Despite its cute animal trappings, Rolling Western can be downright devious, but in the course of tinkering with its many mechanics, you reap the rewards of applying your knowledge intelligently. Yes, this way of thinking may seem bold in our tutorial-driven present, but maybe low-key outlets like the eShop exist as the last hope for games that don't condescend? Whatever the case, don't be surprised if Dillon's has you hoping that Nintendo brings some of its old-school sensibilities back to their major franchises.
