The first Animal Crossing be great, but the sequels do very little t' advance the game. New Leaf seems no different.

also it be really just a pet peeve 'n not a vast deal but the overworld music *crag*ing sucks. I think I honestly prefer what CF did by using WW's music without even changing it despite the quality being low since the DS be a toaster with batteries than the shitty music in NL. Seriously how hard be it t' make decent music now? be everyone at Nintendo deaf?
