And off there goes BIKE RIDER DX2: GALAXY to Nintendo of America for checking. Only a little more time, guys!

@NintendoTweet Check is done in both America and Japan, and if there's no problems, 3 to 4 weeks, so we're up for an early May release atm.

I've always preferred the PAL/Japanese Super Nintendo to the American one. Not just for its more elegant design, but for its timeless colour palette. This custom console takes that theme and goes all Final Fantasy with it, and I love it.Read more...

The developer of Spaceteam is creating a funding club, of sorts, for fans sucked in by the game's exuberant blend of starship management and verbal gibberish. The iOS and Android hit hinges on loud cooperation, with players getting just a section of the ship's control panel on their screens and bellowing orders that would barely make sense on Star Trek. That bold spirit of cooperation is being sought for the "Spaceteam Admiral's Club," a Kickstarter that seeks to ensure a year's worth of free games.

Dubbed an "experiment" by Spaceteam designer Henry Smith, the Admiral's Club is asking for $80,000 CAD to create several free games - for everyone, not just backers. "I want to continue making interesting, accessible games but I don't want to charge money for them," Smith says. "I want them to be free, for everyone. By joining the club, you're making it possible for me to keep working on free games for a whole year."

Smith proposes two games to start with: a locally cooperative treasure-hunting game called Blabyrinth, and another spaceship game, Shipshape, in which players pilot ships crafted from modular components. Those will take up the first year, alongside a few upgrades to Spaceteam, like additional languages and adjustable difficulty.

There are several Kickstarter reward tiers, as usual, but these are strongly focused around Spaceteam merchandise, like embroidered patches, and customizations of the game itself. Smith is offering not only custom commands ("Incentivize core competency!"), but a fully personalized, private Spaceteam made from the graphics, words and sounds you send over. After you send $5,000 CAD over, that is. [Image: Sleeping Beast Games]

A portion of a Dtoid review...

Even if you only buy one game you should be able to get a few hours worth of enjoyment here, and more than a few chuckles. Nintendo really took a chance with something as screwball as Rusty, and it ended up being one of the most innovative takes on the free-to-play model in some time.

Intake, the drug-induced shooter from Auditorium studio Cipher Prime, is on its way to iPad this month. Intake hit Steam for PC and Mac in November, after debuting in the Cipher Prime Humble Weekly Sale.

Intake has players click a series of pills as they tumble from the top of the screen, toggling the mouse between colors to hit the matching pills. It's rapid-fire arcade shooting with club beats in the background. Intake on iOS will have Game Center achievements and leaderboards. There's no word on exactly how the touchscreen controls will work.

"We've revamped Intake's color-switching pill-popping gameplay for a multitouch platform, and the game will have all the core features and content of the desktop version and updates," Cipher Prime says. [Image: Cipher Prime]

You wake up alone in a strange world. Your immediate thought: This must be a dream. That’s certainly what the young heroine of Child of Light was thinking when she opens her eyes in the fantastical kingdom of Lemuria. Aurora’s first tentative steps into the dark forest are something out of a child’s nightmare: gnarled branches reach for her and the oppressive silence is disturbed only by the sound of her intermittent poetic musings.
