creativity of the sprite matters. I'll probably have two winners, one for the sprite and one for the battle.

what if the best sprite is also the best at the game? what would happen then? do they get two medals?

Would you mind getting a non-transparent version of this? Some transparent gifs mess up when you open them in programs like paint or photoshop and the backgrounds turn black, which is terrible for a lot of sprites especially ones from old games since it removes the black borders and it's a pain to have to draw them back in. I still haven't found an adequate fix for it.

Make the background transparent or an easily detected color like hot-pink. Also saving as png might help, not sure.

No its all black when i load it up. And its a flat image so its all stuck together so the sprite outline gets lost.

Ok well, the pink one should work cuz then it wont erase the outline

just to clarify, you don't need to stay within the megaman outline. you can do anything you want as long as each frame is 26x30 and each frame is doing a similar action

I went ahead and made a blank body spritesheet for anyone who wants a clean slated megaman body to work off of. ALSO I added guide bars at the top that tell you when you've hit the 26 pixle width mark, so theres that if you were looking for something to work off of.

Don't forget to erase the guide bars once you're done.

Here's a superior template with a couple of things fixed, it shows where your avatar is going to be, some pixel cleanup, borders and dimentions nicely shown, and also an extra fourth frame added which Francis should totally implement.

Try to have the sprite done by Saturday and the battle will be on Sunday.

What time were you thinking for the Sunday battle? Weeknights aren't as bad for me any more, but I still might have timezone troubles at the weekend depending on when it runs.

Can you please make it so we have the option to make a seperate head sprite and not use our avatar? I dont want to change my avatar but it also doesnt fit on a sprite
this has been my biggest problem with the game ever since it was a thing that was happening

A temporary measure could be to create a secondary account, edit the avatar of that, and then use the ID of that avatar in http://nerr.biz:8081/game?usr=Nastasia&... (look at the URL of the avatar image and enter the name of the file, minus the '_50' or equivalent).

I don't know if I will have alternate avatars, but I probably will have the option to not use your avatar as your head. So you can make a body-sprite that includes whatever head you want.

i hope it doesnt look like its smaller than the others i made sure to keep the size the same its the same height as megaman i think it just looks smaller because its thinner but each one still takes the same space as the original sprite if that makes any sense also its transparent each frame should be 26 pixels btw theres just some extra space but i used it to make sure each was centered in the same frame as the original sprite

should i draw lines where each frame ends on mine since its thinner than the others?

Is Betalands currently able to support partial transparencies in sprites? (ie. if I were to submit a sprite with a transparent background and some partially transparent pixels from blur and the like)

yes, I think all modern browsers support partial transparency in PNGs

It works for GIFs as well, I think. I forgot what I saved my file as.
