The cast of superheroes and villains filling out Injustice: Gods Among Us continues to expand, with Netherrealm Studios and Warner Bros. confirming Green Arrow, Joker, and Green Lantern are in.
These characters join Batman, Catwoman, Cyborg, Flash, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, Solomon Grundy, Superman, and Wonder Woman. There are plenty more announcements for the future, too. I'm waiting for Matter-Eater Lad.
The latest combatant confirmed for NetherRealm's Injustice: Gods Among Us is Green Arrow, billionaire Oliver Queen by day and bow-and-arrow-wielding superhero by night. Green Arrow is a core member of DC's Justice League outfit, so his inclusion in Gods Among Us makes sense. Also, there's a new TV show about the character coming soon so the timing there is pretty impeccable. Synergy!
As you can see in the unveiling trailer over on Entertainment Weekly, his bow comes in handy during battle - it allows him to continue juggle combos and in one sequence, he even uses it to freeze Nightwing. We're also shown some of the touted stage interactivity as Green Arrow pulls down a steam vent to daze The Flash.

Among the many things stuffed in the newly announced Injustice: Gods Among Us collector's edition is this statue, a 13" tall representation of a man being choked and, soon, bludgeoned.
Well, maybe it sounds better if we say it's an intense battle scene between Batman and Wonder Woman, featuring Superman's Krypton escape rocket (as a weapon) and parts of the Fortress of Solitude. Explain it that way when you get yours, instead of just calling it a statue of a guy getting murdered.
The $100 box also includes a "special collector's edition of a brand new DC Comics series," a download of the Justice League: Doom movie, and in-game skins for Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman based on their latest costume designs from the rebooted DC universe. It'll be out in April for PS3 and Xbox 360. The Wii U version will not be released in a collector's edition for some reason.
