The Pokémon Video Game and Trading Card Game Spring Regional Championships will be taking place across the United States in early April and competitors will be battling for Travel Awards to the Pokémon US National Championships this July in Indianapolis, Indiana. This will be the last opportunity where Pokémon video game players can earn a Travel Award to the US National Championships so I want to ensure they’re given a proper heads up to prepare and attend an event near them. The Spring Regional Championships will mark only the second time competitors will battle in a Pokémon Video Game Championship Series event playing Pokémon X or Pokémon Y.

The Pokémon Spring Regional Championships will be taking place at the following locations and dates:

· Athens, GA - April 5th-6th - (TCG both days, Video Game Apr. 6th only)
· Overland Park, KS - April 5th-6th - (TCG both days, Video Game Apr. 6th only)
· Seattle, WA - April 5th-6th - (TCG both days, Video Game Apr. 6th only)
· Sturbridge, MA - April 5th-6th - (TCG both days, Video Game Apr. 6th only)
· Madison, WI - April 12th-13th - (TCG both days, Video Game Apr. 13th only)
· Salt Lake City, UT - April 12th-13th - (TCG both days, Video Game Apr. 13th only)

With so many locations across the country, fans, competitors, and enthusiasts have a great opportunity to attend the Pokémon Spring Regional Championships no matter where they are. Top finishers in both the TCG and video game events will receive booster packs, trophies, and stipends from a pool of nearly $200,000 in travel allowances, which can be applied toward earning a Pokémon US National Championships Travel Award or even an invitation to the 2014 Pokémon World Championships in Washington, DC this August.
