Infamous: Second Son is one of the first major PS4 exclusives to come to the console since it launched some three months ago, so it's kind of a big deal for Sony. That's why its Euro branch is chucking an Infamous sale at PSN users ahead of the game's launch next month.

If you're totally new to Sucker Punch's elemental open-world action series, but you do want in on the whole caboodle, then the Infamous Collection offers the best value. It includes all three Infa-games - that's Infamous, Infamous 2, and the vampiric standalone expansion Festival of Blood - and it's down by just under half to £15.38/18.89 euros/AU$28.05. If you'd prefer, the three games are all on sale individually, and there's a 10 percent discount on all the purchases for PS Plus members. Check out the full list of discounts on the PS Blog.

That trilogy of games features electric hero/anti-hero Cole McGrath, but Second Son introduces a new, smokier star in Delsin Rowe. As for whether the game is as smoking as its new protagonist, we'll find out when it hits PS4 in a month's time on March 21. [Image: Sony]

As promised earlier this year, PlayStation Move support is now functional in inFamous 2 and the franchise's latest iteration, inFamous 2: Festival of Blood. Even more thrilling? You can add Move functionality right into your user-created content, care of the game's level editor. Move support comes to inFamous 2 and Festival of Blood via an in-game update, which players will be prompted to download at the launch of either game.

If that info weren't enough to get your arms waggling (get it? 'cause of the Move? yeah!), Sucker Punch creative lead Nate Fox starred in the handy video above, detailing the added functionality.

Filed under: Sony PlayStation 3, Reviews, Action The world of Infamous is all about character. The settings, from urban-gothic Empire City to moss-drenched, sweltering New Marais, ooze character. The protagonists, particularly Nascar-ready Cole McGrath and his bro-friend Zeke, are studies in character, seemingly ripped from a television show you've known and loved for years. And then there's you, the player. Do you have character? What sort? Will you be a good witch or a bad witch? Your character will determine how the games play out, and how the game world responds to you.

For the standalone PSN downloadable Festival of Blood, Sucker Punch has turned a hat trick whipping up a tasty little Halloween treat that, in spite of its brevity, follows in the tradition of its larger franchise and provides some of the most intriguing game experiences of any game available now, downloadable or not. Without a doubt, it has the most character of any three-hour game I have ever played.

Infamous: Festival of Blood is now available on PSN as a standalone download. If the launch trailer is any indication, it really has been a rough year for the Coles of the video game world.

#infamous One of the things that's always a challenge in superhero games is giving the character new powers as they go. Infamous 2 got to bypass Cole McGrath's origin story, and as a result introduced new powers while presenting a faster-moving, more enjoyable story than the first game. More »

It's a big week for PSN users, as two highly-anticipated downloadable games emerged on Sony's service today. Astute headline readers already know what we're talking about: Infamous 2: Festival of Blood and PixelJunk Sidescroller.

In addition to the downloadable titles, there's a single-player demo for Resistance 3 to check out, some Gran Turismo 5 DLC and other goodies you can read all about over on the PlayStation Blog.

Unlike some titles on PlayStation 3 like LittleBigPlanet 2, Killzone 3 or Resistance 3, Infamous 2 wouldn't strike many as a game that needs DLC. It tells its plot pretty well on its own, and regardless of if you took the good or bad ending (or both), you got a lot of bang for your buck in bringing Cole MacGrath through his second dedicated story on the PS3. There's little more Infamous fans could ask for from the Infamous 2 experience...

Today, Sony revealed release dates for a slew of games, mainly PlayStation Move-enabled titles like Carnival Island, Everybody Dance and the new EyePet. However, two games core PS3 gamers are looking forward to -- the DLC expansion for Infamous 2 called Festival of Blood and Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest -- were also dated...

Sucker Punch and Sony are teasing Infamous 2: Festival of Blood with a brief cutscene. It shows a shriveled corpse drinking superhero Cole McGrath's blood, in order to resurrect as some kind of super-vampire. If that's the kind of imagery that interests you, we suspect you'll find a lot more of it in the PSN game.

After all, it's not only about fighting vampires -- your character becomes a vampire himself. This will be the go-to game for scenes of blood drinking, electrocution, and, we're guessing, bloodtrocution.

Back at Gamescom, Sony announced that Infamous 2: Festival of Blood would be a standalone, downloadable game later this year. In it, the city of New Marais is overrun with vampires, Cole -- the game's protagonist -- would be bitten, and players would have 24 hours to set things right or watch the city be lost to the creatures of the night...

This October, it's time to go back to New Marais. Vampires will take over the city in Infamous 2: Festival of Blood, a standalone PlayStation Network download. In the game, vampires will bite Cole MacGrath (the hero of Infamous), and we'll have just one night to find and slay the king vampire to save humanity...
