Tubular news, dudes and dudettes: Double Dragon Neon is out later today on Steam for Windows PCs, and it's got a righteous new addition: Online co-op. It comes courtesy of the bodacious bods at Abstraction Games, while the original flashback beat-em-up was developed by Ducktales Remastered studio WayForward.

When it swaggered onto XBLA and PSN in 2012, Dave 'To The Max' Hinkle gave Double Dragon Neon a radical four-and-a-half-stars, calling it, "yet another jewel in WayForward's crown, unmistakably a Double Dragon game but with just the right amount of new flavor to make it something distinct, all wrapped in a brilliant '80s motif."

Steam Greenlight is increasingly resembling the opening sequences of classic Japanese game show Takeshi's Castle, known to US fans through Spike TV's MXC. Again, two weeks after the last batch, another teeming mass of 50 games charges madly towards the gates of Steam. If only the process was as hilarious as Takeshi's Castle; Greenlight would be vastly improved by dressing up game developers as skittles and chucking huge bowling balls at them. No offense, developers, it just would.

Highlights from the batch include rooftop-swinging action game Energy Hook, which is also coming to PS4 and Vita, and Richard and Alice, the dark point-and-clicker co-penned by Starbound lead wordsmith Ashton Raze.

Crowdfunded point-and-click mystery Detective Grimoire got through too, and like Richard and Alice the game is already available outside of Steam. Another game just out the door and now past Greenlight is Gigantic Army, an homage to 16-bit mech shooters that comes from the studio behind Satazius.

Adhesive Games announced that its free-to-play mech combat game, Hawken, is due for an imminent release on Steam, pending a week-long transition period for registered players.

Starting today, Adhesive will phase out its existing Hawken launcher and gameplay services, redirecting current players to a pre-release Steam version instead. From now on, Hawken will require a Steam account to play, and the game will no longer be accessible outside of Steam. All player progress will transfer to the Steam version.

Current Hawken players will receive early access to a Steam version that includes the majority of content from the game's recent February update, though some features may be unavailable initially. "This patch will be missing some core content and you may run into some of our QA testers still working on final polish," Adhesive notes. "Right now, we're aiming for a formal release of the update in the next couple of weeks."

Community
- Abandonment penalties will now be applied much more quickly after the abandonment occurs. (Previously the penalty was applied at the end of the match that was abandoned.)
- Abandonment in a ranked match before first blood will now count as a loss for the abandoner and all party members. (MMR will decrease.) For all other players in the game, the match will not be scored. After first blood, the same rules apply as before: the match will be scored for all players. The abandoner will always receive a loss, but all other players will be scored a win/loss according to the actual match outcome.

About the Game

Borderlands 2 continues its pattern of holiday-styled Headhunter packs with "Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre," and the DLC is due to hit all platforms next week on February 11, with the usual exception of PSN in Europe which gets it the day after. It's priced $3 in North America, and £2.39/3 euros across the ocean.

The Valentine's-themed update sees the hatted hostess Moxxi bring back the Innuendo Bot 5000 to try and make two rival clans go all lovey-dovey for each other. If only love was that simple, and not hilariously violent as it'll likely prove in the DLC.

According to 2K Games Community Manager Joveth Gonzales, Borderlands 2 is so overflowing with DLC that it's getting to a point where "technical limitations" may make it impossible to add any more - and, you know, maybe 2K and Gearbox could move on after that. That won't happen until April at least, as the fifth and final Headhunter DLC is due then - we're not taking bets on an Easter theme.

BioShock Infinite plunges into the second episode of its DLC campaign Burial at Sea on March 25, a worldwide release date that's confirmed for Xbox 360, PS3, and Windows PC. The game's third major DLC will be priced $15, or you can get it via the $20 season pass that also covers the previous two add-ons.

The news comes shortly after series creator Ken Levine revealed the second episode will last around "five, maybe six hours." As we noted in our spoiler-coated review, the first episode of the single-player campaign takes around two hours to complete.

Talking of spoilers, there's a rather large one given away by a newly released Episode 2 screenshot - we'll just link to it here. Now it's up to you to keep your hands over your eyes and ears for the next seven or so weeks.
