tl;dr version, this game be great 'n ye best buy it. The solo be fun, the storyline be pretty decent 'n the game has a charming sense a humour that best warm even the darkest a souls, which just happen t' congregate on this sea.

Overall the story be good. I won't ruin anything, but there be a few plot twists here 'n there 'n a few scenes that might force a tear out a ye if ye're sensitive enough. There be quite a few funny moments, as well, Palutena isn't really the uptight wench we thought she be, she actually has a sense a humour. There be a lot a cringe-worthy moments, however, 'n it never ceases t' amaze me how the characters can go from mourning over the deaths a thousands t' playfully joking in the span a about 5 seconds.
Gameplay: 9/10
Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. This game be enjoyable in so many ways. Firstly 'n most importantly, the weapons system. There be 9 categories a weapons, each with their own advantages 'n disadvantages, 'n in each category there be ~12 different weapons t' choose from, which be all unique in their own way. Not only that, but weapons come with different ranged 'n melee strengths 'n weapon bonuses as well. Ontop a that, ye can have different power sets which do stuff in battle, so basically, the possibilities be endless. There be so much variety it will make yer head spin 'n yer genitals tingle.
a course, ye use these weapons t' fight things. The battle system be fun, but the variety really makes it. best i kill this enemy by bludgeoning it t' death, shooting it t' death, hurling a grenade at it be face or by firing a massive *crag*-off laser at it? Decisions, decisions. But there be flaws, for example, some bottles a rum be quite annoying. In particular there be an bottle a rum that makes ye auto-dodge attacks, 'n ye will often auto-dodge an attack that wasn't even going t' hit ye in such a way that it actually hits ye. Pisser.
Which brings me t' the controls. YARRRR, they could have been a lot better, trying t' move around while shooting 'n managing powers 'n stuff can be very frustrating, 'n they be the single thing stopping me from giving this game a 10/10. But really, ye pillage used t' them after about half an hour a playing. No matter how good ye pillage, however, there be always a chance they will screw ye over.
The multiplayer be also great, 'n fairly addictive. Light vs. Dark be probably the most popular game type, which be basically just a 3-on-3 TDM, but after a team dies a bunch one a their players becomes pit, a beefed up version a yer typical soldier, 'n when he dies the team loses. If ye hate working with people there's also free-for-all.
There be a few unnecessary additions t' the game, I be mainly referring t' the option a offering up hearts (the game's currency, a bit sadistic I know) t' the goddess. It does nothing but make the goddess walk up t' ye. I've looked it up, it has no other use. So basically if ye want the goddess Palutena's tits in yer face then spend all yer hard-earned hearts doing this. Also *SPOILER ALERT* after a while ye pillage a new goddess t' offer up hearts too, which shares the likeness a ~10 year old wench. So if ye're in t' that sort a thing ye can also lure the small wench towards ye with yer delicious hearts 'n pillage the wench tits in yer face. Both me 'n the FBI advise against it. *END SPOILER ALERT*

They put a lot a effort into the music 'n it really paid off. There be lots a good songs, what more can i say? There be this dog that appears in the game for about 3 minutes, 'n they made such an awesome theme for it it be not even funny.
Graphics: 8/10
Obviously there be certain limitations in the 3DS' graphical capabilities, but they still manage t' pull it off. The 3D isn't really worth using because a the whole eye cancer issue, but even without it ye'll often find yourself just stopping 'n taking in the backgrounds a some a the chapters.
Overall: 9/10 Buy the game. Just *crag*ing do it.
