EDISON, N.J., March 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Majesco Entertainment Company (Nasdaq: COOL), an innovative provider of video games for the mass market, today reported financial results for the first quarter ended January 31, 2012.

For the first quarter ended January 31, 2012, Majesco's net revenues were $66.2 million, up 37 percent versus $48.5 million in the same period a year ago. During the first quarter of 2012, the Company reported operating income of $7.6 million, compared to operating income of $8.0 million in the first quarter of 2011. Net income for the quarter was $7.7 million versus net income of $6.8 million in 2011. On a non-GAAP basis, net income for the quarter was $7.3 million compared to non-GAAP net income of $7.5 million last year.
