Time is running out to pick up the extra-special and very limited LittleBigPlanet Karting Rare Jersey! When the PlayStation Store updates next, it will be gone for good — it won’t ever return. So head over to the PlayStation Store today and don’t miss out on your chance to add this appealing attire to your Sackboy or Sackgirl’s wardrobe.
Don’t forget that this costume and all of our other costumes are cross-compatible across the LittleBigPlanet series. This means that your Sackperson can wear this Rare Jersey in LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita and LittleBigPlanet Karting whilst they celebrate the release of a new LittleBigPlanet game!
You heard correctly:LittleBigPlanet Karting is finally launching today! All of us at United Front Games and Sony San Diego Studio have been hard at work on this game for nearly two years, so we’re very excited to finally see our fans get their hands on Sackboy’s new karting adventure.
In LittleBigPlanet Karting, visitors known as the Hoard have arrived from far, far away on speedy go-karts and seek to steal Craftworld’s most precious prizes. Now it’s up to you to hop in a kart, beat back these otherworldly invaders, and reclaim Craftworld once and for all! Before you take the wheel, though, we have some launch goodies to share with you.
In celebration of LittleBigPlanet Karting’s launch, we have a brand new trailer we’re ready to show off. From a new single player journey, to racing and battling online in the multiplayer mode, to creating and customizing your own levels with an expanded set of unique creation tools, it’s clear that LittleBigPlanet Karting offers players a virtually endless set of gameplay possibilities. Not to mention, for the first time ever in LittleBigPlanet’s history, Craftworld is now expertly re-created in a stunning 3D world. Don’t take our word for it though; check out the trailer to see for yourself.
No LittleBigPlanet game is complete without a rare week-one shirt, and LittleBigPlanet Karting is no different! This time around, we’ve opted for a design that celebrates LittleBigPlanet Karting’s Canadian heritage, designed by Karting’s Canadian based developer United Front Games.
This jersey will be available for one week only (starting today) at $4.99, so don’t forget to snag yours before the opportunity is gone for good!
If you haven’t picked up your copy yet, you might want to consider a trip to Target. The North American retailer is offering a special exclusive free gift with your purchase. When you buy LittleBigPlanet Karting at your local Target (or online!), you will receive a Target-branded racer costume and kart as a free download and then you’ll be off to the races sporting Target’s iconic red bullseye. Remember, this DLC is exclusive to Target only – you won’t see it anywhere else!
That’s all from us today. We’ll see you all online and we can’t wait to see all of your amazing creations once you start experimenting with all of the create tools. LittleBigPlanet Karting is available now across North America. If you haven’t picked up your copy yet, what are you waiting for? Pick up your copy today!
Last week, Steven shared with you the wonderful LittleBigPlanet Karting Story Trailer, which tells you a bit more about the The Hoard, the venomous villains which have travelled on speedy go-karts from far, far away to seek out and steal Craftworld’s precious prizes.
This week, in celebration of Halloween, the team is ready to present a brand-new LittleBigPlanet Karting trailer befitting the spookiest of nights! Dressed up as a vampire, hands gripping a wheel of bones, Sackboy and his racing buddies rev their skull karts’ engines… to battle each other in a race through a mystical and spine-chilling version of Craftworld!
LittleBigPlanet Karting hits the streets on November 6th in North America, so make sure to pre-order your copy from GameStop if you’d like to secure the Headstart Pack (a GameStop exclusive) as your pre-order bonus!
We’re excited to announce the winners of the official LittleBigPlanet Karting 2012 Video Contest! We had tons of submissions, so we narrowed them down to a final Top Ten that we felt best showcased both the community’s imagination and the overall creativity of the game. We put each entry through a rigorous judging process and they all received thousands of votes, but in the end the winners were clear. Drum roll please…
The Grand Prize winner is Todd Doldersum! For anyone who saw Todd’s entry, Fueled By Imagination, you know why it won. It’s a great video that truly captures the ethos of LittleBigPlanet Karting, and we’re thrilled that it’ll be running on TV as the official fan-made commercial for the game.
Now for the 2nd Prize winner — the winner of the public vote — put your hands together for Daniel Mitchell! We loved his entry Rocket Chair Race, and clearly you did too. We just can’t help but smile when we watch it. (And we appreciate the nod to cats with laser eyes too.) Nice work Daniel!
Finally, we want to give a huge thanks to all who participated – without awesome folks like you, events like this simply wouldn’t be possible. We’re very happy to have you in the LittleBigPlanet Karting community.
It just wouldn’t be Halloween without Sackboy’s favorite pumpkin headwear! This means that the Halloween Pumpkin Mask will be returning to PlayStation Store this week.
This free costume piece will be available for one week only, so be sure to head to the store and pick up this popular costume for Sackboy’s Halloween adventures.
Sackboy has a grand adventure ahead of him in Acid Rooms: Dr. Acid Quest, a multi-level epic filled full of great gameplay and platforming fun for him. Alternatively, he can hop into a mine cart for a thrilling ride in Minecart Goldrush!
We also have two fun games that see you taking on the form of a dot to avoid the rest of the dots on the screen in a madcap mini-game that will keep you coming back for more, whilst we finally have a day in the life of a fly for you to play through in Born to fly.

You may have noticed by now that things are getting a little darker on LittleBigPlanet…
The LittleBigPlanet 2: Mm Picks have been featuring some downright spooky levels filled with plenty of Halloween frights!
There’s plenty more frights and surprises on LittleBigPlanet at the moment, so if you feel that your Sackperson is brave enough, queue up the levels in this Halloween Hauntings LBP.me List and check them out when you’re next playing LittleBigPlanet 2! Oh, and make sure that your Sackperson is wearing a suitably creepy costume, since it’s Halloween after all!
There’s still time to get into the Halloween spirit though! If you have a Spooky Level, Halloween Costume or Creepy Pod that you want us to take a look at, tweet it to us @LittleBigPlanet to share your creations with the LittleBigPlanet community.
LittleBigPlanet Karting‘s newest trailer is here, and it’s all about Story Mode. In LittleBigPlanet Karting, LittleBigPlanet is again under siege, this time by a group of ne’er-do-wells known as The Hoard. These venomous villains have travelled to Craftworld from far, far away on speedy go-karts to seek out and steal its most precious prizes – and it’s up to you to stop them. So grip the steering wheel, put the pedal to the metal, and beat those Greedy Gregs back to where they came from!
We have chosen the top 10 videos of the LittleBigPlanet Karting commercial entries and want you to help decide who will take 2nd place. While the grand prize winner will be chosen by our expert judges, we want the LittleBigPlanet community to join the race and decide which video will win the $5,000 prize. The more popular you make a video, the better chance it has at winning!
Don’t forget to head here by October 25th and vote for your favorite!
There’s just over a week left to send in your submissions for our LittleBigPlanet Karting Pumpkin Carving Celebration. If you haven’t already, be sure to head down to your local store, pick up a fresh pumpkin and get involved!

As many of you know, with Cross-Goods you only need to purchase a costume once to wear it across both LittleBigPlanet 2 and LittleBigPlanet PlayStation Vita. Now that the LBP PS Vita servers are live, those of you in North America may be wondering why you can’t access any content yet. Not to worry! Beginning Tuesday, September 25th, you’ll be able to head over to the PS Store and download a ton of your favorite costumes and goodies from other LittleBigPlanet games. With the latest patches, we’ve also updated our PS Store filters to make it easy for you to find your Cross-Goods enabled DLC. Once the content is live, you’ll be able to use the “free” filter in-game to see all the LBP content available to download free of charge, including your Cross-Goods. For more information about Cross-Goods in LittleBigPlanet, click here.
PSN has updated, and the Rare LittleBigPlanet PS Vita T-Shirt and Launch Spacesuit will be available to download next week on September 25th, when the game launches officially everywhere. Be sure to grab these extra special items, as they’ll be up for just one week before they’re gone. The Rare LittleBigPlanet PS Vita T-Shirt specifically will never return!
Our weekly selection of Mm Picks will see you platforming with dinosaurs, playing pinball and blasting robots whilst you defend your base. If that doesn’t suit you, we have a collection of great custom-made Steampunk Costumes that you can collect from the Dispenserie, a neat way of sharing costumes with the community.

As some of you may have seen already, copies of LittleBigPlanet PS Vita have been popping up early at various retailers. If you’ve been lucky enough to snag a copy, I hope you’re enjoying the early access! Keep in mind, the servers won’t go live until September 18th, so online play won’t be available for another day, but you can still play the game offline in its entirety. And now that you’re beginning to dig into Sackboy’s latest mobile adventure, we have a whole bunch of goodies and treats to show you.
LittleBigPlanet PS Vita has been developed by Tarsier Studios and Double Eleven with a brand new story that takes place not on Craftworld, but on the travelling planet of Carnivalia. Once the bringer of joy and laughter, Carnivalia has now been taken over by the mysterious Puppeteer and his evil henchmen, the Hollows! Now it creates joy only to steal it all back again. So, it’s up to Sackboy to save the Omniverse when the game officially launches in North America on September 25th!
In celebration of our launch, we have a brand new trailer for you, which takes a closer look at the Arcade theme, a theme outside of the main story that is entirely dedicated to a new suite of arcade style mini-games. As you can see from the video, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita goes far beyond the realms of platforming and will give everyone the opportunity to play a whole host of awesome mini-games on PS Vita.
The reviews for LittleBigPlanet PS Vita are out, and it looks like everyone loved Sackboy’s new adventure. We can’t wait until you, the community, get your hands on the game so you can stretch your imaginations with the game’s new tools and features.
Here’s a small sample of the things the gaming press have been saying about LittleBigPlanet PS Vita:
IGN – 9/10
“LittleBigPlanet PS Vita is the definitive LittleBigPlanet game. It’s everything you loved from the past games boiled down into a package you can play anywhere at any time. When the LittleBigPlanet community gets its hands on the PS Vita version, amazing stuff is going to happen, and the PlayStation Vita is going to have a free App Store.”
Polygon – 9/10
“LittleBigPlanet Vita is the best thing on the Vita to date, a perfect fit formed between the hardware and the franchise. But it doesn’t just succeed on a conceptual level; it’s polished, addictive, and precious. In every imaginable way, LittleBigPlanet Vita is a knockout.”
Joystiq – 4/5
“LittleBigPlanet Vita positively bursts with charm and cleverness. It’s more refinement than revolution, but that also makes it the purest distillation of the concept’s potential. It’s the best (LBP) yet.”
Time is running out to get in your pre-order for LittleBigPlanet PS Vita! If you want to pick up the rather awesome BioShock Minipack or the exclusive golden color set of Knights of the Old Pre-Order Costumes, you’ll want to pre-order now — before it’s too late!
Just like all of our other costume DLC, these costumes will work on LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, and LittleBigPlanet Karting. So, no matter which of Sackboy’s adventures you are currently playing, you will be able to dress your Sackboy up in these great outfits.
If you purchase the digital version of LittleBigPlanet PS Vita within the first week of the game’s release, you will not only receive a digital copy of the game, but you will also be entitled to both of the above costume packs! This means that your week one purchase of LittleBigPlanet PS Vita on PSN will also nab you the BioShock Minipack and the Knights of the Old Pre-Order Costume Pack!
It wouldn’t be a new LittleBigPlanet game if we didn’t have some special surprises in store for you to help us celebrate the release. And for LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, we’ve got a couple of costume releases that really fit the bill.
Long-time fans of LittleBigPlanet will know that we like to celebrate the release of a new LittleBigPlanet game with the release of an extra-special Rare T-Shirt that will be available for just one week only. So, allow me to present to you, the Rare LittleBigPlanet PS Vita T-Shirt!
This rather snazzy Rare T-Shirt will suit any Sackboy or Sackgirl’s personality by automatically matching the color of the t-shirt with their chosen Popit color. And with a simply adorable animation on the front, who could possibly resist adding this costume to their wardrobe of costume delights for LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, or LittleBigPlanet Karting?
Don’t forget that the LittleBigPlanet PS Vita Rare T-Shirt will only be available for a very limited amount of time! It can be snapped up next week for $4.99; don’t delay in picking it up because once it’s gone, it’s gone forever!
Reserved for the launch of a brand new LittleBigPlanet game, we have the ever-popular Launch Space Suit returning to PlayStation Store next week. The Launch Space Suit is free, and will also be returning for just one week, so don’t miss out on this astronomical attire for Sackboy.
Sackboy will meet a wonderful and rather eccentric cast of new Creator Curators as he travels around the magical world of Carnivalia. Last week, we revealed each of these characters and told you a little bit about them on our Facebook page. If you haven’t seen these biographies already, be sure to head on over to our LittleBigPlanet Facebook page and check them out.
Want to see how PS Vita’s features bring LittleBigPlanet PS Vita to life? Check out the trailer below.
We start this week with an incredible contribution to the community from John Holtkamp, known to most by the name amazingflyingpoo.
Last week he released his brand new and totally free LittleBigHub App, which is a rather nifty little tool that will allow you to follow creators, queue levels and keep up-to-date with all the latest activity on LBP.me !
To check out this amazing application for yourself, head on over to LittleBigLand.com to see what LittleBigHub can offer you!
This isn’t the first time that we have featured amazingflyingpoo in Sack it to Me, in fact he’s contributed so much to the community that he has already been awarded both the Rare Prize Crown and the Awesomesauce Pin!
So due to his continued contributions to the LittleBigPlanet community and the fact that he is already Awesomesauce approved; I instead gave amazingflyingpoo the opportunity to nominate a fellow community member for the Awesomesauce Pin…
There is one person who comes to mind that has done so many things for this community that I still cannot believe he has time to sleep (and I am not convinced that he does). In fact, this person actually planted the idea for LittleBigHub in my mind in the first place and helped me develop it. That person would be ShadowriverUB!
This community member has also established a means for all of us to listen to music that was made in LBP. Before LittleBigAudio was created by this person, I honestly didn’t realize that there was such an incredible music scene in LittleBigPlanet.
That still isn’t all that he has done. He is also one of the major contributors to the LittleBigPlanet Wiki. He has an active YouTube account as well which has recently been used to post LittleBigPlanet Karting Beta levels and in-depth tutorials, which I imagine will be invaluable for newcomers once LittleBigPlanet Karting launches!
So it is a true honour for me to be able to award an Awesomesauce Pin to ShadowRiverUB!
With such an astounding list of achievements in LittleBigPlanet, I couldn’t agree more with his choice of recipient for the coveted Awesomesauce Pin award, and with such dedication to the community, I cannot wait to see what new and exciting things community members like ShadowRiverUB will bring to LittleBigPlanet PS Vita and LittleBigPlanet Karting when they’re released later this year!
After all the excitement over the LittleBigHub and our Awesomesauce community award, it’s time to round off this week’s update with your weekly selection of Mm Picks, showcasing some of our favorite level creations from the LittleBigPlanet community.

This week sees the release of the free Autumn Creator Kit, which will complete our collection of Seasonal Creator Kits based on each of the four seasons.
The Autumn Creator Kit contains an assortment of Objects, Decorations and Stickers that can help give any level that true Autumnal feel.
Just like our other Seasonal Creator Kits though, this pack will only be available for one week. Be sure to pick it up this week, otherwise you’ll have to wait until autumn next year for it to return!
This week sees the release of Disney Princesses Pack 1 — after last week’s big announcement — on the PlayStation Store.
This first pack contains Jasmine, Cinderella, Aurora and Snow White. Each Disney Princess is also available for individual purchase, but anyone who purchases the full pack will receive a bonus collection of Disney Princesses themed stickers!
For full information on the contents of Disney Princess Pack 1, head on over to our LittleBigPlanet DLC Catalogue.
The LittleBigPlanet community has always been fantastic, but the creations published so far in our on-going LittleBigPlanet Karting Beta have been especially brilliant. We’re so impressed, actually, that we can’t help but share some of them with you!
First, we’ve got Roman Rumble by Luos_83. From intricate stone columns to rolling hills of green, Roman Rumble is a strikingly detailed track packed to the brim with opportunities to drift, jump, and boost your way to victory.
Do you like dragons? KlaraKatt likes dragons. We definitely like dragons. If you don’t like dragons, maybe My Dragon Race will encourage you to reconsider. Did we mention dragons? Dragons!
Fundamentally, Sunset Rift is more than meets the eye. Which is especially good news, considering it meets the eye quite well. Making excellent use of LittleBigPlanet Karting’s beautiful lighting tools, along with a solid mixture of both in-game and hand-crafted objects, Sunset Rift is absolutely beautiful to look at — and even more fun to play.
In celebration of all of the fantastic content coming out of this beta, we’ve decided to lift the beta NDA for LittleBigPlanet Karting! So, if you’ve got access to the beta, feel free to spread information about it to your heart’s content. Screenshots, videos — anything you like!
Last week, we also announced a contest for all you creative types! We’re putting your skills to the test by letting you design the exclusive LBPK PAX 2012 T-Shirt. Visit the contest page to submit your entry. The rules are easy: Just use one to three colors, and make sure to include a classic Sackboy and a kart in your design. The winner will be chosen by the development team based on creativity and style, so have some fun!
Beyond having their design immortalized in the T-Shirt, the winner will receive a 3G PlayStation Vita and copies of LittleBigPlanet PS Vita and LittleBigPlanet Karting! This contest is only open until August 8th though, so enter soon. Don’t miss out on the chance to get your very own t-shirt handed out by us at PAX 2012!
Finally we have a new selection of Mm Picks for you to play. This week’s Mm Picks include a tale of a boy and his dog in a rather musical movie, three great platforming adventures for Sackboy, and an amazing space shooter. Be sure to head to the Mm Picks in-game and check them out for yourself!

Hello Craftworld enthusiasts! Today, we’re announcing a contest for the LittleBigPlanet community, where you’ll have the chance to create this year’s PAX Prime LittleBigPlanet Karting T-Shirt!
We’re constantly amazed by the unique levels you all come up with, and we can’t wait to see your creative talents put toward this T-Shirt design.
The rules are simple; the shirt can be any color and must:
To participate, visit the contest site
Also, our artists can rework what you submit, so even if your drawing skills are not the greatest, go ahead and send in your creation! Winning designs will be selected by LBPK’s production team. We will take the winner’s design and place it on the exclusive T-Shirt that will be handed out at PAX Prime in Seattle.
The winner will, of course, receive their winning shirt. Additionally, they will receive a 3G PlayStation Vita unit, a copy of LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, and a copy of LittleBigPlanet Karting. Five runners up will also receive the winning T-shirt and a copy of LittleBigPlanet Karting. The contest is open now through August 8th, so submit away!
LittleBigPlanet will soon be graced by the presence of eight very special ladies, with our upcoming Disney Princesses Costume Packs. Belle, Aurora, Tiana, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Jasmine, Snow White and even little Ariel will all be ready for the LittleBigPlanet Ball when the packs release next month.
To celebrate the release of the Disney Princesses Costume Packs, we have this rather lovely wallpaper of our princesses to share with you.
Next week will see the release of Disney Princesses Costume Pack 1, which will contain Aurora, Cinderella, Jasmine and Snow White. The remaining Princesses will be part of the Disney Princesses Costume Pack 2, just a couple weeks after that. Stay tuned to Sack it to Me for more news on the Disney Princesses Costume Packs!
A massive round of applause, plenty of cheering and rejoicing is in order for yu-kamone, who is the grand prize winner of the LBPC Contest Crew’s 8th Contest, Aquatic Acceleration.
The competition was tight though, and we have a couple of runners-up who also deserve some praise for their great entries, so please give a big ol’ pat on the back to coscos-9 and deadmn for their entries as well!
Helicopter Shooter is a brilliant example of Karting’s potential. If you notice, there’s no Kart or Sackboy anywhere in this screenshot. Instead, you take control of a helicopter, flying around an arena shooting towers, blocks, and other buildings in a race to gather as many points as you can before time runs out.
Codi’s Beachy Race by codibear8383
Codi’s Beachy Race is precisely what it sounds like – a well-designed, highly polished beach-themed karting track. Smack in the center of this winding sandy road is a volcano, perched right on the edge of eruption. Careful when it goes boom – drive too close and you might get singed!
NEON Circuit by Crazy_S
From a plethora of multicolored lights and decorations, to a track layout reminiscent of coiled spaghetti, NEON Circuit is one of the most aesthetically unique levels we’ve encountered. It’s also an absolute blast to play – especially with friends!
Excited by what you’ve seen so far, but don’t have the LittleBigPlanet Karting beta? Lucky for you, registration is still open and you still have a chance to get in! What are you waiting for? Go sign up!
This week sees a healthy selection of community levels in the Mm Picks with a grand adventure, a competition winner and Sam’s true love story for Sackboy to play through. We have a couple of great mini-games, including a Japanese puzzler that will time your movements and sense of direction precisely in KURU KURU KURURUIN, and a Western-themed game where you can don your cowboy hat to clear a town of bandits in The Gunslinger Arts.

Be sure to follow @LittleBigPlanet on Twitter to find out how you can get in on these community activities and win this snazzy cap!
Joining myself and Simon on the LittleBigPlanet Community Team, Michael from San Diego Studios will be here to help with the community management of Sackboy’s upcoming karting adventure, LittleBigPlanet Karting!
Welcome our new LittleBigPlanet Karting Community CoordinatorMichael may be better known to some of you as ConfusedCartman (Or as Valeview suggested should that be ConfusedKartman now?), the former administrator of the massively popular LBPCentral.com fansite.
Michael will be a great asset to the community team and should be able to help you with all your LittleBigPlanet Karting needs.
Game Jam: Community Creators Get Hands-On with LittleBigPlanet KartingNot only do we have Michael joining the team, we both attended an event a couple of weeks ago where we gave a select group of LittleBigPlanet community creators an exclusive chance to check out LittleBigPlanet Karting’s Create Mode in its entirety. tsr13, who we recently featured on Sack it to Me with his Awesomesauce Pocket Moon Podcast, was one of those lucky guests and he’s taken the time to write up a lovely article to tell everyone about the game jam event and to give exclusive insight into LittleBigPlanet Karting’s Create Mode!
tsr13 says: “I pulled up a new level, picked the Gardens background, and began messing around with the landscape. I found the terrain deforming and sculpting tools to be intuitive and easy to work with, and it wasn’t long before I had something that looked a bit like a construction site. That inspired me to try my hand at creating some vehicles, and before long I had a half-decent dump truck and a crane in the middle of my site. Some random piles of explosives here and there, a few warning signs and presto! Instant industrial-themed battle arena. (Honestly though, it didn’t look quite right until the porta-potties went in.)”
To read more from tsr13 and to find out all about LittleBigPlanet Karting’s Create Mode, head on over to LBPCentral.com and read what our recent game jam guests had to say.
LittleBigPlanet Karting Beta: Start Your Engines…With all the excitement surrounding our new LittleBigPlanet Karting Community Coordinator and the recent GameJam, don’t forget that you too have a chance to get an early sneak peek at LittleBigPlanet Karting in our upcoming beta test!
So for your chance to get an early lead, head on over here and sign up for the race!
Summer Games Costume Pack Coming This WeekAfter Sackboy relaxed at the beach with the recent Summer Creator Kit, it’s now time for him to limber up and join in with the fun of the Summer Games. There’s a full range of costumes here to support Sackboy’s sporting needs: Track and Field, Wrestling, Gymnastics, Horse Riding, Tennis and Fencing are all part of LittleBigPlanet’s Summer Games!

LBP.me Gets Some New Features!Recently we rolled out a new update for LBP.me, which introduces a couple of exciting new features to our ever-expanding hub for the community.
Sackboy Gets Sorted with Lists!
The first of these is our new Lists feature, which enables a creator to compile a list of up to forty levels entirely of their choosing. If you consider yourself to be a super organised Sackperson, who likes to keep all their levels all nice and sorted, then the new level lists will be right up your street!
