If this Raving Rabbids: Travel in Time trailer is to be believed, then Christopher Columbus didn't find America on his own. He had the help of two dim-witted rabbids and their washing machine/time travel device.

The studio behind Wallace and Gromit takes a walk on the wacky wild side, as a job listing reveals that Aardman Animation is working on a live-action television show starring Ubisoft's Raving Rabbids. More »
Ubisoft's Raving Rabbids franchise is ready to jump from video games to television. A report from Bleeding Cool reveals that Aardman Animation -- best known for the Wallace & Gromit franchise -- is looking for animators to work on a TV adaptation of the Rayman spin-off. According to the job call, the show will offer a mixture of live-action footage and computer-generated animation.
Apparently, Aardman already has a working relationship with the Rabbids franchise, having already produced a number of CG shorts to promote the upcoming Raving Rabbids Travel in Time. Ubisoft has shared its video game properties with other mediums in the past, with the Assassin's Creed series recently spawning some short films and an upcoming line of comic books.
You probably use a washing machine on the regular -- at least, we hope you do -- but you may not have known that the gentle rinse cycle isn't the only trick up the bulky metal box's sleeve. Those delightful little rabbids managed to find the time travel setting in Raving Rabbids: Travel in Time, taking a hilarious jaunt back to Rome in the trailer past the break.
Feel free to take your own trip past the break to check out the Gamescom 2010 trailer. We've also got some new screens in the gallery below. Decisions, decisions!
