We already know the story of Mega Man 10, but now you can see some direct translations of what we’ve seen in storyline screens thus far.
Mega Man: Dr. Wily, I will get back the machine that’s needed for making the vaccine, so please help Roll and the others!
Capcom is showing off Mega Man 10 at CES. CES has possibly the highest concentration of video cameras of any location on Earth. You see where this is going.
After the break, we've embedded off-screen footage of the faux-retro downloadable game's stadium stage, captured and written up in preview form by The Mega Man Network. Capcom didn't allow the boss's name to be released, so it's just "the stadium stage" for now. The MM Network blogger managed to play, and record, the stage in both normal difficulty and the new Easy Mode, allowing us to see some of the differences. It's especially notable in the goal post mid-boss area: in normal difficulty, there's a spiked ball that constantly slams into Mega Man, but in Easy Mode that obstacle is absent, making the boss a fairly simple matter. At the end, the game announces that, like Mega Man 9, there will be DLC and a time attack mode.
Mega Man 10 will be available on Xbox 360, Wii, and PS3 as a download in March.

These were taken right from the Mega Man 10 trailer. That guy with a giant knife for a head looks like some serious business! Thanks to NES_boy for the heads up!

The first trailer for Capcom's multiplatform retro revival, Mega Man 10, has given us a glimpse at all the evil, robotic things we'll be killed by over, and over, and over again. Evil robot castles! Evil robot light bulbs! Also, delightfully, the trailer includes a bit of the new soundtrack, which is as catchy and series-appropriate as that of its predecessor.
The last part of the clip gives us an idea of the scope of the new Easy Mode, which is quite a bit easier than we expected. We anticipated reduced numbers of enemies and a greater supply of health powerups, but Easy Mode actually makes the levels less complicated!
In our gallery, you can see new screenshots that hint at many of the stages we'll be challenging. There's an ice stage, a sand stage, a computery stage, a fire stage, and a ... truck stage?
- Japanese subtitle - Mega Man 10: The Menace from Outer Space!!

Like its predecessor, the upcoming retro-inspired Mega Man 10 appears to be destined for a multiplatfom release. Although originally discovered on Nintendo's WiiWare release calendar, the latest issue of Famitsu lists the upcoming Capcom downloadable on Sony's PlayStation Network and Microsoft's Xbox Live Arcade.
The news is rather unsurprising, but any excuse to use this exquisite Sheep Man fan art is good to us!
[Thanks, sacra!]
Though we just found out about Mega Man 10, we won't have to wait long at all before we can try it. Nintendo's new Q1 schedule gives a March 2010 date for the WiiWare run-and-gun -- just two months after Capcom starts releasing Phoenix Wright ports. What a wonderful time to have an Internet-connected Wii and enjoy Capcom products.
With the release so close, we expect more information to come out soon, starting with character art for all the bosses and the mysterious third character. We currently only know of the delightful Sheep Man and Commando Man.
