What we don't talk about very much is its sens...

Dark Souls makes no exceptions as death is an equally common occurrence as the original! Get a glimpse at the enemies of Dark Souls in the second half of the E3 2011 Walkthrough.
I'm no stranger to hard games. I played both Prinny games (PSP platformers) and that's enough to kill a man. But Dark Souls, the successor to Demon's Souls, is a special kind of difficult. During my brief time with it at E3 2011, I think I spent more time staring at the "you died" screen than playing the game. That's good news for all of you that embraced the savage difficulty of the original quest...

Of course, this studio also developed the PlayStation 3-exclusive cult hit Demon's Souls, a 2009 action-RPG which inspired Dark Souls. Indeed, while Dark Souls isn't a sequel to Demon's Souls per se, it has often been described as its spiritual successor...

Kotaku's already posted the game's Western box art—it looks nice. The game's Japanese box art looks nice, too. Maybe, even, nicer? It's tasteful, that's for sure. More »
When Demon's Souls was released back in the fall of 2009, it surprised gamers for a number of reasons. Japanese developer From Software created a game that was so ruthlessly hardcore that it was surprising when the PlayStation 3 audience took so fervently to it. Equally surprising were its sales. De...
For those intrigued by From Software's Dark Souls, the decision to pre-order looks like it will be considerably less difficult than the actual game. Rather than selling a collector's edition of the game at a premium price, publisher Namco Bandai is instead offering one as the pre-order bonus -- meaning's it's priced at the standard $60.
The Dark Souls Collector's Edition will come in a metal case and will include an art book, mini strategy guide, behind-the-scenes development videos and a download of the game soundtrack. It will be available this October for PS3 and Xbox 360.
