This morning, Rockstar Games unveiled a look at the content headed for Grand Theft Auto Online in the near future. By the end of Spring, the game should boast new weapons, player-crafted Capture Jobs and new co-op heist missions.

Come next week, Rockstar plans to drop the first update which will add Capture Jobs to the crime-ridden online multiplayer game. According to Rockstar, players will be able to customize these Capture Jobs by placing weapons, ammo and other miscellaneous items as they please, then share the results with the rest of the Grand Theft Auto Online community.

Following that addition, Rockstar will deliver the "High Life Update," a DLC pack that introduces new weapons, vehicles, clothing options and two new gameplay functions. Once installed, the High Life Update will allow players to own multiple properties in Grand Theft Auto Online, while the new Mental State statistic will keep a running tally of just how sociopathic your avatar has been within the virtual world.

Finally, Rockstar mentions the upcoming Heist missions. Scant details are available, but the developer claims players will be able to join forces with others, either random online players or members of their crew, to pull off complicated, co-operative theft assignments. More details on this particular update are said to be coming soon. [Image: Rockstar Games]

A portion of a US Gamer interview with Keiji Inafune...

US: You’re working with IntiCreates as a partner on Mighty No. 9. You’re also working with them on Azure Striker Gunvolt, which you recently announced. Why did you go with a traditional publishing model there? The game’s just three months out. It’s not crowdfunded. Why not take the same approach as with Mighty No. 9?

KI: There’s no very special reason why we split the two approaches. To be honest, Gunvolt came up first. IntiCreates is paying for everything on Gunvolt. We’re basically just consultants. We’re not doing that much of the development on our part. We’re just helping out. During that time, when we were working together on Gunvolt, I became more confident about having IntiCreates work on Mighty No. 9, because I saw what they could do. I knew them from a long time ago, but still, Gunvolt made me more confident about using IntiCreates as a developer.

7 Days to Die is what could be simply described as a cross-breeding of Minecraft and DayZ. Combining the harsh pseudo-reality of the latter with the voxel based destruction and exploration of the former, their success made its existence inevitable. Powering onto Early Access after well over doubling its target on Kickstarter, it’s obvious from a few moments of play that it’s still in the earliest stages of development. There’s messy bugs, crappy animation and confused mechanics aplenty – but also potential and, based on the regular patching from creators “The Fun Pimps,” a willingness to adapt, develop and listen. Have a read of where I stand after a few hours.

Alongside the above story trailer, developer Monolith Productions has revealed that its upcoming Tolkien-inspired action roleplaying game, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, will reach retail shelves on October 7.

As we mentioned in our lengthy preview from January, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor drops players into the chaotic warfare immortalized in Tolkien's Lord of Rings books (and their subsequent Peter Jackson-directed film adaptations). Players assume the role of a ranger driven by revenge who dispatches foes using agility and combat prowess reminiscent of that seen in the Assassin's Creed franchise.

Those who pre-order Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will receive the exclusive "Dark Ranger" DLC pack. Included in this bundle is a new character skin, new challenge mode and access to the game's online leaderboards. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is slated to debut on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC platforms. [Image: WB]

An Amazon listing for a DLC-bundled re-release of Volition's Saints Row 4 has surfaced in Germany, gaming marketplace analyst @lifelower reports. A North American release for the package has not been confirmed.

According to Amazon's product page, the Game of the Century version of Saints Row 4 will bundle last year's game with all subsequently released DLC and Season Pass content, including the Enter The Dominatrix and How the Saints Save Christmas mission packs. Also included are a variety of ability upgrades, vehicles, and weapon packs, such as the Stone Age DLC and the GameStop contest-winning Polarizer.

Other recent lifelower discoveries include a Complete Edition of Metro: Last Light and a Dead Island Double Pack, neither of which have been officially announced.

Sydney based developer Nnooo are pleased to announce their attendance at this year's PAX East event in Boston at which they will be showcasing three games currently in development. Nnooo will be showing the following games at booth 118.

Blast 'Em Bunnies™ is a pick-up-and-play endless shooter. Keep your bunny alive by defending its burrow against an onslaught of evil bunnies. Pick them off using your carrot rifle, pelt their furry hides with your watermelon pip machine gun or do maximum splash damage with your turnip mortar. The longer you play the more difficult survival becomes. But it's not just your own bunny's mortality you're concerned with. You also need to deal with the throat slitter holding your baby bunnies hostage.

Collect in-game coins to upgrade your weapons and purchase special ammo types such as heat-seeking chilli seeds, sticky exploding raspberries and bouncing pumpkin bombs. Shoot crates to activate power-ups and ammo types, take out the elusive golden bunny to collect a warren-load of cash and smash the boss bunny to get to the next level. Finding it difficult to picture the mayhem? Then check out this video then go the Blast 'Em Bunnies website.

Blast 'Em Bunnies will be a downloadable title and is initially targeted for PlayStation®4, PlayStation®Vita and Nintendo 3DS™ with an expected release in the US, Europe, Australia and New Zealand later this year. A demo of the game will be playable at PAX East.

Nnooo acknowledges the support of Screen NSW in the development of Blast 'EM Bunnies.

Cubemen 2™ for Wii U™ is the first indie game on a Nintendo platform to offer both cross-platform multiplayer and cross-platform user generated content. Developed by Australian studio 3 Sprockets, Cubemen 2 is a fast-paced 3D strategy game in which the player controls an army of Cubemen, using them to battle against enemies in a range of modes. Players can enter online matches and create and share user-generated levels regardless of which platform they are using. Players on the Wii U version will be able to battle not only against other Wii U players, but also against others who already own the game on PC, Linux®, Mac® or iOS device.

Cubemen 2, already a top-selling Steam® and iOS game, can be played in single player mode or with up to 6 players in online solo or team battles against other players or AI. Players are also be able to create and share their own levels using the game's built-in level editor. Wii U players will have access to all user-generated levels created on other platforms since the release of the game. There are currently over 4,000 user-generated levels to play. The game also includes customisable level themes and Cubemen skins and a global ranking system. A video of Cubemen 2 for Wii U can be found here. For more details head to the Cubemen 2 for Wii U website.

Cubemen 2 for Wii U will be published by Nnooo and is expected to be released as a downloadable title in the second quarter of this year in the US, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. An advanced build of the game on Wii U will be playable at PAX East.

ORBITOR™ is a visually stunning action adventure game which takes place in space themed environments ranging from nebulas to complex orbital systems. Within each space system players must control a space probe named ORBITOR to lock it onto objects, orbit them to gather speed, destroy them and collect the energy life forms they release. The probe is an autonomous and self repairing Artificial Intelligence returning to its place of origin complete with upgraded abilities and a new mission - to stop its creator.

The orbital systems within the game's levels are only a small part of a much larger network of systems that fill the entire nebula. They all work together like a giant machine. The exact purpose of the machine or who created it are not revealed until the last section of the game. Through the ORBITOR the player is destroying the machine and its defence systems piece by piece as they make their way to the centre of the nebula.

ORBITOR is being developed by Australian studio Evil Aliens. The game is currently on Steam Greenlight™ and was included in the Warp Zoned PAXpocalypse List covering The Best of PAX Prime 2013.

ORBITOR will be published as a downloadable title on consoles/handhelds by Nnooo. Specific platforms will be announced at a later date. ORBITOR is expected to be released on consoles/handhelds in the US, Europe, Australia and New Zealand in late 2014. A PC demo of ORBITOR will be playable at PAX East. A trailer for ORBITOR can be found here and more details are on the ORBITOR website.

All PAX East attendees are invited to booth 118 to play these new games and meet the Nnooo team. You can also join us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/nnooo or Twitter at www.twitter.com/_Nnooo.
