Home Tycoon is the first 3D city-building game where you can create your dream city from the ground up, explore it at street level as your own avatar, and share your metropolis with friends – and it’s coming soon, exclusively to PlayStation Home.
We’ve been hard at work on Home Tycoon for quite some time here at Hellfire Games, and we can’t wait to get the game out to the Home community. Featuring a robust city-building simulation, tons of story-driven missions and activities, vehicle driving (complete with turbo-charged cars and stunt ramps), and over 50 avatar rewards to unlock, Home Tycoon is unlike anything you’ve seen in the genre before, and the first game of its kind in PlayStation Home.
From Hometown to Metropolis
As the newly-elected Mayor, you’ll gather resources and broker strategic business deals to kick-start your town’s economy. You’ll need to work with representatives from the mysterious yet eco-friendly TransUtopia organization and the profit-hungry GloboSyn corporation along the way. Will you lead a truly green city built on renewable energy, or choose the more profitable route to prosperity?
With over 60 unlockable buildings at your disposal throughout the game, you’ll craft and personalize your city with apartment buildings, luxury homes, public parks, power plants, research hospitals, police stations, and much more – the only limit is your imagination.
Start Your Engines
Every new city has its fair share of problems… and who better to deal with them than an amateur Mayor? From city-wide fires to complete nuclear meltdowns, you’ll wear plenty of hats (figuratively and literally) to save your town from total destruction. Each mission series comes with its own over-the-top storyline and activities, with tongue planted firmly in cheek.
Among those activities, driving tricked-out sports cars will surely become a favorite among racing fans. We can’t wait to see what our fans come up with once they start building custom racetracks and stunt courses! (Pro tip: the “Stunt Pack” and “Life in the Fast Lane” expansions will definitely appeal to those with the need for speed.)

This Wednesday, September 12th, PlayStation Home gets another global platform update to version 1.7, bringing with it some exciting new possibilities, subtle changes to improve the user experience and more. In other news, LOOT shares some cute freebies, Lockwood has a wonderful selection of items and new Gift Machine items, the Ca$h Carnival continues and more!
Home 1.70 UpdateApplication of the patch
If you are upgrading from an old version of Home (1.40 or earlier) then when you attempt to apply the 1.70 patch please wait for the orange “hard drive activity” light to stop flashing on your PS3 before commencing the patching process.
Camera
The camera has been added as an Action to the Emotes menu. This means you can now take pictures in Home while you are using a companion or other portable item.
- Select the Emote menu by pressing R1.
- Select the Camera option.
- The camera is activated and works in the same way as the portable version.
- The camera can be put away by pressing [Circle].
Changes to Commerce
We have made changes to the commerce process to speed it up and make it easier to browse and shop.
- Item thumbnails and object details are now displayed on the same screen.
- A Buy Now function has been added. Simply highlight the thumbnail of an item and press [SQUARE]. You will then be taken directly to the checkout screen where you can confirm if you wish to make the purchase.
- Items can quickly be added to the basket by highlighting the thumbnail and pressing the [TRIANGLE] button.
- Pressing [R1] has also been added as a shortcut to view the basket.
Animating Items
New functionality has been added that allows developers to create a new type of animating portable item.
- These items allow for an animating object to be used or worn by your avatar.
- These item types can also increase the movement speed of your avatar by 50% when applicable.
Ignore and Block
We have added some small features to the Ignore or Block function.
- If you ignore or block a player you will no longer see any emotes they perform.
- The ignored or blocked avatar is kept a bit further away from your avatar. (Yay! Personal space!)
- The ignored or blocked avatar will be faced away from you when they are close.
- “Ignored” or “Blocked” will be displayed under the name label of a player that you have ignored or blocked.
Private Message
- A Sound Effect now plays when you receive a new Personal Message (PM).
General
- A number of general stability improvements have been made.

1. nDreams – Street Moves, volume 4, and more!
You have had three volumes of the Street Moves collection so it would be rude not to let you have the fourth and final batch. This week sees the release of four new characters, all female, who are looking to dance anywhere and everywhere within Home; Rebel Raver, Dancing Diva, Clubwear Cutie and 80’s Icon. Check out the introducing video below and keep an eye out on some of the furniture in the background…
Were you watching? You saw the glowing disco ball on a pole right? That is The Shimmer Sphere and it is also coming this week with its stunning lighting effect turning any room into an impromptu disco dance hall. Also releasing this week is one set of the speakers that can also be seen in the video. BoxBeats: Dance is the first release of in apartment music entertainment system from nDreams.
BoxBeats: Dance comes with twelve dance tracks created by a mixture of independent DJ’s and allows you to play the tracks to your friends in your apartment. You can cycle through which tracks you want to play or just play all of them. You can pick up all of these fantastic items in the nDreams shop or any commerce point within Aurora.
2. Granzella – Grand Edo of Nippon Update
Take pictures with friends or by yourself. Everyone’s Picture for PlayStation Home has arrived in Great Edo of Nippon’s store and tenements! With customizable backgrounds, frames, pause, and photo effects you can take a variety of photos, from one person, of course, to romantic lovers, and even fun group photos. With weapons at the ready, snap a picture of yourself together with the Mononoke and the citizens of Edo!
3. VIP Nightclub x7 Update
This week in VIP nightclub x7, there’s a new exclusive bundle, a freebie for the ladies, and early-access to a new selection of Wrangler brand items from VEEMEE. But that’s not all—owners of the Ultimate Gold Knight collection from Heavy Water will now have permanent access to x7, just by being the honorable knights in shining armor that they are. Head to x7 this Wednesday and enjoy all the benefits of being a member of this exclusive club.
4. Lockwood – September Footwear Collection
From high heels to high tops, Lockwood know a thing or two about shoes – they’ve created more than 200 pairs after all! This Wednesday, September 5th, our pirate-loving developers give Cutthroats: Battle for Black Powder Cove a wicked update, Digital Leisure brings us the Space Station apartment, Granzella updates the Lagoon, Fossil Museum arrives to great anticipation and more!
Here’s the list of what’s new and happening in PlayStation Home.
1. Cutthroats 2.0An all-new Cutthroats: Battle for Black Powder Cove is making its way to PlayStation Home! See what’s new and get free coins by visiting the newly updated Armory, Clothing store, Game Board, Info Table and News Board.
New Armory: All Cannon balls and power ups are discounted. The addition of 4 new and unique looking weapons will require some strategy if you want to rule Black Powder Cove! All weapons have been retuned with varying ranges and damages. Be sure to visit the revised store to stock up on ammo and new power-ups, such as teleportation and mines!
Improved User Interface and expanded game play Experience: Select cannons, ammo and power-ups by using the new quick select menu. Ship damage indicators so you can see where the enemy fire is coming from. Repair your ship to keep it afloat. Communicate with everyone on your ship through Voice Chat.
Clothing Store: Check out the clothing items Male and Female pirates are wearing. Some of them even give you special power ups when you wear them while playing!
Still Free To Play: You can still play for free and collect coins to power up you ship, or purchase any upgrades through the store.

2. Digital Leisure – Space Station ApartmentThe Space Station needs a crew, and you’ve been selected to take part in an all-new out-of-this-world experience. Your Space Station adventure will have you defending your new home against incoming asteroids in the fully interactive Station Defense turret center. On top of defending the station your tasks will also include lowering and raising the external shutters so you don’t get blinded by the sun and you’ll even have to evacuate the garbage you produce in to the vacuum of space.
Also included with the Space Station are a variety of furniture, science theme props, a custom space helmet for him or her and even a UFO Sidekick to follow you all around PlayStation Home!
Your shuttle is cleared for arrival so head over to the Estates Shop in the Hub, starting tomorrow!
3. Granzella – Lagoon Update 3 + Office LadyThe cave next to the cottage leads to the Paid Excavation Site. Purchase a ticket and give it to the woman standing at the entrance in a swimsuit to gain entry.
- Super Tropical Points are available from various mini-games in the lounge.
- Collected Super Tropical Points can be exchanged with the Tropical Girl on the swing for a Home Reward.
The Fossil Museum is a gorgeous 3-story fossil exhibit personal space. You may now visit it, where your collected fossils are automatically housed in the display case.
Also, coming to the Southern Island Hideaway is an underwater swimming mini-game. Swim freely, exploring the ocean’s floor while becoming familiar with the local fish.
Introducing the Tight Office Suit series for PlayStation Home. The cool, tight silhouette gives off the impression of intelligence and sophistication. The line-up consists of 3 items, Tight Office Suit, Tight Office Skirt, Office High Heels. Any woman dressed in this sharp suit is surely ready for business with a professional attitude.
Just after bringing you Mercia: Fractured Realms, Lockwood have another surprise up their sleeves! Later this year the new, free-to-play, fast paced, action packed 3rd person shooter Uproar will be released in PlayStation Home!

Heavy Water – Avalon Keep Fancy PackThe kingdom of Avalon is really showing its diversity in the furniture department and this week will bring you the finely crafted wares from one of the local artisans. Head to the Mall and find the Fancy Furniture Pack in the Heavy Water store under the Avalon tile.
Join us this week in the Community Theater (theater screen 1 for any newbies in the house, er… Home)! Back again with us is PS Nation, sharing another episode from their visit to E3 this year. They snagged an interview with a developer from Vblank Entertainment about their upcoming title Retro City Rampage—coming to both the PS3 and PS VITA, and will even use Cross-Save to take your gaming wherever you are. We are very pleased to have been able to develop something in the fantasy genre with this project. It’s no secret that there is already a surplus of fantasy games available; despite this, we believe we have achieved something truly fresh and original. With the visual design alone, you can see this isn’t your typical kind of fantasy clothing and armour – drawing inspiration from various world cultures and ancient civilisations ensured the end result would be something a bit different!
Complete quests or sell items in the Mercian Store to get gold that you can trade for new weapons and consumables. Additionally, new armor packs unlock as you progress, which you can purchase from the store – this will make you really stand out as a Ranger, Fighter or Defender, and it can also help you identify other players of a similar level to team up with. The game is set within the fractured realms of Mercia, a world torn apart eons ago and put back together by ancient Guardians who have turned to stone over Millennia. Players must quest through this world helping to maintain the balance.
This game space environment is split into a series of rooms, which when combined, make up a Dungeon. Each room is like a small Home ‘space’ with lush and detailed elements maintaining the consistency and quality across a vast area.
The Characters and WeaponsThe game offers three different warrior types: Fighter, Ranger and Defender. You gain access to all three types early in the game, starting off with the free Fighter starter pack. Improved versions are unlocked if you continue through the quests. New bows, swords, heavy weapons and shields will also be unlocked throughout the game, some purchasable through the Mercian Store and others by using gold received from completing quests; additionally, Mercian items will crop up in the Gift Machine to send to your friends!
The Oracle brings equilibrium to the world of Mercia – in one of her hands is a pot pouring water, which represents her influence flowing out into the Realms, and in the other is a green orb, symbolizing the entire world of Mercia. She is calling out to all the heroes of PlayStation Home to assist her and her fellow Guardians in maintaining the balance of Mercia.
The Oracle is also one of the major quest givers; she’ll offer you opportunities to discover and collect elements of the Mercian world, including stones and shards, which are essential for progression.
Stones are a major driving force within Mercia — they are parts of fallen stone Guardians, and are filled with their former power and energy. Players collect them during the game and can either use their magic offensively or defensively by equipping them to their ‘Stone slots’. This is another element of the game which offers deeper customisation of play style, allowing you to become a powerful hero in the world of Mercia: Fractured Realms.

Mercia: Fractured Realms arrives on PlayStation Home this Thursday. It's Home's first free-to-play role-playing game, and follows the recent release of freemium shooter No Man's Land on the platform.
Like No Man's Land, Mercia apparently isn't straying too far from its genre's blueprints. Players can choose between Ranger, Fighter, and Defender classes, and these brave avatars can fight alone or co-operatively across "visually dazzling landscapes inhabited by supernatural creatures and full of spellbinding sorcery." There's also the incentive of exclusive Home rewards in the RPG, if that's your kind of thing.

This Thursday, August 30th, Home’s very first RPG opens its gates — and it’s free-to-play. Lockwood’s Dream Island floats into view, LOOT’s Active EOD (Entertainment On Demand) TVs arrive in a variety of sizes, and much more. Here’s the list of what’s new and happening in PlayStation Home:
1. Mercia: Fracture Realms
Unique to PlayStation Home, Mercia: Fractured Realms is a free-to-play RPG that opens up the possibility for huge worlds and a depth of narrative that have yet to be explored on the platform.

This Wednesday, August 22nd, members of nightclub x7 get the first opportunity to the Italian lifestyle with the Tuscan Villa personal space and clubhouse, plus Heavy Water expands its Avalon Keep collection with the White Knight bundles. Fans of the Internet meme Domo will be pleased as he makes his debut in Home. Finally, who doesn’t love custom animations and emotes? Konami releases some new animated B’Loons outfits, and nDreams steps up the cred with its Street Moves hip hop dancer outfits. There’s a lot to enjoy, so I’ll get right to this week’s to do list:

You’ve seen Avalon Keep and its furniture, but now you can gear up your Avatar with the Defender’s Pack weaponry and armor sets! There are two suits of armor: White Knight and the Exclusive Gold Knight. Each set of armor is made up of separate pieces so you can mix and match: Helmet, Breastplate, Chausses, Greaves, and Gauntlets. The Gold Knight gets an extra item: Gauntlets with Sword.

Konami updates their popular B’Loons line this week with four new outfits! Run around with a Viking, a Rockstar, and Mafia hit men, each with their own unique custom animations. Strum your guitar lazily as the Rockstar, jump and shoot your B’Loon gun as the Mafia Hit Man, or do a spinning float attack as the Viking. Check out all of the latest updates at the Konami Store!
If you haven’t picked up these cute companions, do so this week. 5. nDreams – Blueprint: Home Pack + Street MovesnDreams has a selection of awesome things this week.
When it launched three weeks ago Blueprint: Home allowed users to create their own apartment space for the very first time in PlayStation Home. The Classroom and Asylum style packs have been released in the last two weeks, giving users even more options when customizing their apartments. The community has been using their imagination to build some great apartments, including a Silent Hill-inspired maze created by AkumaPrince and mybro92’s Killzone-inspired Helghast Base of Operations.

This Wednesday, August 15th, Digital Leisure updates their casino with Video Poker, Heavy Water gives their Peeps a facelift and releases Avalon Keep, both Novus Prime and Lockwood unveil new companions, and more!
But before you check out all of this amazing content coming to Home this week, we wanted to give you a heads up about Mercia: Fractured Realms. The first free to play, MMO RPG on the platform, Mercia is hitting PlayStation Home soon! We’ll have more info next week, but for now, take a look at the latest trailer and prepare for its release!
Mercia will be an amazing experience for the Home Community, but in the meantime you can occupy yourself by checking out all of the cool content hitting this week:
1. Heavy Water – Avalon KeepHeavy Water brings you a new experience in the realm of private apartments with the expansive Avalon Keep Personal Apartment. Will you become a Lord or Lady of Avalon? Those who purchase within the first 30 days of release will receive Royal Crystal Crowns, for male and female, as an exclusive reward. These crowns are made from the rarest Avalonian Crystals and pulse with their own inner light. Novus Prime gets an update this week with three new Ship Companions! Control the airspace around your avatar with the Mini Gladius, Mini Witch Doctor, and Mini Obsidian Blade companions, each equipped with custom aerial maneuvers and sounds. They’ll follow you faithfully to the edges of space, pausing only to briefly recharge on your shoulder.

This free personal space includes a third-person shooter for up to eight players. This Wednesday, June 27th, we get ready to celebrate July 4th and Canada Day in PlayStation Home with a bang. Also, Granzella releases even more fantastic items, Heavy Water releases more Heavy Ink tattoos, LOOT opens up its fantastic machinima-maker Stage Set as an open house, the Midway Ca$h Carnival enters its sixth week with a new prize, x7 gets another collection of early-access items, and the Community Theater gets some exciting new coverage.
Starting off with a blast, head to Pier Park starting this Wednesday, June 27th, and prepare for our annual summer festivities. Following Home tradition, we celebrate Canada Day (July 1st) and American Independence day (July 4th) with an evening event of fireworks, rewards and community fun. I won’t spoil the surprises, so head there starting this week. Like any holiday, this event only comes once a year, so be sure to enjoy the sparks and explosions before the holiday comes to a close.
Fans of Granzella will enjoy the tons of exciting things that come to Home this month.
The long-awaited ninja costume has arrived from Granzella! Supporting Japan from the shadows, the stealthy ninja lives for the night. Creeping quickly, dodging attacks with impressive cartwheels and back flips, the ninja is able to defeat enemies with overwhelming speed. Dressing in a ninja outfit is like melting into the darkness. Live in the shadows and become a shinobi!

Sony launched No Man's Land today, a freemium shooter for PlayStation Home ... yes, you read that last part correctly. The premise? Shoot other people in a post-apocalyptic America. Beyond that, it's a 4v4 cover-based shooter with team deathmatch and scavenger modes, the latter requiring players to collect salvage and bring it back to base (capture the flag with multiple flags).
No Man's Land makes of use your Home avatar, strapping guns and armor over your virtual likeness. The armor can also be worn outside of the game in the Home space. No Man's Land is available now through PlayStation Home, and you can learn more about it by visiting the PlayStation Blog.

No Man’s Land is a new free-to-play PlayStation Home game that transports you to a post-apocalyptic America that has known only war for decades. Through this devastated wasteland, you must scavenge to survive while confronting tribes of heavily armed enemies focused on their own survival. Employing a cutting-edge cover point system and immersive gameplay, No Man’s Land is a first-of-its-kind on a console: a free-to-play multiplayer shooter.
We are proud to bring you this breakthrough Home experience. Comprised of industry veterans who have worked across a wide range of platforms and genres, VEEMEE saw a unique opportunity with PlayStation Home to evolve gaming by blending the immersive gameplay endemic to AAA games with the social and “freemium” aspects of casual games. This is something that is only possible on PlayStation, with its free online network and vibrant community. No Man’s Land is a game that brings something new – and a bit different – to the Home platform.
No Man’s Land is a multiplayer third-person tactical shooter, featuring a cover-based movement system and 4v4 team battles. Following the completion of a tutorial session, the player is given an introductory loadout that allows access to the Drydock and the game. Armor and weapon upgrades can be purchased from the Commerce Points in a variety of combinations, which we plan to evolve in time.
The challenge for the game universe of No Man’s Land was to create a realistic environment that looked like it had been worn down by conflict for decades. The focus was on rendering a devastated world where obvious resources were depleted and what remained was hard to find and dangerous to claim.
The cover-to-cover movement system is a deliberate departure from the usual run-and-gun gameplay of many other third-person shooters. No Man’s Land promotes the idea that in order to survive, “cover is king.” The cover control system makes moving between cover natural and fluid. Players can queue additional cover moves or interrupt any move at any time to divert to another cover position. This results in players making frantic dashes between pieces of cover, often taking evasive action when under fire, so they can reach the relative safety of the next cover point. It means players have to think ahead: where they want to be, which direction they want to shoot from, and where their teammates are. This encourages players to work as a team to provide covering fire for each other as they advance and sprint between cover points.
The developers decided to make use of the Home avatars so to increase the player’s connection with the in-game No Man’s Land survivor, which means that your Home avatar will strap on armor while its other physical features remain intact. Plus you can wear it out of the space into the game world too! We all love character customization so have been keen to offer as much flexibility here as possible.
Armor comes in several variants, increasing in weight and damage absorption properties. Heavier armor will slow survivor movement between cover, but it will be able to absorb more damage. You choose between speed of movement and the damage protection.
It is possible to mix and match all the armor pieces into whichever configuration you require. Light armor for hands and feet? Medium for legs and torso? Heavy for the head? You decide. The weight, speed and damage absorption properties for your character are then calculated appropriately.
Right from the start, the intention was to make No Man’s Land as flexible as possible: from the grenade variants, to the customizable armor loadouts, to the four-weapon carrying system. This means that players can buy any combination of weapons and armor to fit their playing style, while offering a variety of visual styles.
There are two modes of play: Scavengers and Team Deathmatch. Team Deathmatch is the time-tested ‘kill-every-enemy-that-moves’ game mode. In the Scavengers game mode teams must collect salvage packs from the depleted cityscape. These resources are all that are left of the old world. Each team must bring all the salvage to their ‘salvage dump’ before the other team does. This game mode is essentially capture the flag, but with multiple flags. Players earn points for placing salvage on their team’s salvage dump, for stealing enemy salvage, and for simply killing the enemy.

This Wednesday, June 20th, brings a new challenge of post-apocalyptic survival in the form of an intense new multiplayer third person shooter–No Man’s Land. Newer developer Bigyama releases several new lines of furniture, x7 gets several new early-access items and another sweet bundle, Lockwood’s Cucumber line of furniture gets an exciting expansion with some modern contemporary beds and a developer diary, and VEEMEE releases an arcade bundle giving a sweet deal on their collection of arcade hits.
Hyper-violent and intensely gritty, No Man’s Land is a post-apocalyptic third-person shooter unlike any other game in the history of PlayStation Home. Race through urban wastelands where chaos and disorder are ever-present, dodging enemy fire and exacting revenge on roaming bands of death-addicted warriors in a world gone mad. Squads of up to four players each clash in two game modes – Team Deathmatch and Scavengers – in pulse-pounding multiplayer mayhem where only the savage survive.
- Action-packed gameplay in a dark, desperate third-person shooter framework that introduces signature “Cover-to-Cover” movement and “Tru-Aim” combat systems to PlayStation Home.
- Two game modes at launch: Team Deathmatch pits two teams in a competition to rack up the most kills in a multiplayer session, while Scavengers places teams against one another in a fight to collect salvage and return to their base while avoiding enemy fire.

This past week the PlayStation Digital Platforms Community team attended E3 down in Los Angeles. This was also this third year we built out a virtual E3 booth, literally matching schematics as tightly as possible to the real deal, and bringing the community the sort of experiences you would have if you were lucky enough to get entrance to the real expo.
The best part about the virtual E3 booth—no lines! Some games and experiences at the real E3 require waiting quite a while to get in.
We would like to share some pics from the real E3 booth, so you can take a further glimpse into the excitement that is E3. Due to popular demand, we are extending the virtual E3 booth one more week. Aside from all the excitement, to understand E3 is to attend E3. In the industry, there is a camaraderie that forms over time, from within your own company, to friends who might work in others. It’s a relatively small industry, so at events like E3, it feels like a family reunion. There are so many people you know and love, all coming together to work hard (during the day) and play hard (at night). There are many celebrations over dinner and drinks, but it all comes back to the genuine friendliness this industry innately has. You see, this industry purely exists to bring joy and happiness to people’s lives. In that way, we get to make the world a better place—all while connecting gamers to each other to form communities over similar interests. Through all this, I am very proud to work for at PlayStation.

Given that I’m from the majestic, apparently spacious-sky-ed nation of Amercia, I should probably be sleeping right now. Alas, however, I face a dilemma: I really want to play Home. As in, right now. It’s freshly available for a pithy $2.00/£1.39, and – between a frantic, senses-strangling trailer and a fantastic fictional Twitter account – it absolutely nails the nauseating air of mystery that makes it impossible to look away from great horror flicks – even though you really, really want to.
So then, what’s with all this MRI business? What happened to the main character’s significant other? My brain is sitting in the front row of my skull, eagerly awaiting answers. It’s incredibly painful. But I’m also kind of a giant wuss, and scary things make me turn lights on. So then, to sleep or not to sleep – Home is the question. Wednesday, May 30th delivers another update to PlayStation Home. Lockwood freshens up their Showcase with a Fool Throttle Fantasy update, Konami releases new Anime Outfits, and Granzella brings you School Uniforms. There’s much more to share about this update, so let’s get started.
Lockwood Publishing releases their Fantasy Update to the Fool Throttle line this week. As part of Lockwood’s epic Fantasy Update, the Showcase has had a Fool Throttle makeover. However, before Locky could complete work on the Showcase, Brinsop the Evil Dragon descended and started wreaking havoc! Locky managed to trap him behind bars, but Brinsop could escape at any moment and he’s already trying to raise a brood of evil dragon hatchlings to take over PlayStation Home. Head to the Showcase and join the fight!
x7 members should swing by the club this Wednesday to check out exclusive items like the Raver Bundles and more clothing from Billabong.
Konami brings the cute this week with their Anime Outfits – including hats, hairstyles and outfits.
Granzella is also adding to their collection this week by bringing in School Uniform pieces, and three colors of Mountain Prairie Dresses. Check ‘em out!
Some of you might have already discovered Codeglue’s new U Love Green clothing line. Those of you that haven’t come across these new styles yet should look for them in the PlayStation Home Mall this week.

I’ll admit to not having heard of 2D night terror Home until the recent release date announcement, but it’s nevertheless got the cockles of my skittish heart abuzz with fascination. Between paradoxically dingy and vibrant pixel art and an apparent focus on exploration, there’s a bit of a Lone-Survivor-ish vibe to it. Those comparisons, however, don’t seem to go far beyond chilled bones and sweat-drenched skin. Home describes itself as a player-driven murder mystery with a room that “changes – subtly, almost imperceptibly – to reflect your perspective. It’s a horror game unlike any other, and as you’ll discover, its truths are entirely subjective.” Which sounds creepy, kooky, mysterious, and spooky. Also, just cryptic enough to leave me wanting more. Come inside, make yourself comfortable, and let a trailer devour your soul after the break. Or maybe intrigue you at bit, at least.

x7 Early Access Update—Members of x7 will gain early access to several new items this week including a not-so-furry Robotic Cat Companion and Active Item bundled together, some “meta”-physical auras from the four elements Flame, Aqua, Earth and Air, and more. First thing Wednesday morning, head to x7 to pick up these new items.

Already it’s happening—these Legendary Racers are gaining a following of keen young sportsmen and women eager to follow in their death-defying footsteps by racing (and dressing) just like them.

PlayStation websites hosted on PSN servers, like the Official PlayStation Blog, will also be offline during maintenance. The official PlayStation Twitter account, however, will continue to function properly, since it's on Twitter and everything. Updates regarding maintenance can be found there, though extended periods of downtime are usually situations where no news is good news.
