The Injustice: Gods Among Us mobile app, announced during last week's GDC, is available now on the App Store. The game is a fighter meets collectible card game and is a companion piece to the Injustice console version.
Setting up a WBID (which will also be used for the upcoming Infinite Crisis) will grant access to unlock and share items between the mobile and console versions. The iOS edition is a free-to-play download that works on recent Apple and Wayne Tech devices.
We check out the iOS version of Injustice: Gods Among Us with NetherRealm and guess what? This game is free and it unlocks skins for the console version.
Now that the Injustice: Gods Among Us demo is live on PSN and Xbox Live, the game's associated Avatar goodies have also hit the Xbox Live Marketplace. Of the many offerings available (Wonder Woman/Superman/Batman logo shirts, etc), the costumes for Killer Frost and Ares seen above are by far the most interesting, since those characters haven't been announced for the game.
Considering that every other available costume is for one of the game's many playable characters, we feel safe in assuming that Ares and Killer Frost haven't been thrown in for giggles. More likely, these two villains are either unlockable fighters, or future DLC. We've reached out to NetherRealm studios for more information and will update with anything we learn.
It's the semifinals of the Injustice battle arena league and if you put money down on anybody else other than Batman vs. Superman in the finals... well, we hear bookies are really understanding about offering refunds.
NetherRealm walks us through it's extra missions -- which just so happen to pack Martian Manhunter, Raven's dad, and Catwoman's Cat. Also, the final 2 characters are inadvertently confirmed.
Batman, Wonder Woman, and Lex Luthor will face off in Gotham City, in a demo of Injustice: Gods Among Us coming out April 2 on PSN in North America, and April 3 on PSN in Europe and XBLA worldwide. The full game is due two weeks later.
Strangely, the announcement of a demo featuring these two characters was paired with the release of a new trailer featuring Black Adam. Now, we don't claim to be experts in the immense world of DC Comics lore, but we don't think Black Adam is any of those three characters.
A mobile version of Injustice: Gods Among Us is in the works. Although details weren't provided during a GDC showing of the console game, a Warner Bros. representative tells us we should learn more shortly.

Batman, Catwoman and the Joker are all getting alternate skins for Injustice: Gods Among Us that make them look like they're straight out of Arkham City.
