Go buy it now. If you have a Wii U its a must own for the console. I cannot stop playing, I am writing this while on the toilet because thats the only time I'm away from that *crag*ing game.

I'm not so sure how good the ports to other systems are, I'm sure they're fine but keep in mind this is a game that was built from the ground up for wii U and after it was finished they decided to port it, so take that into account.

There is a boatload of content in this game, I mean I beat level one and unlocked like a million *crag*ing things I mean jesus what the *crag* is even going on here why am I unlocking rayman origins in this shit what the *crag* are these cratures is this what nintendogs looks like in france jesus.

MS has been sucking up to competition recently since Ballmer is trying to kill the company, they're even developing for GNU/Linux now. They're pretty much just trying to blow out the fire on every bridge they've been burning so they won't be completely dead in the next couple decades.

Retro Sci-fi RPG Cosmic Star Heroine Revealed at PAX

We here at the two-man development studio known as Zeboyd Games are pleased to announce that our next RPG, Cosmic Star Heroine, will be coming out on PS4 and PS Vita next year! And to go along with that announcement, here’s our Sega-CD inspired opening video for our game! Enjoy!

9614539379_6d901379f3_m.jpg

A very special thanks to Dean Dodrill (Dust: An Elysian Tail) who helped out with effects and animation, as well as Chris Geehan and Dan Byrne-McCullough over at Hyperduck (who did the music for our last RPG) for helping make that video go to 11! And of course, our own Bill Stiernberg, who handled the brunt of the work!

Cosmic Star Heroine is our latest attempt to recapture the feel of some of the classic RPGs of the 90s, while putting our own unique spin on the whole experience. Inspired by games like Chrono Trigger (visual style, on-map battles, combo techniques), the Phantasy Star series (overall feel of the worlds and characters), and the Suikoden series (political intrigue, expandable player headquarters), we can’t wait to share Cosmic Star Heroine with you!

So who is the titular Cosmic Star Heroine?

Alyssa L’Salle! She’s one of the galactic government’s top agents, and has saved the galaxy more than once! But when she accidentally uncovers a dark conspiracy, her own government outs her as a legendary spy and the people’s champion! Sure, now she has hordes of adoring fans, but every villainous organization she’s ever crossed in her career knows who she is and is out for her blood! Can she save the day once more while she faces her greatest challenge… everyone!?

9614539353_8a479124ba_z.jpg

But she won’t have to go it alone! No, she’ll be leading a bizarre group of “heroes” into battle.

9614539309_beea020db1_m.jpg

We’ve made several RPGs in the past (Cthulhu Saves the World, Breath of Death VII, Penny Arcade’s On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 & 4), but we’re really stepping up our ambition with Cosmic Star Heroine. A deeper story, meticulously balanced play, a brain-melting soundtrack from Hyperduck, glorious 16-bit-esque pixel art, and much more await you!

And that means we need your help! We’ll be running a Kickstarter to raise needed development funds to make Cosmic Star Heroine the best “Shoulda been released in the 90s” RPG ever! And thanks to the good people at Sony, we’ll be able to offer cross-buy (buy once, get both versions!) PS4/Vita PSN codes for Cosmic Star Heroine at the low reward tier of $10! And of course, there’ll be plenty of other cool rewards if you choose to donate more!

Look for more news, screenshots, and the Cosmic Star Heroine kickstarter in the coming weeks! In the meantime, feel free to ask us questions in the comments!

Since the game allows you to “revive on the spot” when you go Game Over, anyone should be able to complete the game as long as you keep selecting Continue. On the other hand, if you just want to blast through the stages kicking GEATHJERK behind left and right without worry, you can always switch to Easy or Very Easy along the way.

There’s no shame in playing through Easy to earn loads of O-parts and buy lots of items, before you start challenging Normal mode!

If there wasn't some terrible downside to giving into violent urges I'm sure we wouldn't be here right now.

We'd be busy beating the shit out of eachother, frothing with negative emotions. And life would be pretty simple, and painful. Of course nobody in this age would adjust well to that, and we'd all have to give our lives to create an age that would. It's a step back but a step forward in simple solutioning. Speaking of which that kid is still *crag*ing crying, and I must shut it up with my social skills. Yes I just referred to calming something down as a social skill, and I just used social skills objectively. Eat a dick.

There are a lot of 2D games available that use the Unity game engine, but the fact of the matter is that Unity was made mainly with 3D rendering in mind.

But the company now wants to offer 2D game developers the same kind of support that it has for 3D developers. David Helgason, Unity CEO announced at its Unite conference in Vancouver that Unity’s new 2D Tools are now in beta.

A friend and I made an alternative to Firefox's about:newtab. It also works in Chrome, too.

It comes with the pic of konata but you can remove it. Also you can just get a really basic version from my friend's github. The background comes with an .xcf if you want to change it (why would you?)

I'm actually not sure why anyone would use it, it's not as friendly as about:newtab at all since you have to manually put links and screenshot in the code. But it's fun to hack if you know JavaScript.

One thing I can't help but admire about fighting games is how well the genre uses moves and kinetics for characterization: sure, not every game has a fantastic story attached to it, but that doesn't mean a fighting game can't have well-defined, unique characters, you know?Read more...

Fans of physical stuff can walk into their local game store and pick up a PS3 copy of DuckTales Remastered today. You may want to act sooner rather than later, as Capcom-Unity says game disc quantities are "hyper-limited" - so maybe call first rather than just stopping by.

The boxed copy of DuckTales Remastered, priced at $20, includes a download voucher for the game (no disc!) on PS3, cover art sleeve and an exclusive collector's pin of protagonist Scrooge McDuck. DuckTales Remastered is currently available for download on PS3, Steam and Wii U; the Xbox 360 version arrives on September 11.

Origin Bundle is the biggest seller in Humble Bundle's history

The Electronic Arts-sponsored Humble Origin Bundle has earned over $8.6 million in charity donations since its launch earlier this month, breaking previous sales records and emerging as the biggest-selling Humble Bundle offering to date.

The record surpasses last year's Humble Indie Bundle V, which took in $5.1 million over the course of its two-week campaign. The Humble Origin Bundle collects EA's Dead Space, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, Crysis 2 Maximum Edition, Mirror's Edge, Dead Space 3, Medal of Honor, Battlefield 3 and The Sims 3 in a pay-what-you-want package. Buyers have the option of dividing their purchase price between several featured charities.

The collection recently added Bullfrog's 1989 strategy game Populous and 2009's RTS Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Uprising to its lineup of "beat the average" purchase incentives. The Humble Origin Bundle will remain available through next Wednesday.
