I've decided that I still want to stream, but I don't want to be stuck on some asinine schedule that forces me to do a bunch of legwork with a very minimal pay off.

Schedule for the week of 5/2/11:

Friday:

Saturday:

So I need a new show for the stream.

Here a topic for discussing that.

I like to keep some kind of, you know, logic to the schedule so keep in mind what we are dealing with here.

This is the last time slot of the night before I just completely take over and do whatever the *crag* I want, and as a result it is usually the last show most people watch.

It needs to be great, it needs to be a big *crag*ing deal. Or not.

Here are your options:

1. New animu for the time slot.

2. Move the time slot back and show something else, pushing Ghost in the Shell into the final slot.

3. Completely delete the time slot and merge it into my Diginet Undercast where you have no opinions and I will do whatever the *crag* I want with it.

Personally I want something that lives up to what NGE was going to be for this slot. Either something classic like FLCL and NGE or something serious like Ghost in the Shell or .hack//SIGN or some shit.

My preferred outcome would be for this time slot to remain devoted to its original intention, but if there is no way to make that work and make at least a majority of my viewers happy then I'm willing to say *crag* it and do whatever.

Personally, I'm thinking Paranoia Agent because we never finished it, but that isn't going to last forever. Really, this is an open forum for discussing new potential shows for when we run out as much as it is for the new show we need right now.

So go. Discuss.

NEWS:

Hopefully you've seen this already, but the biggest piece of news is that I need a new show to fill in the crucial final time slot of Digibutter TV, the climax if you will, and I have decided that rather than deciding myself what to put up (aka just asking Flavio) I am going to let people decide what I should stream.

I KNOW RIGHT? I MUST HAVE LOST MY *CRAG*IN MIND OR SOMETHING.

But yeah, go do that. If we can't decide on something I'm just going to rip it out and shove it into the Undercast so I can just say *crag* it and do whatever I want with it. So yeah.

In other news, I am still doing the anime thing and I've decided that it is going to happen on Tuesdays. No set time yet, but probably Tuesdays. It's early in the week without being too early, and Impromptu Streams tend to happen on Thursdays or Fridays so it works out that way. At this point the schedule is almost 100% positively going to be:

Panty & Stocking w/ Garterbelt

Bakuman

Angel Beats!

Durarara!!

In that order. No time yet, but that is going to be the initial schedule. I'll probably shoot for starting around 7 or 8 PM EST, but we'll talk more about that when it is actually ready to go. Opinions are always welcome.

Also yeah, no NGE. I don't know what I'm going to do with that, it just doesn't really fit and I'm trying to keep this thing short. We'll figure something out. W/e.

Also, I am working on sprucing up the stream a bit. Let's just say that I am working on new bumpers, individual bumpers preceding each show with unique music and visuals. it is just something simple I can do to make the whole thing a bit more professional and make the breaks a little less boring while still bringing a bit of conformity to the whole thing.

The other reason I am doing this is because I'd like to get a few 1 to 2 minute bumpers in between each show so I can merge all of the files together into one big file that I can just set on autopilot and not have to babysit as much. Not sure how well this would work, Ustream tends to throw a shit fit when it gets to files over two hours long, but we'll see how it pans out.

So yeah. Shit is happening. here is your schedule for the week.

Impromptu Weekly Stream: Summer Wars

You *crag*ers know what's up. I've been hyping this thing up for weeks now and I'm sure you've all seen at least one trailer for this thing by now. It's animu. It's big, it's flashy and it is apparently very, very well made.

I guess we'll find out together.

Expect some mad Warz to be dropping in sometime this week during peak forum activity.

THIS WEEK'S THEME: Psychedelic Rock

I don't actually have, like, anything to contribute right now to this so I'm actually kind of excited at the prospect of new music to listen to. There's a few obvious ones I could throw in, but I'm hoping for some shit a bit out of the mainstream on this one.

Not that it has to be, but you know. It'd be nice.

This one is kind of a bit hard to describe in clear terms, so here just go look the shit up.

Here is a Wikipedia page, explaining it.

Example: The Doors - Break on Through

My Own Supply:

Jack shit. Get to work *crag*ers.

NEWS:

From now on I'm going to be doing the schedules all in one big post each and every week in the Digibutter TV forums. This helps keep everything organized and gives me a place to point people who are too *crag*ing stupid to look up the schedule for themselves.

Digibutter Radio is starting this week in full effect making it our third weekly stream; scroll down for more information on how you can contribute to that.

In other stream related news, I'm working on the rebirth of the Diginime Club and should be posting more information about that shortly. Basically, this is a smaller 4-5 show stream during the week that will focus solely on subbed anime and take the stream a bit back towards the roots it was founded on, if only for a day. The schedule right now is looking like it is going to be Panty & Stocking, Bakuman, Angel Beats!, Durarara!!, and NGE although I'm not sure about the availability of some of those so expect revisions to be forthcoming.

Okay so, without further bull shit here is your schedule for the week.

Impromptu Weekly Stream: Moral Orel

So it has occurred to me that, while Moral Orel may be one of the best television programs ever made, the first season is nothing compared to the latter portion. That being said I've decided to dump out the first season en masse unto the unwilling masses so that we can get to THE MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTER IN MORAL OREL.

Brace for unexpected Orels to be dropping throughout the week whenever the forums are most active.

Digibutter Radio @ ALL DAY on 2/20/11

(tentative bumper)

THIS WEEK'S THEME: Rap

So this is basically how this is going to work: Every week I'm going to announce a musical genre or theme and ask the Digibutter community to supply me with albums (not songs, albums) and then stream them throughout the day on the Ustream channel.

Why are we doing it this way?

1. It allows people to contribute to the stream and allows people to discover new artists easily via the album list I will post as a companion to each stream.

2. Doing a weekly rotation means that you only have to wait one week for something new if you don't like the theme for that particular week. Everyone wins.

This week's theme is rap, so offer up to us your most illest of mic masters. So yeah, pretty broad. Simply post album suggestions below and they will be added to the list (unless they are absolutely terrible in which case you can just go *crag* yourself).

Also this one is *crag*ing easy, so I expect results.

My Own Supply:

This is basically going to be my offerings for this broadcast. I'm keeping it deliberately small so my own tastes don't dominate the stream and, of course, so everyone has a chance to be heard. Because of this, I recommend that everyone suggests a maximum of three albums.

Madvillainy - Madvillain
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - Kanye West
Labor Days - Aesop Rock

Tails Doll
For soundtracks all I can think of is Um Jammer Lammy (Parappa's Songs)
RaveRaze
MadWorld Soundtrack

Why is the stream shorter?

You may have noticed that Panty &Stocking and Yuyu Hakusho were cut from the original proposed schedule I posted a few weeks ago, there are a few reasons for this.

Shit is getting too long. The stream was going way too late and people were getting bored watching shit that a lot of people didn't really want to watch and I was just kind of padding out time with. Luckily the two shows that got cut were becoming a bitch to find, so it wasn't that big of a deal cutting them.

Making the stream's run time a bit shorter allows me to show more of the good shit people actually want to see in a shorter amount of time, and some people might actually stay for the second half so hooray.

Also those shows were a bitch to find, so yeah. That.

BUT TEH PANTYZ AND THE STOKINS POPPLE

I am working on getting together a third weekly stream that will be solely dedicated to subbed anime, specifically shit that hasn't been dubbed at all yet and most of which is actually quite new even in Japan.

Facts are the main stream is basically just becoming Toonami 2.0. There is nothing wrong with that, but it is getting away from the roots it was founded on. Subbed shit just doesn't fly in that kind of programming anymore, so I'm just going to create a whole new block to show during the week that does cater to that kind of thing.

This doesn't have a name or time or anything yet, but here is what I'm thinking for the schedule:

Panty & Stocking w/ Garterbelt
Bakuman
Angel Beats!
Durarara!!

I've watched parts of all these shows, and I will personally vouch for their quality. They definitely don't fit into the standard template that the main Digibutter TV stream has developed, but that's the point.

This block isn't for those people.

This is just an anime block. This is the stream where we watch anime and it's like "Man bro those are some sweet animes."

So yeah. *crag* all ya'll.

AND THEN THE QUESTIONS WERE OVER FOREVER

Slim

When is the stream?

©na
The stream could use more Gundams
Turn A or G Gundam would do nicely, but I guess Wing would also work
The other Gundams are probably too WAR IS BAD or are Gundam SEED, so they wouldn't work well
