A portion of a Joystiq review...

In and of itself, though, Paper Mario: Sticker Star is an enjoyable, usually easygoing, funny RPG, with some unfortunately frustrating elements affixed to it.

A portion of a Siliconera review...

Super Paper Mario was in a genre of its own as an experimental side-scrolling action RPG. Paper Mario: Sticker Star isn’t quite a role playing game either. It’s a puzzle game with a RPG battle system. It’s interesting and witty, but also frustrating at times with unnecessary battles and vague puzzles. Paper Mario: Sticker Star is worth a look because it’s different, but don’t expect an epic quest like the first two Paper Mario titles.

#review Have you ever played a video game that you had trouble describing as either "good" or "bad"? Have you ever played something so simultaneously delightful yet frustrating that for every smile it put on your face, it made you want to ram a fist through the wall? Have you ever thought "holy crap, this is clever" roughly 30 seconds before thinking "why am I still playing this game?" More »

- gather as many stickers as you can fit in your albumn
- use them as you see fit
- not all sticker attacks work on all enemies
- you can’t hit flying guys with most Hammers
- can't use standard jump attack on spiked enemies
- Sticker Museum has a spot for each sticker in the game
- you have to find those stickers to fill the museum
- receive a prize for adding every sticker type to the museum
- collect items like Electric fans, baseball bats, lucky cats, soda and more
- have these items turned into stickers
- use these stickers to fight enemies or find secrets
- paperize scenes to find spots to put these stickers, indicated by purple blotches or red dashed lines
- some of these stickers will push the story forward
