Transistor is coming soon! Mark your calendar for May 20th, 2014 — In just a few weeks, our next game will be available on PS4! We’ve been putting the finishing touches on it, and we think it’s just about ready.

If you’re not familiar with the game, Transistor is a sci-fi themed action RPG that invites you to wield an extraordinary weapon of unknown origin as you fight through a stunning futuristic city. Gameplay seamlessly integrates thoughtful strategic planning with fast-paced action and rich atmospheric storytelling. During the course of the adventure, you’ll piece together the Transistor’s mysteries as you pursue its former owners.

This week at PAX East in Boston, several of us from Supergiant will be taking a short break from development to show you some of our latest progress. We’ll have a near-final build of the game running on PS4, which you’ll be able to get your hands on at our booth (#892). It was one year ago at PAX East that we showed Transistor for the first time!

We’ll have more details about Transistor in the days leading up to our launch next month. Until then, here are some quick facts we wanted to share — stay tuned for more:

When is Transistor due out?
Transistor’s release date is May 20th, 2014.

Where will I be able to get the game?
You’ll be able to get Transistor for PS4 on PlayStation Store

How much is the game?
$19.99 in North America.

Will Transistor be available in my country?
We plan for a worldwide launch. Transistor includes English voiceover and text in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Can I preorder the game?
Not at this time, though we’re looking into it!

Roguelike-like RPG Dragon Fin Soup first caught our collective composite eye last month, when all we had to judge it by was a short trailer, a few screenshots, and some words from the developers about how cool they think their game is. Oh, what wide-eyed innocents we were! How trusting! How naive! How… actually quite pleasant the game does actually look in a new 24-minute gameplay video with developer commentary.

Admit it, this is the Star Wars Pinball moment we have all been waiting for – R2-D2 and C-3PO are getting their own pinball table! As if it couldn’t get any better, we are happy to announce Star Wars Pinball: Heroes Within will be available for download starting April 29, 2014, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PS Vita!

Climb aboard the Jawa’s massive Sandcrawler and check out the trailer showing off our Droid duo’s pinball debut.

R2-D2 and C-3PO face a myriad of pitfalls including conveyor belts, welding torches, pressing machinery, robotic arms and lava pits! Your finest pinball skills are required to help our friends escape the Sandcrawler! Beware of Nebit, as he tries to thwart the escape and keep our Droids captive!

The third chapter of Telltale’s adventure game adaptation of the ‘what if fairy tales were real and lived in New York?’ comic Fables was released on Tuesday. I played it on Wednesday. I then published an article about it on Thursday. I might play it again on Friday. Here’s why.

Ah, that’s much better. After such a strong start – for me, the most compelling Telltale opener yet – The Wolf Among Us hit lengthy and mysterious delays, followed by a disappointingly perfunctory episode 2. It left me wondering if the series was playing for time, but now it has had that time. Fortunately, it seems to have paid off. Longer, with many more decisions, a stronger sense of consequence and a wise focus on character development above melodrama, this series can once again be said to be a wolf rather than a poodle. … [visit site to read more]

10th April, 2014 - A new 'Championship Mode' inspired by the iconic Nintendo World Championship event - which took place in the US in 1990 - is making its way into the upcoming NES Remix 2, launching exclusively on Nintendo eShop for Wii U on 25th April. Championship Mode challenges players to achieve the highest cumulative score in three specific games using a multiplier-based scoring system, with players required to have save data from the first NES Remix in order to enjoy this competitive new feature.

With the Championship Mode line-up comprising of Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3 and Dr. Mario, players will take on a series of three successive score-based challenges in these games to achieve a cumulative total score. In addition, your score can also be posted to Miiverse, so you can compete with friends and other players.

NES Remix 2 is a mashup of classic Nintendo games that features challenges from many different NES games like Kid Icarus, Kirby's Adventure and Metroid. Just like NES Remix, this sequel includes stages from NES games with added challenges, as well as modified stages that introduce new elements.

Just a few short weeks ago we officially released inFAMOUS Second Son, the most recent power-filled adventure from Sucker Punch Productions exclusively for the PlayStation 4 system. Immediately following the title’s announcement over a year ago, it was clear so many of you were eagerly anticipating Second Son’s release, the next installment to the inFAMOUS franchise. It was great to see such a warm reception to the title when it finally hit store shelves last month, and for all of us here at PlayStation and the team at Sucker Punch, it’s been really rewarding to share this launch with all of you. It’s exciting to see so many passionate inFAMOUS fans as you share your gameplay moments across all the social media sites including spectacular screenshots on Twitter and live streams on Twitch and Ustream.

So it comes with great excitement to learn that within the first nine days of launch, global sales of inFAMOUS Second Son exceeded over 1 million units*, making Second Son the fastest selling inFAMOUS title to date!

A huge congratulations goes out to the team over at Sucker Punch for creating such a wonderful game, a true testament to their passion as developers and commitment to their fans, and a great big thanks to all of you who have picked up the game and have shown us how you enjoy your powers.
