Because you wanted reasons why people think the forum was better than what we have now

1. It's more inactive than the forum was before you locked it up 2. Posting feels akward which is why nobody posts that much, Like making paragraphs is nearly impossible and adding more than 1 image/link/whatever can get overcrowded 3. There isn't a novelty to amuse ourselves (Coins/Searchlights/etc.) 4. It doesn't have the same feel as the old site which probably keeps members from the old forum from coming here. 5. No shenanigans at the new site(this place specifically needs shenanigans in order to survive.), this is mainly do to lack of posting and lack of "good" threads 6. The new format makes spammy threads less amusing making it hard to stir up shenanigans 7. The forum anyone can post images and videos as long as there not restricted, here only OP can post images and videos 8. Logging in takes more time than it should here The site personally works better as a newsfeed rather than a place to casually discuss things, sure I guess you can say PHBB is software for the Stone Ages but *crag* it still works. It's like throwing rocks at windows. Maybe if you kept this place around as a news feed to post and comment on and reopen the old forum for everyone else. That way you can use this place for people who like getting direct news feeds on specific games and we can have the old forum for *crag*ing around. Everyone wins.

Replies:

1. The site was gradually losing activity anyway, and a chunk of people left for Bitlands without continuing to come to this site shortly before; in reality, this is about as active as the twilight days of old digibutter (Save for OT). These are just the results of a site that doesn't advertise itself and instead relies on its established, dwindling user base.
2. Posting is far easier and far more adaptable than in old digibutter, and there are updates to topics
3. That will come in time
4. Out with the old, in with the new, as they say
5. Shenanigans will come with time, and advertising (If Francis bothers with advertising)
6. Why is that, especially when there is much more freedom regarding spam than ever before on digibutter
7. I have to agree with you there.
8. Only by a few seconds
Overall, this site is a vast improvement over the old site, and its problems will be solved in time. Francis probably made the mistake of releasing the site too early, as this version is still in its early stages of development. If you're going to pester Francis, I suggest pestering him not to revert back to the cave man software of phpBB, but pester him to keep updating the current format of the site. Far more will be accomplished that way

All valid points, thanks loafSKZ. Except, could you go into more detail about the "awkward" posting? and what keeps people from having shenanigans here?

i guess i kinda miss the old forum...i think it'd be kinda nice if we could choose between using the old forum and this new site.

oh, the reason your PM didn't work was because you posted at some other Francis.
(I'm moving this to my board now)

"3. There isn't a novelty to amuse ourselves (Coins/Searchlights/etc.)"
I agree. I miss the coins/items/hp system. Mainly because being stripped of it means no Underwhere.
