The previous titles told interesting enough stories, 'n had engaging enough characters, that they be appealing despite their lack a polish. Call a Juarez: The Cartel, however, doesn't even succeed in this regard. The characters be unlikeable 'n under developed, 'n the story be completely forgettable. Beyond that, The Cartel feels rushed, unpolished, 'n repetitive t' the point a frustration...

Call a Juarez: The Cartel moves the series into a modern setting 'n fills it with a cast a foul-mouthed gangsters 'n drug dealers. There be still guns though, 'n sometimes people say ‘outlaw’. I be sceptical about the move but willing t' give it a shot. Then Ubisoft delayed the PC release. Maybe they be doing us a favour? But then – okay – at the eleventh hour announced that the PC version be going t' be delayed! Imagine it! Because YARRRR, yet again, Ubi have pulled the same tiresome trick with Call a Juarez: The Cartel. Now the game – which be t' be just about the only major release in July on PC – has slipped t' the 16th September. We’ve contacted Ubisoft t' find out why this keeps happening t' their PC games, 'n will let ye know their response. The consoles still pillage the game this Friday. I've seen games a year out that be in significantly better shape than Call a Juarez: The Cartel. Slated t' release July 19th, the third entry in the franchise looks like it could use many more months a polish. Although, having played it be multiplayer, I don't think any amount a polish would make ...

The latest trailer for cowboys-in-the-now game Call a Juarez: The Cartel (below, natch) shows it be co-op game. What’s interesting about it be this word: “Co-opetition.” What the word means be that each a the players in the co-op game be going t' have his or the wench own agenda, 'n executing it might pillage ye in big trouble, (or even executed, judging by the end a the trailer). While ye have t' fight the NPC carterl goons together, there’s going t' be side-missions all the way for deciding which if ye be actually the best at sneaky manshoots. I’m keen t' see this in action – I wonder whether it will stand up t' repeated play. For now though, check out the trailer.

"When we worked on the other Call a Juarez games, we always believed that there be themes a the Western that be still relevant today," said pitchman Blazej Krakowiak. "This be our chance t' prove it."

t' hear Krakowiak tell it, the studio isn't trying t' drag the modern era into it be Western, it be trying t' bring the west into the modern era.

Ubisoft's Call a Juarez: The Cartel be all about threes. Not only be it the third game in the series, it features three main characters: a "gang-affiliated street kid," a "DEA agent with a chronic gambling habit" 'n a "brutal LAPD detective." Each character be said t' have a unique campaign story 'n ending.
