Season 2 of The Walking Dead premieres December 18 on Xbox 360, according to an update posted by Xbox spokesmajor Larry Hyrb today. That means Episode 1: All That Remains will be available on the Xbox Games Store next week, priced at $5. A season pass is due on the same date, priced $15, likely comprising access to the next four episodes.

Developer Telltale Games hasn't confirmed any release dates for the opening episode, but its Steam listing notes it as available on December 17. The zombified adventure is due on PC, Mac, iOS, and "home consoles" this month, and will bite into Ouya at some point too.

Hyrb's post also notes there'll be a Walking Dead sale on the Xbox Games Store around release time, in case anyone needs to catch up on Season 1. Episodes 2-5 of the opening season will be discounted by 66 percent between the 17th and 23rd of this month.

YOU GUYS, YOU GUYS, you’re not going to believe this: there are already wolves among us. Right now. They’re called “dogs,” and we bred them into blind subservience over the course of a few generations. Many of them, however, are capable of reducing humans to blubbering piles of incoherent baby babble with a simple wag of the tail or awkward pawing attempt at a handshake. Who, in this equation, is really man, and who is beast? It’s a chilling thou– oh man look at this puppy! Was I talking about something? Oh hm, episode two of Telltale’s Fables series, The Wolf Among Us, won’t be out until sometime early next year. Bummer.

If you haven’t finished Telltale’s wildly acclaimed tragedy’n'conversation sim The Walking Dead but do want to know when season two will be released, I’ll tell you right now. December 17th! That’s when you can buy the season pass and play episode 1, for about 18 quid.

If you have finished it and want to know a plot synopsis too, I’ll tell you below, hopefully safe from the innocent, spoiler-averse eyes of the non-finishers.(more…)

Telltale Games took to Twitter to tease the return of a familiar face in the opening episode of The Walking Dead's second season. The episode, titled "All That Remains," is expected to launch this month.

Telltale already broke the news in July that Clementine, the leading lady of the adventure game's first season, would be a part of the second season in some capacity. As for the other character, we've placed the original screen Telltale tweeted after the break to account for those that consider it just a little too much of a spoiler. No, the image above does not indicate that Kitten McFluffykins is returning in All That Remains, but that would be pretty unexpected, wouldn't it?

Were you aware that there had been a The Walking Dead All Out Game Jam? 120 teams were, competing in the official event over two weeks, back in September/October. Ten finalists have recently been picked, with the finalist chosen by TWD creator Robert Kirkman on the 5th December. Those finalists have gained some decent loot, not least a full Unity Pro license, and a free Greenlight application. So yes, you can expect to see another ten zombie games vying for your attention on there. Blame memetics.

Amongst those finalists were Beavl, with The Narrow Path, that takes an approach that immediately grabs my attention. Yes, you’re killing zombies. But you’re also killing the humans too. And you’re in a minivan.

Having sold more than 21 million episodes, Telltale Games' phenomenal adaptation of Robert Kirkman's graphic novel The Walking Dead has inevitably been collected in a Game of the Year Edition.

Available now for $30 on either Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC or Mac platforms, the Walking Dead: GOTY includes all five episodes released during Season One of The Walking Dead as well as the DLC episode 400 Days. Inside the package players will also find "access to behind-the-scenes content and the emotionally-charged score from our long-time friend and composer Jared Emerson-Johnson," according to Telltale CEO and co-founder Dan Connors.

Those planning to buy the PC or Mac versions of The Walking Dead: GOTY should know that you can earn a 10-percent discount on the game by pre-purchasing Season Two of The Walking Dead. Today's announcement offers no new information on those upcoming episodes of the series, but we can rest assured that Telltale still plans to launch Season Two "later this year."

The Walking Dead rise again soon, after Telltale Games confirmed the second season of its graphic adventure is due on PC, Mac, iOS, and "home consoles" later this year. A new teaser name-checks the PS3 and Xbox 360, but Telltale said additional platforms are to be announced at a later date; the dev previously said the second season is coming to Ouya.

Spolier Central: Those of us who guided a certain lady to the end of season one won't just be reunited with the cherubic heroine. Clem's story will continue with us playing as her for the first time, with the young child apparently left to her lonesome following the dramatic conclusion to the first season. We'd say she looks, ooh, around 400 Days older.

If you skipped that bit, open your eyes again (or however that works). So, the second season consists of five episodes once more, with the final episode due some time next year. A season pass for the PC and Mac versions is up for pre-order on Steam and Telltale's store as of today, granting access to all five episodes at a 10 percent discount of $22.50. Our rudimentary grasp of maths tells us that each episode is priced $5 regularly.

And if this really is your first stumble upon The Walking Dead game, we heartily advise you go back and check out the first season. Telltale's adaptation of Robert Kirkman's comic book series took third place in our Top Ten of 2012 vote, its gut-wrenchingly tough decisions breaking our hearts sweetly, oh so sweetly.

Whether or not to pick up a GOTY version and relive all those horrors again; that may be the next heart-wrenching choice for The Walking Dead fans to make, going by a recent ESRB rating. The listing notes a Game of the Year Edition that's apparently headed for Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and Mac. We've reached out to Telltale for comment.

The Walking Dead was one of our favorites from last year, placing third in our Top Ten list after winning and subsequently breaking our hearts. The zombified adventure continued via the 400 Days DLC this summer, and we'd expect that to be included in a GOTY version.

As for the second season, Telltale is teasing more news on that later this month. Last we heard, the next batch of difficult decisions is due sometime this fall.

It’s become a bit of a cliché to say that living people—and not the shambling undead—are the most interesting thing about zombie fiction. And while that’s true in The Walking Dead, what makes the series stand apart is how it makes its characters and readers relive human history. Now, the latest issue of the hit horror series puts the future of humanity at stake. But, whatever happens, it sure seems like we’re *crag*ed. There's no word on when The Walking Dead's second season begins, but when it does Telltale promises it will involve Clementine and Kenny in some fashion. The Walking Dead season one launched on Vita in August, complete with the 400 Days DLC. As far as add-on content goes, 400 Days is an extra-emotional festival of painful interpersonal interaction. Which is to say, we enjoyed it.

We’ve just returned today from an incredible weekend at Comic-Con, and if there’s one thing we’re sure of after our time in San Diego, it’s that fans of The Walking Dead are the best in the world! On Saturday afternoon, ‘Walking Fans’ lined up for hours to see a special panel we held with Telltale co-founders Dan Connors and Kevin Bruner, PlayStation’s Don Mesa, and The Walking Dead creator himself, Robert Kirkman!

Watch the video of the panel above, and if you haven’t played The Walking Dead Season One yet, there’s just one spoiler-free tidbit you should know. All five episodes of The Walking Dead Season One, including The Walking Dead: 400 Days DLC episode will be coming to PS Vita on August 20th. Even more good news? Fans can also expect to see Season Two of the series hit PS Vita as well later this year! All of the stress and heartbreak of the undead saga will be at your thumbs or your fingertips wherever you are. But did we spill any details on Season Two? Perhaps we did… read on for more!

The next bit of information might be considered a spoiler if you’ve not played Season One, so fair warning to stop now! Still reading? Good! Fans in attendance were lined up during the panel to ask a marathon of questions for the team, managing to get a few more bits out of our storytellers on stage. The biggest question on everyone’s minds, including from a fan cos-playing as a certain eight-year old girl wearing a baseball cap, was the question of whether we’d ever see Clementine again. While details were scarce, our very own Dan Connors himself was able to confirm for the first time that Clementine will definitely be a part of Season Two… but wasn’t able to say much more than that.

Thanks again to all of the fans who showed up in person, and if you weren’t able to make it, check out the video above and let us know what you think in the comments about the upcoming PS Vita release and the premiere of Season Two this fall! Oh! And before I forget, there is one more Banang-flavored piece of juicy goodness to confirm for Trophy hunters out there – even if you’ve already played through Season One on PS3, you can earn an additional set of Trophies for playing the series on PS Vita as well, so get ready to re-live those decisions that range from horrible to horrifying all over again. See you in Savannah, everyone!

Comic-Con has probably created lots of news but, until this morning, the only information that had lodged in my brain was the announcement of some sort of Superman vs Batman film. I haven’t seen Man of Steel because my brain tries to run away from Zack Snyder films, leaving it shuddering and heaving against the back of my skull if one of those films happens to be in front of me. Actually, I quite liked his Dawn of the Dead and didn’t suffer any nosebleeds at all when I saw it. Forget about me being snidey about Snyder though – more news from Comic-Con! This time about The Walking Dead Season Two. If you don’t want any spoilers at all, don’t look below.

It’s opening day at Comic-Con 2013 in San Diego, and we want to give you a glimpse of what we’ll be talking about at PlayStation’s upcoming panel: Behind the Scenes with Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead Game Series.

In our new video, the gang at Telltale Games provide an inside look at the game’s development process, their reaction to its myriad Game of the Year wins, the launch of 400 Days and some tidbits about The Walking Dead on PS Vita — highlighted by the upcoming launch of a dedicated PS Vita bundle.

If you’re attending Comic-Con in San Diego, be sure to drop byroom 23ABC on Saturday, July 20th from 4:00pm to 5:00pm to see an all-star panel with comic series creator Robert Kirkman and the developers from Telltale Games. The panel will walk you through the origins of the game, reveal details on gameplay features exclusive to PS Vita, and include a little sneak peek on what’s to come in the next chapter of The Walking Dead game series. Seating is on a first-come, first served basis, so arrive early — we hope to see you there!
