The UnEarth Initiative tells the story of the world's most expendable citizens.

Earth is overpopulated and to combat the scarcity of space and supplies, the world's government has collected "the undesirables" and flung them into orbit. Slackers, procrastinators, insomniacs and anyone else with a trace of quirkiness is huddled into poorly made spaceships and forcefully pushed into the final frontier.

Those looking to play along with the baseball season using up-to-date rosters this week on PS3 and Vita should take note: The first live roster update for MLB 14: The Show will arrive on April 8, Sony's San Diego Studio noted yesterday on the game's forums. The first roster update for the game traditionally arrives in time for opening day, the first day of Major League Baseball's regular season (which was yesterday).

"Please understand that if we could have offered the live roster on April 1st, without jeopardizing other critical responsibilities we would have," the developer wrote. The game launched today on PS3 and Vita, and will arrive on PS4 on May 6. [Image: Sony]

Murder, She Gamed: I just know a lot of you are longstanding Jessica Fletcher fans. I'm equally sure that you all know about the 1993 episode of Murder, She Wrote where the intrepid author entered a virtual reality apparatus not entirely unlike the Oculus Rift and, while solving a murder, wrote her own VR game. But on the CRAZY OFF-CHANCE that you didn't watch that show, Wired has a new, highly enjoyable write-up of the episode.Read more...

Characters are fundamental on Paradise Lost, and our writer continues to add new members to the cast of the game, providing a greater depth and complexity to the story. Here's a quick sketch of Acid, one of the lieutenants of Ash that leads the extermination squad. You can also see how it looks in pixels.

Make sure you don't fall for the April Fools' joke when you click over. Part of the post is a joke, while the other is an honest update on the game. What you see above is part of the true info.

A content rating for an unannounced PlayStation 3 version of Atlus' PS2 JRPG Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 has appeared on the ESRB's website, hinting at a future re-release via the PlayStation Network.

A PlayStation 2 Classics version of Persona 4 would complete the series on the PlayStation Network, joining downloadable PSOne versions of Persona and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, the PlayStation 2 game Persona 3 FES, and PSP remakes of Persona, Persona 2: Innocent Sin, and Persona 3.

Persona 4 previously saw an expanded re-release on the PlayStation Vita in 2012. Atlus announced that a quartet of new series entries -- Persona 5, Persona 4: Dancing All Night, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, and Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth -- will hit consoles and portable platforms throughout 2014 and 2015.
