale of broken hearts and busted skulls turned eyeballs into waterfalls and put Telltale on the map. Can season two live up to the incredibly high expectations surrounding it? Could lessons learned on the first season and new “shows” like The Wolf Among Us allow it to surpass all that’s come before? Or is this promising undead upstart already out of juice? Here’s wot I think of The Walking Dead Season Two Episode One: All That Remains. Warning: big spoilers for season one ahead.

The second season of Telltale's The Walking Dead kicks off on Xbox 360 next week and, based on this premiere trailer, it looks like it's going to be a heart-wrenching episode full of death and despair. Clementine looks like she won't be all alone throughout the entire episode as players once again struggle with keeping her safe.

The first episode of the second season, All That Remains, will be available on the Xbox Games Store on December 18 for $5. A season pass will also be available alongside the first episode for $15. Telltale has not announced a launch date for other platforms, though the Steam listing for the game says All That Remains will be available on PC and Mac on December 17.

It’s been an extremely busy — and an even more exciting — month so far for Telltale Games, and we’re gearing up for our biggest year ever in 2014! In case you haven’t heard, this weekend we announced two new series premiering next year, including Tales from the Borderlands: A Telltale Games Series, an all-new story driven episodic series in collaboration with Gearbox Software and 2K Games; and an all-new episodic series in partnership with HBO, Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series, which will premiere later next year as our currently running series conclude.

This month we’re preparing for the premiere of The Walking Dead Season Two! We’re still waiting on some final confirmations from everyone involved, but as of this morning, we can only tell you that the premiere will be hitting North America very soon on PS3. We’ll share the official premiere date in the near future, including our release plans for our European fans and PS Vita, which are also coming along very quickly!

After that, we’ll have an update on the release for the upcoming second episode of The Wolf Among Us, which will be huffing, puffing, and blowing your house down when you least expect it. Until then, watch the new trailer starring The Walking Dead Season Two’s protagonist Clementine, and let us know what you think in the comments below!

Sweet, darling Clementine. She wasn't the main protagonist in season one of Telltale's The Walking Dead, but she stole the show for many players - including us. Season one wasn't about staying alive to fight another day or to wrack up the most zombie murders; it was about keeping Clementine safe and helping her grow into a strong person, even if that meant seeing disappointment in her cel-shaded eyes.

In All That Remains, the first episode of season two, protecting Clementine is still important, but there's a twist: She's the main, playable protagonist. Her life is at the mercy of your fingertips. All That Remains director Dennis Lenart tells Joystiq that this is a unique, emotionally charged position for players.

"We're all coming in still being really protective of her, and now that the controller is in your hands, there's a weird thing where half of you is playing as her, and then half of you is also still kind of protective of her. It's a really interesting thing. It's so hard usually to get people to really care about the characters they're controlling, as far as getting them injured or killed, because you can just go to the restart screen. So far it's been really cool - people feel that she's in genuine danger and feel very protective over her. It's still kind of a similar thing [to season one], except now the controller is directly in your hands, protecting her," he says.
