Prepare for Titanfall with $20 off Xbox Live Gold on Amazon. The 12-month membership card is currently $40. The rub? It's only available in, like, card form. A physical card. Like you're a rube. A rube!

Remember that these cards do stack, so inputting two is two years' worth. Also, the Xbox Live family plan no longer exists, so if you've got multiple accounts to to tend to in the house, keeping an eye out for deals like this is the best in a bad situation. [Image: Microsoft]

Kingdom Come Deliverance is part of an elite group of games-to-be that've raised more than $1 million on Kickstarter. Warhorse's medieval European first-person RPG, creatively led by Mafia and Mafia 2 designer Dan Vávra, galloped to just over £1.1 million in funding this week. That converts to something like $1.84 million, and according to Kickstarter's own list it's the 26th most funded project on the site to date. Not to mention that's in addition to the $1.5 million in investment raised privately by Warhorse prior to the campaign, so that's one heck of a launchpad for the Czech developer to work from.

It brings an end to what's been a heady few days of announcements for Warhorse, who started the week by revealing Microsoft and Sony have given their approvals to Kingdom Come Deliverance. That means the game's CryEngine 3-powered open world is on the way to PS4 and Xbox One, as well as PC - Warhorse had already stated it wanted to bring the game to next-gen systems, but that was the first word of official confirmation.

That was followed by news of a partnership with another prolific fundraiser, namely Chris Roberts of Star Citizen. The move will see the Star Citizen team share some of its tech with Warhorse, and vice versa, and while it's hardly the first of its kind in the industry, it's still an alliance that should be interesting to watch unfold.

As for when the game will make good on its Deliverance, as it stands it's going to be a long wait. It's a Q4 2015 release window for Windows, Mac, and Linux, with no word yet on when to expect it on PS4 and Xbox One. In the meantime, backers and fans can make do with a livestream that showcases 57 minutes of a playable build. [Image: Warhorse Studios]

Monolith Productions is doing "whatever we can" to ensure feature parity between the Xbox 360, PS3 versions of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and the Xbox One, PS4 offerings. But the developer admits this may be an impossibility and reveals the game's core hook, the Nemesis system driving its procedurally-generated enemies, will likely lack some complexity on Xbox 360 and PS3 when the game launches this year.

"To break it down, some of the stuff we're pretty confident will still be very similar on current gen: the core mechanics, like combat, stealth, ranged and movements; the basic control and gameplay, that should all be really solid," Monolith Design Director Michael De Plater told IGN. "What it won't have is the same level of depth and variety and simulation within the 'Nemesis system.'" De Plater added that the Nemesis system is "just so huge in terms of content, calculations and AI we'll just have to try and get as much of it in as we can."

The Nemesis system is the mechanic driving Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor's core gameplay loop. Protagonist Talion, on a mission of revenge, explores Mordor and isolates Orcs in order to extract information on Sauron's army. This information reveals not only Orc hierarchy, but also the vulnerabilities and strengths of individual Orc commanders, each of which are procedurally-generated by the game.

We were able to go in-depth with Shadow of Mordor's Nemesis system last month, though admittedly all we saw was the next-gen version running on a high-end PC. Monolith was unwilling to discuss the planned Xbox 360 and PS3 versions at the time. [Image: Warner Bros.]

Sega Genesis homebrew-turned-modern console release Pier Solar HD has been pushed back to an April launch on all platforms, developer WaterMelon confirmed this week.

WaterMelon's retro-styled RPG was originally set to launch digitally in March for the PlayStation 3, PS4, Wii U, PC, Mac, Linux, Android, Ouya and Dreamcast platforms. The project earned over $230,000 in backer pledges when it turned to Kickstarter for funding in 2012.

Ports for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One are also in the works, pending WaterMelon's acceptance into Microsoft's ID@Xbox self-publishing program. WaterMelon studio president Tulio Goncalves additionally hinted at the possibility of a 3DS port in a recent interview with Nintendo Enthusiast, explaining that the Wii U version's second-screen functionality would transfer easily to Nintendo's portable platform.

Microsoft has officially changed the name of its cloud service SkyDrive to "OneDrive." The Windows, Windows Phone, iOS, Android and Xbox One-compatible service will also receive a monthly payment plan option in addition to a new referral program that offers up to 15 GB of additional space when inviting friends and enabling camera roll backup.

Xbox One owners can use OneDrive as a means of sharing recorded gameplay clips online in conjunction with the Upload Studio app on the system. The latest improvements to OneDrive includes achievements on the game console, rewarding users for actions like adding a shared folder to OneGuide in the app and viewing 100,000 photos. The achievements do not count towards players' gamerscores, however. [Image: Microsoft]

Interesting art talks looking at character customization and animation workflow for Destiny will be hosted by Bungie at this year's Game Developers Conference, which goes down in San Francisco next month. Irrational Games (what's left of it, anyway) will provide a breakdown of how Elizabeth's AI-controlled movements were created for BioShock Infinite and a panel from Monaco designer Andy Nguyen will address how developer Pocketwatch Games completely streamlined its game post-launch after poring over player data.

If you've ever wondered how Bethesda created your favorite dungeons in Skyrim and Fallout 3, a panel on iterative level design will attempt to provide insight. A panel from two-man team Vlambeer will offer a behind-the-curtain look at the life of Nuclear Throne, which went from game jam prototype to early access offering and, later this year, full product launch. Another potentially interesting talk, headed up by Sean Vanaman, may finally give us our first glimpse at what Campo Santo is working on.

These are just a handful of the dozens of interesting engagements going down at this year's GDC, held in San Francisco from March 17 - 21, 2014. A full list of the panels and workshops have been published online for all attendees - if you're interested in attending, you can purchase passes through GDC's website.

Though it's been available on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One for the past few days, the free Bonnaroo app gets its first injection of real content this evening in the form of a concert leading up the official reveal of the lineup of bands to appear at this year's Bonnaroo Music Festival.

The festivities begin at 7PM ET, with a pre-show hosted by comedian Hannibal Buress and Saturday Night Live's Taran Killam. According to Xbox Wire, this show will also feature a collaborative "SuperJam" from Ben Folds and The Flaming Lips. The Bonnaroo 2014 lineup will be revealed immediately following the pre-show, along with further information on what exactly the Bonnaroo app will be able to show Xbox users.

The 2014 incarnation of the Bonnaroo Music Festival is slated to take place in Manchester, Tennessee from June 12 to 15. Those who would rather make the trek to experience the event in person than watch it via Xbox app will find more information on how to get tickets at the Festival's website. [Image: Xbox Wire]

You've seen the frame-rates and resolutions for Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, now see the frame-rates and resolutions in Konami's new comparison video. Rather than dwell on the differences in p between Xbox One and PS4, it focuses on cross-gen enhancements between PS3 and PS4, and Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

One thing it doesn't touch on is the price difference. When the prologue to MGS5: The Phantom Pain hits on March 18, a download version will set you back $20 on Xbox 360 and PS3, and $30 on PS4 and Xbox One, with physical copies priced at $30 and $40 respectively.

Order up! The next installment in the Wolfenstein series, The New Order, launches on May 20 in North America and on May 23 in Europe, publisher Bethesda Softworks has announced. Wolfenstein: The New Order is the first game from developer MachineGames, founded in 2009 by exiting members of Riddick-dev Starbreeze.

Bethesda also revealed that pre-ordering The New Order will net players an invite to a beta for Doom, which a Bethesda representative tells Joystiq is "the next Doom game from id Software." Developer id Software first announced a new installment in the franchise, at the time titled Doom 4, in May 2008. Since then, id has muttered nary a word about the next game - save for today's news that, yes, it's still in development. Bethesda promises more information on the beta, which has not been dated, on its official site.

Wolfenstein: The New Order focuses on narrative, eschewing a multiplayer mode in favor of a story that revolves around an alt-history 1960s where the Nazi regime had been victorious in their monstrous World War 2 campaign.

The New Order will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC alongside Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions.

We think Microsoft may have an addiction. On top of the Ultimate discounts on offer this week, Microsoft has announced an entirely different crop of cheap games, available through February 24. Two sales at the same time? Madness!

If you want to take advantage of Microsoft's lapse in judgment, you can grab Ryse: Son of Rome for $40. We may even see more of this in the future, as Microsoft toys around with discount digital pricing on Xbox One.

Ridge Racer Unbounded is on sale for $5 and all of its DLC can be acquired for pennies on the dollar. Persona 4 Arena, Angry Birds: Star Wars and more on Xbox 360 are cheap too so, if you're interested, pop on over to Major Nelson's website for the full list of markdowns. [Image: Microsoft Studios]
