The PlayStation 3's long-running baseball sim is still great, but this year doesn't have much to get excited about.

- Recca and his fellow Gaist Crushers will be in charge of stopping God Gaists
- these God Gaists are out to destroy the entire human race in order to “fix” the world
- in 2047, a rare metal known as the Gaimetal was discovered 50,000m in the depths of the land
- Gaimetal is a metal with the purest form of energy

- in 2064 the protagonist Recca joins the GCG (Gaist Crusher Garrison)
- he has participated in various events and saved the world from danger
- the ultimate Gaist, known as the “God Gaist,” appeared out of nowhere
- the God Gaist is said to have the power to “unify” the world
- there’s a total of four God Gaists who have the power to see through the “hearts” of humans

Threes is the adorable, addictive puzzler from Greg Wohlwend and Asher Vollmer, neither of whom are robots. Team Colorblind is the studio behind Aztez, the bloody beat-em-up in development for next-gen platforms and Steam, and no one in that group is a robot, either.

Threesus, also known as Threepio, is a robot, and it's playing Threes live on game broadcasting platform Twitch right now - and it's doing a really good job. Matthew Wegner, one half of Team Colorblind, designed the robot playing Threes, while Way designer Walt Destler programmed the AI's logic.

We enjoy Threes very much, but we've never reached the ridiculous numbers this robot can. A lot of other people haven't, either: Less than half of players have seen the tile 384, but Threepio has made it to the thousands. So far.

Following the debut of the excellent turn-based strategy game Age of Wonders 3 on March 31, developer Triumph Studios has simultaneously announced and launched a map editor for those who prefer crafting their own worlds to relying on the game's random map generator.

"The map making community has been super important to Age of Wonders, they have helped keep the series alive for over 10 years since the release of the previous title," wrote Triumph development director Lennart Sas in this morning's announcement.

According to Triumph, the editor will allow players to craft new maps and scenarios using the deep well of content included with Age of Wonders 3. With a bit of extra effort, those more dedicated (or finicky) creators can customize the game even further by importing their own audio and art assets to customize story cutscenes, campaigns and individual heroes.

Best of all, the Age of Wonders 3 map editor is now available at no charge. Those who own Age of Wonders 3 will now find a new option in the game's launcher which will fire up the gratis editor. [Image: Triumph Studios]
