The Devil May Cry HD Collection is available now in invisible, digital form via Xbox Live Marketplace and PSN, for $30 or 2400 MS Points. Devil May Cry HD Collection includes Devil May Cry 1, 2 and 3, leaving out 4 because playing as Nero once is quite enough, thank you. At least, we assume that's why. It could also be because 4 is already an HD title.

Capcom suggests Devil May Cry HD Collection can hold fans over until DmC drops on January 15, in all of its own HD and neon-filtered glory.

There simply aren't enough games telling us that we're doing something crazy and/or dope. Devil May Cry HD Collection, however, is more than happy to do just that. Frankly, we appreciate it.

The Devil May Cry series set a bold precedent for action games in the early 2000s. Each of the first three games created challenging, stylish, and intense experiences, forcing players to learn combat, special moves, and evasion to survive. Now, Capcom and Pipeworks have brought the three original ga...

The Devil May Cry HD Collection has an official launch date of April 3, but brick-and-mortar stores such as GameStop are selling it right now -- seriously, call up your local games store and ask if they have it in stock.

Told you so.

Physical retailers are able to sell Devil May Cry HD before the launch date because the title's street date has been removed, a GameStop representative told Joystiq. Perhaps this is Capcom's way of getting you out of the house, or maybe it's trying to bring down that newfangled digital-shopping model. Whatever the reason, just think of this as Easter come early and enjoy slaughtering all your demons a week in advance.

#devilmaycry Capcom's looking to make both sorts of Devil May Cry fan happy in the coming months. They've got the re-envisioned DMC Devil May Cry update to their demon-hunting franchise releasing at some undetermined future date. That game sticks to the series' guns-and-swords play stle, even if it looks radically different. And traditionalists will get the white-haired Dante they love in newly re-mastered form in the Devil May Cry HD Collection, which collects the first three games of the series' original iteration. Capcom's just announced that the up-rezzed collection will be hitting both Europe and North America on April 3rd, 2012. You've got to think that DMC will hit later next year with the HD collection as a lead-in, right? More »

Unleash Dante's raging inferno next year when the Devil May Cry HD Collection arrives April 3, 2012. Capcom confirmed the date today for the bundle, featuring the first three games in the series (including the "special edition" version of DMC 3), and reiterated the game will be available on Xbox 360 and PS3 for $39.99.

The package will (naturally) support both Trophies and Achievements, and will include unspecified "bonus content"... like, black hair dye?

#devilmaycry It's inadvertently been a Devil May Cry week here at Kotaku. First we get the new screens of the DmC re-boot, then a spotlight on the series' other half-demon bad-ass Vergil in an Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 video. Now comes a new trailer with snippets from the collection's three games, all re-done in up-rezzed shininess. More »
